There is no way that PKi is gonna let sponge bob exist in any other part of the park, other than HBL/Nc and the gift shops that sell his items. He is not hot with the adults, and nobody except for little kids would be interested in seeing him. I know very few little kids who like coney mall, not to mention the whole height thing, which I believe is required for most of the rides in Coney Mall, including FX Theater.

That absolutely would make no sense. Why would pKI build another 3d theater, when they already have two of them? Then can just get rid of one of those stupid movies, and pup Sponge Bob back in there. I doubt we will see PKi build another 3D theater. One with two screens and rooms, is enough for a park the size of PKI. Also, what in the heck are we supposed to be voting on above?

But King Cobra was around long before the Action Zone ever was. It just wouldn't fit in as a new ride, in that area of the park today.

i don't think Face/Off has anything to do with the movie, I think it is more like Face/Off in hockey, cause you get to face others who are riding the coaster with you. I want to know, what the longest line anyone has been in for TR:TR. Everytime I rode it this past summer and fall, the wait wasn't more than 30 minutes. Not to mention, the building is nice and cool in the summer, and nice and warm in the winter.

If they were going to do a jungle theme, it would have to go in another area of the park, like octoberfest, or rivertown. It just wouldn't fit AZ. I think they will probably theme it with some sort of action theme, just like the rest of AZ. Hopefully, this will be the last thing they are going to cram into that area, and then they can focus on making new areas.

That ride looks sweet at night. I'm sure it would look better, if the ride actually had lights on it, on the frame and such, not just spotlights, that shine up on it.

Its called theming for a reason, it fits in the general theme of tomb raider the movie. Yes, the theming is good in the ride, and no, it doesn't have anything straight up to do with the movie, but the ride as a whole follows the theme of the Tomb Raider Movie, If it wasn't conjoined with something, it would just be another top spin, albeit a giant one at that.

As above, thanks for the scoop! Every little bit helps.

Thanks for an update. I, and I'm sure everyone one else, will appreciate any info they can get on it. I know we will get more details as days go by. I hope even though ti was cold, it was fun. Any new hints leaked by Jeff Siebert that you can say? Just a thought..............Thanks for the info.

Those KI opening day photos are awesome. I wonder what happened to all that space that used to exist, between the stores/shops on Int'l Street, and the fountain? It would be nice if there was still that much space, but instead of those nice bushes, now we have lots of grass and concerete and iron fence. I think that PKI should restore Int'l street to look like that, and the park could be awesome again.

The only shows at PKI I ever watched, used to be the dolphin and sea lion shows they had. Other than that, the only ones I watched were the ones they used to have in Festhaus, so you could take a break, get some, food and watch something good. The Festhaus shows were always good. I like dit when they had the game show in there.

Does the park hire seasonal managers, or keep the same people on staff year round, and have them do other stuff over the winter?

I sat in the third row of the carriage several times over the season, and only got hit once by the water. it wasn't a direct hit, but did hit between myself and my buddy, and splashed us both. I alos like how the tehming can do different things depending upon what is selected. I personally liked when the sparks come shooting out, but only got to see it once this year, the same time when I got splashed in the third row. We were also unlucky enough on that same day of riding it, to be forced out of line, due to some moron pulling the fire alarm pull station, and the entrance to where the queue line enters the building. We asked the park employees about it, but they said that there are no video cameras in the queue, only on the ride itself. I wish I would have seen who pulled that, as it sucks for the rest of us, who enjoy rides, while one person is there to destroy our fun times.

Just looking at the fountains, one can easily see the problems that are with them. They used to look really nice, being white and blue, but now have lots of rust starting to form on them. If they are really going to jackhammer and fix the fountains, I sure hope they use good pipe, and if they plan on fixing the actual fountains that are made of metal, although this would be a costly option, they could make them out of stainless steel, and they wouldn't rust and would last forever. I am kinda unsure about how jackhammering and replacing the fountain would come at great cost to the park. Aren't fountains basically built the same as house foundations, but made to hold and pump water? I know it would cost some, but even with lights, plumbing, electrocity and fountains, I wouldn't expect even a fountain of that size to be outrageous in price. However if they do fix it, I think the entrance to the park and Int'l Street would look AWESOME!

Action Zone is way to packed, and I like how rivertown is kinda set in the woods. Its nice, and offers lots of shade in the heat of the summer.

It seems as if I have heard or read this from somewhere before, but I am not sure what, or maybe it was something like this.

They coudl redo a lot of signage as well as the outside of the buidlings in Coney Mall, with something that will hold up a little better than wood, like clad them in painted aluminum, or soem kind of vinyl or something like that. I think that the buildings in Coney would look neat if they had some sort of indentation around the roofline of the buildings that had at least one, if not two color neon lights running around the roof of the building. They could redo the entrance arch to Coney Mall, Clad in White Steel, With Coney Mall spelled out in cursive neon, and a Neon light or two running across the bottom and the top of the sign in the shape of an arch as well. I think there is a lot they could do to give the area a facelift, but also make it look retro at the same time. The building that looks like an old gas station, I think would look kewl if they made it like an old diner, with a checkboard tile floor, more neon inside, and and old vertical sign, with some art Deco lettering that flashed Diner? what do you think? just a thought, as the last time I walked through Coney Mall on Nov. 3rd, it just looks like it could use a major overhaul, and make everything look very nice and new. I don't think it needs structural work done to it, just some aesthetic work done in there, and the place would look just awesome, with its own glow during those warm summer night.

i'm not so sure that is the truth. i think it is more of they let us pick the locks on the doors that lead to nowhere, or the doors they allow us to pick always end up in deadends.

Well, we already have one confirmed thrill ride, and one confirmed family ride for next year, so I am thinking that whatever else is on the horizon is probably going to be impressive, and along the lines of a rollercoaster or something that is a thrill ride. In all honesty, I think that only upper management at PKI ever really knows what is going in the park, along with Park police/security and fire and safety.

I think this needs to end now, before it all gets out of hand........... again, like in the previous post on this subject. Also, Shaggy said no one has ever died at the park, cause they are pronounced dead at the hospital. This is true most of the time, however, if something disastrous happens, and either there are two paramedics or one doctor from AirCare or CareFlight, and they are at the scene, then that person can be pronounced dead, and won't be taken to a hospital, but instead to the morgue. PKI has been lucky that no one has been pronounced dead on park property, but that does not mean, that there isn't the possibility of it happening.

Some of the coasters do not need paint, as they have brand new coats. Vortex, and TG have brand mew coasts, Beast gets stained, but is looking good, and SOB has pressure treated wood all over it, whcih doesn't currently need protection......yet. I think that since we know we are getting new rides, they need to retheme older rides and make them look nice, and repaint Coney Mall. Most of it has badly peeling paint, and the signs for some of the rides look horrible. In all, I think Coney Mall needs a facelift, much like Disney did with Tomorrowland. Coney Mall can still look retro like old Coney Island, But I think they need to add some neon, and redo some things so it still looks nice. Just a thought.

Whatever is being built, there has to be at least forms if not footers already poured, so someone must know something. I am wondering is just maybe, we are getting a new coaster, or better yet coasters. Maybe we are A.) Gettting dueling coasters, that intertwine and such, with stations at different ends of the park, or B.) maybe we are getting some new type of caoster, much like something you could build in RCT that would allow a complete loop to happen, but actually has two stations built into the loop? Could prove to be two different coasters. Just a thought, as that would be pretty sweet, and with technology today, I'm sure it is possible.

Me too. It is nice to have some old faces, or should I say names on the boards, and even as much as it sometimes pains me, some new ones too.

If they wanted to make it better, get rid of the Paramount Story part and crap, and make it the Kings Island Story. Have a timeline of everything major that has happened (good & bad) and have items from the past as well as the present in there. Then it would be really kewl, cause I am sure, they have lots of old KI stuff hiiden in some warehouse around PKI.

yeah, and new rides to be built!
