  1. There wasn't even 800 people in the park on Saturday. You were actually lucky that the park even opened because they were thinking about not even opening on Saturday the night before. true, but the tickets were being honored for sunday, as everybody knows, yet i WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO GO on sunday, so i was dissappointed... but thinges were better then on DeliriumDreamer's Clock is the best! "Fascinating...My father would love to have seen this... youre making a big mistake!..."
  2. me too, most definitely!!
  3. It is my understanding that, if the train rolls back in a convenient location, they just more or less push/pull it to get it in motion, but if it's in a difficult spot, they sometimes have to remove a section of track to get the train off. Ok, here is what happens, im sure every one has noticed the "rollback" clickers on The Racer or The Beast right? they look like a lift segment, but have no chain, they catch the chaindogs and if the ride is not fast enough to make it over, then it stops on it, The Legend has 2 of these, one on top of the Spiral Drop, and one on the Double-up crest. if the train stops there, then it is very simple to wench it over the top, then it catches the next one and so on, after the double up, it goes fast enough to make it to the station once again. hmm... as far as what happens if it is in a difficult spot, they do remove track, but this is more common of a problem to wooden coasters for Example: Twisted Twins at SFKK, Lola valleyed midcourse, and she had to be lifted off, they take a portion of the track off, and take the train apart, then they lift a car off, then the next, and so on until its off, so really its not that difficult, but it is strenuous, and not a very good thing to happen, with the kiddy coaster i referred to... The Howler, it is simply pushed to the station, it doesnt take too much to get it to the right spot. at least it doesn't look that way. I think this coaster does it a bit, but then again, its the Screamer from Casey's Fair in Utica KY, so its basically Crap. ha ha ha... Edit: This is me, Legend Rider, in the glasses, and Howler Rider on the Screamer!!
  4. ha ha, Fabio got injured on Apollo's Chariot.... GOOSE!
  5. ok... CRAZY!! i love riding DZ, well i rode it twice, I have ridden TRTR 3 times, and i was freaked out on it, i love it but wow the OTSR reliance there is crazy! at least its not Lap bars on TRTR, that would be killer pain on the legs!!!! wow ha ha I have never seen a 90 tilt on those, ive seen a 45 tilt, but thats about it... its a neat thing really, but to retrofit DZ to it would be ridiculous, which i know was really never mentioned.
  6. the helix does not have a vector like that, the vector does not rotate, but the wheels do... the vector is to the left while riding... Um, Bobby, get off my back, people ask, i demonstrate, lecture even... Its all good, and im pretty sure im doing a descent job at it! Rollbacks are very common, for me to get to PKI i have to pass Holiday World, you can see the Howler Roller coaster from the Road, and it has valleyed, meaning there was not enough Momentum to get it over that hill, either the wheels are too tight, or there is simply not enough mass to get it over, either way, it should be operating just fine for the season... as much as i know everyone visits other parks for kiddy coasters! ha ha! no dis to Howler Rider For everyone else, pick up a physics book and read it, you can find out some really cool stuff!! Roller Coasters and Amusement rides are in it, including a ride that looks identical to Zephyr... to post later...
  7. Did you see the weather? Feel it? The employees could hardly work in that, let alone have you ride in it! Diana, Truly, it could have been open longer, it got warmer later in the day, the park closed, and about an hour later, it was decent outside! as far as working in it, you guys have that awesome fleece to wear. ha ha ha and its not like the water rides were open! Im talking like Delirium and Fof and TRTR and other good ones could have been open, i mean I was one of the biggest sufferers of the day, my hands turned PURPLE on The Beast!! I love to put my hands up! Bullet rain! it would have been really nice if Seibert had asked us if we would like a rain check ticket... or anything like that, i mean there was no possibility for that next day. and again, if you want the rest of the explanation, i cant say it here, AIM me
  8. How about the Mini Coopers with Spinners!!
  9. --- ok, look people, this is just physics... --- get off my back TRTRGuy... --- ok, Momentum (p) is defined as Mass*Velocity, say IJST MiniCoopers are mass (M) and the total mass of all riders is (m) therefore the total of the train is (M+m). with any mass, the train will be launched at the same speed, but have differing momenta. thus, (p) will be different, the ride will seem to go faster, however it is the same, but the increase in momentum will cause it to glide over the top, and not do a faux-rollback! --- Now if you wanted it to still do the faux rollback for added thrills, the acceleration of the launch track would have to be a tad smaller, then the momenta would be near the same. --- My Guess, the ride will "go faster" though it will be at the same velocity. Think once more, Most Coasters still go a bit faster with added masses, and since its not so extremely fast, the ride itself is incredibly heavy, for example, The Beasts train is a few tons, so with a small increase in mass, this causes the train to go a bit faster (or feel like it) This is easier for me to demonstrate with the Zamperla Family Coaster, i have seen the ride dispatch with sandbags in 2002 due to the ride not having enough mass to crest the helix, and since the ride would go really fast if they loosened the wheels a bit, the ride would not make it over the helix without the added mass (m_c) so therefore the train was mass (M+m_c) and with riders, (M+m_r) where (m_r) is the total mass of riders. --- oh yeah, and if you want the train to go even faster, try to have the center of mass be toward the rear of the train! if there are empty cars on it, try to have them be up front, if there is more mass in the back, then the train's "center" will be forced downward on the inclines for a longer span of time, try a wooden coaster like beastie some time, run it without riders, then with a totally loaded train of kids, then totally loaded with adults, now do a 1/2 and1/2 balance then do a kids in front parents in back, then do opposite, then do only adults in all of back, front empty, then reverse it, the times for arrival of the train will be different, the train will also dispatch faster with added mass. --- Hooray for Physics!! ---
  10. However, I was not able to attend the PKI Sneek Preview Sunday... I was driving back home... on only 5 hours of sleep!
  11. Ok, I am grateful for going to PKI on Saturday, thanks to the great people who helped get me the opportunity to visit again. though i knew the park may shut down a bit early due to weather, i was not expecting noon! Jeff Seibert came around and said "we close at noon" i was saddened, so my group rode only a few rides... Myself, DeliriumDreamer, Klockster, and TRTR Guy Rode Delirium, then we walked back with Howler Rider to Flight of Fear, and the Drum Lights were on... King Cobra still in there! next, we went to TRTR and got both Howler Rider and Klockster on it for the first time... YES!! they even wanted to ride again! then Beast was close by, so we rode it, then we quickly went back to TRTR and rode it, then raced on over to Flight of Fear, since it was semi warm in there. lastly, we rode recaR, we saw BoddaH in the train before us, and we waved... the ride on recaR was good, then we were hoping to ride Delirium one last time, but no luck, the park had closed. bummer. Honestly, the park could have been open longer, I drove 4.5 hours to get to PKI to enjoy 2 hours of it. then we went to Cincinnati Mills to ride Boa Squeeze!! #26!! then we all just hung out for a while, it was great. even though i had a crappy time at the park due to operation times, I really enjoyed myself for the entire trip. BTW... Klockster had never ridden Delirium, Flight of Fear, or Tomb Raider: The Ride before, and he loved them all...
  12. okay i have a bone to pick... first... Why the hell did Arrow not think to bank?? they knew that there would be tremendous stress, standard physics!! second... i know what KING COBRA (KC) is, but why do i keep seeing KCKC?
  13. Vine Tunnels are rockin'!!
  14. maybe not, um, look at the records first suspended coaster (Bat) first successful standup (KC) Longest Wood (Beast) Fastest Wooden Coaster at time (Beast) Tallest Wooden Coaster at time (Beast) Tallest Wood (SOB) Fastest Wood (SOB) Steepest Drop on Wood (SOB) tallest wooden structure (SOB) Only Looping Wood (SOB) first Intamin Gyro Drop (Drop Zone) First 6-Looping Coaster (Vortex) First Giant Top Spin (TRTR) First Giant Frisbee (Delirium) Just look, you might not see the record breakers for a while, there are quite a few at the park... ...I could ride Delirium for a while though. Lets see a cool new section of flats and thrills...
  15. well it wasnt what i was going for... but ha ha! yes KC was great, never rode it, but it never had injuries or death!
  16. Wrong!! It was simply the first successful one in the world... which is what made it a classic, but now its gone... poor Cobra... oh well...
  17. they may have sold those cars... they dont look comfy.
  18. I could go for them all up there! Wow! I knew about the Inverted Centrifuge for about 9 months, in its theory stages... ...but the name just really reflects what it is... INSANITY!

  20. how about before hand, when you are visiting the park on Saturday... wearing a RED Shirt with a YELLOW Bandana near a guy (me) Wearing an ORANGE Shirt with a PURPLE Bandana and a guy (friend of mine) Wearing a BLUE Shirt and a BLUE Bandana Delirium Dreamer Legend Rider Howler Rider (not a member, but he is chicken, so its ok, no TRTR, DZ, SS, XSF, I have had all, but XSF) Be sure to find me, I will be hanging out with other PKICers, and Ride Ops.
  21. Face Off will always have the long lines... VERY LOW CAPACITY! other than that, i think it might be FOF, indoor ride... that doesnt get you wet at all!
  22. Okay, i cant start my own topic for some bizaar reason, so since we were talking about shirts on here... SNEAK PEEK WEEKEND, I WILL BE IN THE PARK I will be wearing a shirt that if you keep your eyes open, you will be able to see me from a mile away! Im orange, and my Friend is Blue Legend Rider Howler Rider he is a friend from home, and he is cool, but not as cool as me. I have made a shirt for another PKIC'er, but you will just have to wait and see who it is! LOL
  23. Wow Credit to UncleHenry for that one...thats funny, its all in good fun! it looks like Jay leno in a way you mocking me now!?
