    I originally planned to be in Alabama that weekend. I may have to settle for Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, California's Great America and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We'll see. I hope.

    ...which I said from day one. Just as I have said that Mr. Hart's goal is to fix up and sell Kentucky Kingdom, as he has done with both Kentucky Kingdom and other parks in the past. Long term, his plan for Kentucky Kingdom is unsustainable. He knows that. Private sector banks knew that. The rest of the park industry knew that. Part of the Koch family figured it out and bailed. A sale. Or a year. Maybe two or three. That's it. Maybe if it was a waterpark only. Location, location, location....

    Local legal sources indicate that the Park Trustees have a Public Board Meeting Tuesday at 6 and that it could be "interesting."

    See the area around Kings Island's Eiffel Tower. Compare a few years back. Or Kings Dominion.

    Kings Dominion has lush vegetation, mature trees, and seems to be set in a veritable forest...as Kings Island once was as well. Dorney Park is a sea of cement--bright dazzling cement.

    One of many, many reasons I adore that ride so very, very much.

    Compare and contrast Kings Dominion, tree wise. It's like it's a different company. Then look what Cedar Fair did when they built Fury 325. Yes, I'll say it. Visions of Dormey Park...

    Agreed. Maverick is by far my favorite coaster, and I haven't been to Cedar Point since 2014.
