  1. SlingShot, as Myself and DeliriumDreamer have discussed, is in Oktoberfest, sorry guys. Its got the awful Oktoberfest Music and you have the drunks nearby. I would have to say that even though Rivertown rocks my socks with Beast and TRTR, they also have the Train and WWC, however, since I am not the biggest fan of the Rapids Rides, especially really long ones, I would have to say scratch that, and the train, because it takes so long... Action Zone, stuff I can cancel out include DOT, SoB and XSF, since I havent been on DOT and XSF, it is only a "non-existant ride" to me. SoB hurts, so Mega Scratch... However, Delirium is Love, FACE/OFF Rocks Me! Top*Gun is great, maybe short, but great fun as well as Congo Falls! So lets see, we have Beast/TRTR v. T*G/F-O/Duhlee/DZST Well, since the ride area with more spped and height is also out int the open, and also this section houses the only large roller coasters in the park without cameras, I will say Action Zone! Im sorry RvT, I love TRTR, and I do like Beast, but I like Delirium a little more, and I love Face/Off and Congo and Top*Gun. -Oh well, Off to Physics!-
  2. Lets post a new topic about MaXAir! Woo hoo! MaXAir will be alright I guess, but as most people know, the Prototype typically rocks more socks! Unless there is something wrong with the prototype, they would prefer to ride the original... trust me, both Delirium and TR:TR have a space in my heart. As do others... Prototypes Rock! Zinga not Quake Tomb Raider Delirium even Revolution at SFMM must still be excellent! the world's first successful Inversion! But really people, keep up with stuff, dont keep reposting the same topic, it gets old!
  3. Halloween is meant to be a shock! Winter, well what is really scary about winter? frostbite? ha ha ha Winterfest is Much more family friendly.
  4. Stapling is no fun, but funny situation, yes.
  5. WTF is he just a skinny guy? or what?
  6. If I were a ride operator, I wouldnt like the torment you go through... yelling and bickering over crap... the operator knows best! Staple the rude b*st*rd
  7. Considering every ride I have ridden, I have either been stapled, or had to resist being stapled, most for general safety, however, some for cruelty. I have ridden some good wood and thought differently about the same ride from staple - non-staple... This affects the ride for the guest. How do you feel about Stapling? ...under certain conditions...
  8. Nope, Holiday world has big wood. Paramount doesnt like to see quite as much wood, they keep tearing down the trees, Holiday World Keeps planting them! Nice try Adam... Not gonna happen... Paramount doesnt have the balls to handle That Location!
  9. Im thinking in the newest paramount park... in Kansas! there used to not be anything in Kansas... hope they have good Tornado Insurance
  10. now how many times do we have to tell you Adam! The Zero G is IJST, The Star Trek Ride Is Borg Assimilator... not at PKI... always trying to give out false information, geez!
  11. I thought it was only 30!
  12. do you mean the 100 foot Track Gap! that is going to be sweet! I wonder how it will be guided back to remounted position... must have to be weighed everytime...
  13. I would like to see this happen, it seems like a good idea!

    the pay

And what a comfortable closet that is! I'm amazed with how many people love our drive box (and touch screen on the panel!) Im not amazed at that one, I Mean I AM amazed at IT, but you know, when you have that kind of setup, it should be standard to have people gawk at it!
  15. The Coasters at PKI are fairly descent, but i would find my star ride there to be Delirium, Sorry. My fav coaster is Probably Either FoF or Vortex... but I prefer Delirium, or TRTR, But Delirium Moreso!

    the pay

If I were that dedicated, I would sleep in the closet behind Delirium, and run it every waking moment I could... I would want to operate that one! Wow!
  17. Okay, back to a semi-original thought; A Classification of a flat is not just a "non-Coaster" There are several other ride classifications... Tower Rides "Journey" or "Car" Rides, ones that can ultimately be changed several times but give the same basic ride experience... for Example, the two track layouts for the Lewis and Clark Trail, antique cars at Holiday World. Lets see, there are others as well... So right now we have Coaster- ex. Beast or FACE/OFF Tower- ex. Drop Zone or Eiffel Tower Car- ex. Les Taxis or Days of Thunder So if anybody can help out with this, that would be nice... I am pretty sure I have covered most of it, but I also feel as if I may be excluding some... give me the type and I can group it.
  18. Actually, I have done some of this. It just takes 2 shots from the ultra-expensive fish-eye lens. Then instead of having a multitude of pictures to attempt to line up, you can line up two. It is very much so simple. plus if you do this for example, near the pond, you may be able to luck out and get a shot with no people on the shot facing the lake, and only ones passing by IJST. This would definitely work! They are cool little things, I had to do the primative 16 pictures to line up and Photoshop them all! Plus: Another advantage is that if you are trying to get a shot with a moving train, then you really want as few shots as possible! ' Think about it!
  19. You poor poor little creature, get out and do more parks.
  20. "Hopefyully my first visit to HW, and possibly a return visit to SFKK, was last there back in 1996, and did not ride Chang or T2." Are CP and USF getting coasters? HW is only getting a wave pool and a "Zero Gravity" Ride... and Second Train on Raven! Note: Chang openned in 1997, and therefore you COULD NOT have ridden it, duh! T2 was operational... and Thunder Run. Did you ride Vampire? just like FACE/OFF, but track is below the train. they only had RollerSkater, Thunder Run, Vampire, & T2... not a gtrand selection, so one would assume the headliner was Thunder Run, the only non-production model ride in the park! LOL Kentucky kingdom IS worth hitting for anybody in the area *ahem* Klockster, you should hit it on the way back from HW... find a cheap hotel or something... Kentucky Kingdom Sucks, but they do have a few coasters that are pretty good... Thunder Run, Greezed Lightnin', Chang, The Pink "Lola" Twisted Twin... not so much the green (aka Stella). the whole park needs repainting, and it gets loud when planes are landing and taking off... Note also: SFKK is basically built under an airport! so there are red flashing lights on anything taller than 100 feet I believe. So anyhow... dont just blow it off, It takes me two hours to get there, but I visited 5 times this past year, which is way less than HW, but 2.5 times more than my PKI Visits... also: get to SFKK a bit early, and rush across "The Bridge" it isnt crowded over there at frist, and you go ahead and get Chang and T2( OW!) out of the way... and circle around throught the Woods of the Wicked and out of the International Village and back across the Bridge, head to the left and wrap by the Action theater, then the Hellevator, Wild Mouse (aka Roadrunner) and Finally Greezed Lightnin' My Fav Steel!!! If you haven't ridden It, you wouldn't know. And for those of you who think I am dumb for that being my favorite, just back off. I like it, and it is very good, no records, but nice nice ride, a bit of history. Greezed Lightnin' is (for those of you who don't know) a Drop Weight Model Launched Shuttle Looper... Ive ridden when it faults out, It was nice. Fright*Fest is a good time to visit there though, not big crowds, but they show up a bit towards the later times... vist early during Fright*Fest, later in the day gets a little busy, but not even enough to put both trains on Chang! so you wait, FOREVER!
  21. It would seem much easier for a Maintenance Crew to work with a few manufacturers, I know for one thing, Zamperla is not one of the greatest for their Service and Support Department, they are, to put it nicely, lacking. If a Park, for Example Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, has Several Vekoma Rides, Past and Present... Vampire T2 Roller Skater Quake (prototype) Carousel Giant Wheel and a few Huss Rides Currently... Chaos Rainbow Bluebeard's Bounty Enterprise They seem to want to work with only specific Manufacturers, they have a minimal interst in Zamperla, other than Kiddie Rides, they are simpler to maintain, and they are all made cheap by Zamperla, they have at least 10 Zamperla Kiddie Rides. Such could follow PKI, however, with Differnt Manufacturers, such as Premier Parks, Huss, Arrow, and as sad as it is... Vekoma...Face/Off and RRR. Nice rides from an awful Manufacturer. ...With such a variety, they would certainly be able to order a few extra pieces, and sensors, and such... this would drastically reduce Maintenance Suicide Rates... lol, really it would increase sanity, and *ahem* reduce Maintenance Cursing, as Ive heard... SFKK!
  22. Truly i must second UH's Notion... WTF??? PKI is not small, by any means. Some parks are small, some that come to mind include Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, well, the "Front Portion," Holiday World, Beech Bend, and so on... I wouldn't personally like to see an "Indoor Waterpark Resort" however, if it can actually live to impress me, then maybe I will support it, but not until I see it.
  23. I have been by Holiday World when they put the cars on the track, plus there are some photos on Negative - G that show this, the Legend Cars are set in the Halloween Plaza in front of Merlin's Castle & Arcade as they wait to be mounted back into their place! The Raven gets put in the Rudolph's Reindeer Ranch Area, and they are stored in the warehouses during the actual winter and come out from hibernation in spring, specifically, early-April to mid-April. These things are miraculous sights to see! Check Paul Drabek's Sight out! he even has pictures of the swings, about to be re-mounted. and the fromer Roundhouse being torn out. It is an excellent site! It is an excellent sight!
  24. Isnt this the 3 month mark until PKI opens?
  25. this makes the score for #7 a "negative one" votes
