On Sunday, we were in line for BackLot, and the group ahead of us were talking about launch coaster. And said something about if you went 0-60 it would snap your neck lol. I thought that was funny.
-
I know what you mean about that, I always get a sad feeling during the last hours at Cedar Point on the last day of a trip. You just wish that you could come back the next day. Oh and Gigacoaster2k, was Magnum running only two trains?
-
I guess we did, I was riding in seat 4-2. That last ride was great, but sad when pulling into station, then it hit me it was over. I was wearing a brown Maverick jacket.
-
Nice trip report, sounded like a light crowd day. I don't like it ether with TTD, when It opens up at 9am there only loading four to six, and so that short line quickly turns into a long one. I always dread the point of time to leave, thats always sad .

Our day started out with buying our renewing our season pass, and upgrading it to Platinum, we saved 20 dollars. We go in and wait no more than five minutes, and the gold and platinum pass like the same. Going through the metal detectors, my Cannon PowerShot camera doesn't ever set it off, but my Canon Elura 100 does lol. We enter the park at around 11:30am, and go straight to Action Zone. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, warm and sunny. Delirium, one cycle wait, seat 34. 10/10 Drop Tower, one cycle wait, seat 8. The view is always breathtaking, and great. 10/10 Flight Deck, walk-on back seat. Rode twice. 9/10 Son of Beast, two cycle wait for front seat. It just feel's better in front. 8/10 Invertigo, walk-on 8/10 It was 12:37, and making our way to Oktoberfest. And still perfect weather, with light crowds. Adventure Express, one cycle wait for front seat. 8/10 Next making our way to Coney Mall. Racer, walk-on 4-2. Its always smoother seating in the middle of the car. 10/10 Flight of Fear, walk-on 6-2. Last Sunday in that same seat it was really smooth, this time kind'a rough. 7/10 Vortex, walk-on 4-2. I used to like it, but now it just hurts. 5/10 It was coming up on 1:40. BackLot Coaster, 10 min wait 1-2. 8/10 Beast, walk-on 3-2. Just like The Racer, middle seat's are always smooth. 10/10 Train, 2-7. 10/10 The time was coming up on three o'clock, so we walked though Nick U and across I-Street to Festhaus I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a large Coke, my Dad had the same. It came out to be 27 dollars, the burger was ok, but the fries were horrible, cold and soft. Next we rode the Viking ship, which haven't ridden it the whole summer. 9/10 Then we went up in the Eiffel Tower, you could see out to the north hot air balloons in the air. It was starting to get a bit chilly so we left the park to our van and grabbed our light jackets. The sun was going down, so I left my camera and camcorder in the van. When we got back in the park we went straight to Drop Tower, with a one cycle wait. (These would be our last rides of the night ) Then we rode Flight Deck, again in the back seat with no wait. We went to Racer, walk-on and rode twice . Next was Firehawk, first ride was a ten minute wait for 6-2. There was no line and both stations open, so we got back in line, it turned out to be a two cycle wait for back row. Then after the second ride we got back in line, the line was in the station this time. But they closed off the one side and were only running one train, the red train sat in the other station while the ride ops cleaned it, which didn't make seance why only be running one train, while the other gets rubbed down and cleaned. From that the line liked like it went back to 10 to 15 mins. But we got front seat in three cycles. It made it even better with the sun gone down and you could see the stars, front seat turned out to be awesome!! but my leg cramped up going into the helix 10/10 So three rides on Firehawk in 30 mins. The on to BackLot 5 min wait, 7/10 Then it was on to The Beast, we rode three times in a row with out getting up. I do think we (train #2) 3rd to last train of the season. 10/10 -------- Delirium - 2 Drop Tower - 2 Flight Deck - 2 Son of Beast - 1 Invertigo - 1 Adventure Express - 1 Racer - 3 Flight of Fear - 1 Vortex - 1 Back Lot Coaster - 2 Beast - 4 Train - 1 Viking Fury -1 Eiffel Tower - 1 23 rides I'll post pictures later Thanks for reading

We started our day off by getting to the park around 1:25pm, and going over to Action Zone. From going on Friday nights and seeing it pack, then seeing the crowds today was good to see. We went over to Delirium with a one cycle wait, I still like the feeling it gives, from how smooth it is. Next was Drop Tower, it was a walk-on. Going up and seeing the parking lot being really light, and seeing the area is always breathtaking, the drop is always fun to . Then it was on to Invertigo, which again was a one cycle wait. After that we walked over to Flight Deck for a one cycle front seat, the cool air made my eyes water up, even with my sunglasses on, so I had to keep my eye's closed part way. Then we got on Son of Beast, it was a one cycle wait for the front seat. It was pretty much smooth, except at the bottom of the double helix. I noticed the Ice cream in the machine next to the restroom was four dollars for everything thing, I think that's way to much for something that's gone in two to three minutes. It was 2:26pm. Then we walked though Oktoberfest, and got on Adventure Express, with again no wait for front seat. Then it was on to Racer red, it was really smooth in 3-2. I wanted to ride Flight of Fear, during the summer the line was always spilling out the building, there was a one cycle wait. I still like it, just towards the back. We go over to Firehawk and get in line, well there was only one train running. It was a straight line back to the turn styles, I didn't think it was worth waiting, no telling how long it would have took to get on. So back on to Flight of Fear, we sat towards the front, which was a bit for rougher, it was 3:07 by now. We left and headed for Vortex, again one cycle wait with three trains, they were stacking them before we got in line and after we left. It was on to BackLot, now on one of the Friday nights we were there, they had somebody telling you what row to go to, when there was no line. But when there is a line, there's nobody doing this so the station fills up. We waited for 1-2, a ten minute wait, now it was 3:42. I started to take pictures of the construction area, and comparing them to pictures I took back in Aug. Then we went to The Beast, again a walk-on, now I thought they had replaced the round wheels with egg shaped wheels. That's what it felt really felt like, we were sitting in 2-2. We thought it was just the train (train three) so we rode again in train two in 2-2, which was much better. To me the helix some times is smoother the rest of the ride. It was 4:17 now. We got on the train for a spin, I thought they were doing that pumpkin thing but no. Then we walked thought RiverTown, and Nick U, to the Eiffel Tower. I tried to take a panoramic shot of the area, I'll post it later when its all done. And I took more pictures of Diamondback, to compare with pictures I took back in Aug. I was starting to get tired, but we went back to Action Zone to ride Delirium and Drop Tower one more time before leaving. We left at 5:46. I'll post my pictures later. Ride Count, Delirium - 2 Drop Tower - 2 Invertigo -1 Son of Beast -1 Flight Deck -1 Flight of Fear -2 Adventure Express -1 Racer Red -1 Vortex -1 BackLot -1 Beast -2 MVRR -1 Eiffel Tower -1 Thanks for reading.

One of the days last year, think it was Toyota day. Well the hours were from 10am till 9pm, and most of the people thought the park closed at 10, and so it felt like a 10 close getting out at 11pm.
-
Yeah nice trip report, so it seems like you a your dad had a good time. The back seat of MF deliver's the most G's, but I like the middle, it gives you more of a floating feeling going over the hills. My last trip there in May we got on it 19 times in three days.

I'm not going Saturday, just Friday night and Sunday.

Holiday to add something big....
TopThrill replied to a topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
It looks neat, and I will ride that next year!! Just hope there's no major break downs, like the other Intamin AG prototypes. -
It may look like that but, I was there last year at this time the last week in Aug. Lines were around 45 mins to an hour the for the major rides, staffing to me seemed low, ie Magnum's station would be filled up, Dragsters station no one blocking it off, or controlling it. That's way I'm waiting till Oct.

Yeah I don't know what they were thinking, in that last picture. The back seat is ok but, It still try's to give me a whiplash feeling. It would help if the park would install head extenders, other Arrow coasters have them. Tennessee Tornado has them, that makes the ride enjoyable.
-
I know what you mean about feeling pinned, Vortex does that to me. Were my hole body in pinned down, but my head is flopping back and forth like a piece of meat.
-
Yeah I do have to agree, with the transitions being a bit rough. I do think for me it makes it worse being 6'1", and having big shoulders doesn't help ether.

I was at the park to and snapped some pictures, from the Tower -
Will that's nice to see, were getting a ride that doesn't bet you to death. Those hill's will provide lots of airtime, along with the water element at the end, like the B&M's dive coasters. You can almost tell the opening day for this will be busy. The flaming skull, looks family friendly to.

So does anyone know were this video might could be found? I know I found it on YouTube, months ago. Just didn't add it to my playlist.

How many times did you visit Kings Island in 2007?
TopThrill replied to italianchef's topic in KI Polls
I would say, manly after work I rode around eight times. Then coming up on off days, around three. -
Wow it is hard to believe the seasons over. I ended the night with getting off work early, and riding with friends. After they left, I stayed on The Beast two times. The last was in the front seat, truly amazing!
