Hello there. If you have spare $$$, then FL+ will make your Saturday at KI so much more enjoyable and memorable. I don’t know if there is any method to which coaster to ride first. For me, a night ride on The Beast is a must. Expect a seriously long queue time and in return the ride of your life. If you do plan a night ride on The Beast, you might miss the fireworks depending on where you are in the queue. Also add to your coaster line up Adventure Express and The Racer. In my opinion, Flight of Fear is overrated and not worth the queue time. I rarely ride Invertigo. If it's hot outside and you don’t mind getting drenched, White Water Canyon is a lot of fun, especially with a group of people. Enjoy your Saturday at KI!

All I could see today were sections of track that looked like they were about to be worked on. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

Two VIP experiences now on sale at Kings Island

I walked past the VIP area at CP many times last year. I don't recall seeing many people enjoying it. For me, amusement parks are about exhilaration. If you want to feel important, buy yourself FL+ and enjoy. -
It rained on and off severely today in nearby Dayton. I hope the weather didn't spoil your Soak City plans.

Enjoy KI, it's seriously awesome! My go to places for season dining plan options are: Coney Bar-B-Que Hank’s Mexican Grill Miami River Brewhouse The French Corner Enjoy!

I counted 15 stops today. At least passengers and ride ops are amused by the train's hesitant return to the station.
-
To be smelted and hot-rolled into coils of sheet steel. The circle of life.
-
My guess/hope is the PLC contractor is still under contract and the station programming is a punch-list item to be addressed soon.
-
With rain expected on Monday, I'd skip buying the FL(+) in advance.

The Beast is again my favorite KI ride: Near butter-smooth track Insane helix speed Fun and informative ride operators Deafening pre-teen screams Front-row-night-ride awesomeness Trim brakes need taming though - just saying.

What kind of wood does Mystic Timbers use?
NegativeGs replied to Diamondsback's topic in Kings Island
As a structural engineer, I'd say Southern Pine for a coaster constructed in Ohio sounds about right. If concerned about strength, the commercial grade of lumber is often more important than its species. The strength of connections between adjoining members is also just as important as the species and grade of lumber. -
Good news - my favorite KI flat ride is back in action.

I came and went from CP many times last year and never a hand stamp. I also noted that multiple visits in one day count as one park visit.
-
My understanding is a Gold Pass holder has in/out privileges for both parking and the park.
-
If I recall correctly, salt, butter, garlic, and parsley.

I enjoyed a to go Italian croissant with potato salad yesterday at the French Corner. Last year, I was a little disappointed with the French Corner. Hopefully menu items have improved, because I prefer smaller yet more tasty portion sizes.

I was at Carowinds on Saturday. Their Boo Blaster guns have laser sights My score, just 580

Which parks do you plan to visit in 2022?
NegativeGs replied to Bansheelover's topic in Kings Island
Cedar Point (maybe eight times), Kings Dominion (likely twice), Carowinds (hopefully first time), and maybe Kings Island (at least weekly). -
If I'm not there on the 16th, it's because I'm washing my KIC t-shirt.

I renewed my daughter's season FL+ for $549, now it's $750. That's a hike of nearly five times annual inflation. That said, I always felt season FL was a bargain, maybe no more.

Watching this footage a few times, I only see one trim break at 2 mins and 30 seconds.

I agreed. This year, I rode The Beast just twice. Each time in a non-wheeled row to minimize discomfort. Pre 2018, I rode The Beast every KI visit. Seems to me that the track’s ongoing deterioration, resulted in increased trim breaks to reduce rider discomfort. Looking forward to April 2022!
