I know that 12:30pm is late for getting up, but I've done it some times. The lasted I've gotten up was 1:30pm, from getting up and riding in the morning glory ride down town. Then getting home taking a shower, then going to bed. And getting up around 1:30pm or 1pm, then leaving for work at KI that day.

I like how the women on the channel 5 news said that it didn't hurt your back or neck, like some of there others coasters that do. And it was nice to see a POV of the ride to on there website. -

So were did you all find out about this ERT for DB? I can't find anything in the press release that says DB has ERT on opening day? -
Well from what channel 12 is saying, it will be in the upper 60's and 70's Saturday. So it will be madness.
-
I'm for some ERT on Beast, Racer, I will pass on SOB, Vortex. So does anybody really know whats happening on opening day, for if there is ERT for DB?
-
Im going to have to pass on opening day, if they had ERT for season pass holders that morning than I would go. I'll being going on the 24th which is a Friday, five till ten.

I like seeing Lake Erie upside down, along with Raptor!! -
Just saw your post, I was there that weekend. We should have picked a different weekend to go, it was warm both days we went, Friday and Sunday. So it was busy, I remember going back to Hotel Breaks and see the parking lot filling up to the toll booths. Could not believe the line for Maverick , It was so hot out Saturday, I even got sunburn out at Put-In-Bay. I do believe Millennium Force hits 4.5 G's at the bottom of the first hill. Nice trip report.

I will have to go with B&M as my favorite, when I rode Griffon two summers ago, I could not believe how smooth it was. And even going though both Immelmann's, the ride did not try to force my head left or right. And I've heard that they have a good track record of first test run's going smoothly. A close second would be Intamin.

That maybe the greatest video I've seen of Kings Island, thanks for sharing.

I would have to say I am excited about HW new PP, and I like how they spent the time and money to put up a real station. The station is built up were the out side looks like a house, along with that the Voyage station is like a house to. The Legend station looks like a 1700 or 1800 school house, to me it just seems like they put more time into theme there station's, unlike other parks were they just build theirs out of steel and concrete. I've been going to HW scene 2004, I don't think I've had a bad trip. Plus it nice that they still have tram service, free parking, free soft drinks, there water park is free to. And just like said above there three wooden coasters. The Voyage is by far my favorite wooden coaster, you just can't beat the 24 seconds of air time. The only down side is that the park is a three our drive, but its worth it!!!! Plus last year they added Clocks around the park, unlike other parks were that's not allowed, were guest are not sup post to know what time it is.

how many trips to kings island will you take this year?
TopThrill replied to Mr. Coastermania's topic in Kings Island
Last year I went 15 times, this year might break 20 or more. With the free parking with our gold pass, we saved 150 dollars. -
I would say Montu, Kumba, there might be a few others but can't remember. Oh and next year Ring Racer at Nurburgring.
-
For me it would be Top Thrill Dragster, I was excited and pumped(back in '03 in July). But when I saw it up and close the Intimidation factor came into effect. I went though with it, and I lost all the fear. Second would have to be Griffon, it looks bigger in person than it does in the pictures.

Try to get there early that morning, and be among the ERT with my Platinum pass. Then getting off and seeing the huge line, take pictures of the line, then go on to Beast. Then after beast, head back to DB then take a few more pictures of the huge line.

Like what the others sayed about Raptor, even when the hole queue is full. The wait was no more than 50 mins to a hour. But Raptor's seats are in a row across, while Diamondback seats are per car two seats side by side in front, then two seats apart behind them. I could be wrong but I would prefer the seats to be in a row, like Raging Bull or Apollo's Chariot. When I was there in 2006 at SFGA, I only waited 20 min's for Raging Bull on a busy day. Along with Apollo's Chariot, busy day max wait was 20 to 25 mins.
-
Yeah Millennium Force, Maverick, Raptor, Skyhawk, Iron Dragon, and Planet Snoopy. When I was there in May Maverick wasn't running for two full days, so the second day they opened Top Thrill Dragster early along with Power Tower. I got a 15 min wait for the front seat on TTD in the morning during the ERT, that was a real wake up call. They were only loading six people per train, so after we got off the line was over an hour long. lol
-
I to hope the early ride time is a full hour, not a half an hour.
-
So KI Platinum Pass holders will be the first to ride, along with Gold Pass holders, on Diamondback?
-
Yeah. They had the third train off to the side. I also forgot to mention that at one point while I was in line for TTD toward the end of the night, they started playing the Maverick music in the queue. It was hilarious, everyone was like what the heck? I bet that was hilarious lol.
