Six Flags: A Ripoff
TopThrill replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yeah I do agree that SixFlags charges alot to for Food, and Admission's. I've only been to three of there parks, Kentucky Kingdom, Great America, and St. Louis. Out of the three only really liked Great America, the park was nicely staffed in most areas. Put they do charge to much for food, and Admission's. -
From what I've seen last year, Fridays are much better to go. Lines and crowds are lower.

Got a question, now that SOB doesn't have the loop. The tracks been alterd. On a coaster count list, can SOB be counted two times?
-
Congo better stay, its a easy way to cool off. Ether riding it or standing up on the bridge.

STRICKERS GROVE TODAY the 22nd of July 2007
TopThrill replied to westcoaster's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Nice report, I haven't been there sence my dad's company stopped having picnic's there. But yeah the food was always great, when I was younger I was kind'a afrad of the Tornado. I did ride there flying eagles, every nice. -
Yes I agree with posts before me, SOB is much better. Everything about it is better, other than the double helix its still a beat fest. The trains give more leg room for tall people, SOB is back in a new style.
-
Yeah I would have to say Racer, Vortex are by far the worsed crews. Vortex was a people eater, untell they started stacking. Now on racer, I've nerver seen any kind of that stuff the ones before posted about. But they are slow and most times take way to much time. Good crews to me are, Beast, Firehawk, and Face/Off. The times Im in line for Face/Off it is almost like every min in a half to two mins from unload, load and ready. When The Beast has four on platform, no joke its a people eater.
-
When I rode it, the middle fourth car was ok. The back is horrable in the double helix, but there is more air time there. It had a nice line in the station, with a little on the ramp.

Bush Gardens Europe or Kings Dominion.

I visited BGE last month, and yeah hands down. The park is just beautiful, they only got five coasters but there all good. There food is just outstanding, there Festhaus looks better than ours plus there's a show in there. I haven't been to KD so can't say much about it. Griffon is a monster, but its so smooth. -
SOB was open on wednesday it did run, I rode it two times.
-
My friend last Wednesday, forced me to go back on SOB with her. And my opinion on SOB, it's much better this year, still sad about the loop. The next chance I get Im riding it again, hopefully it'll be back opened up this Wednesday.

Nice pictures, along with your trip report. I know some day's they give Vault away in hand full's. LOL

So today after work, me my friend Kristi rode some rides. We got into the park around 3:35 and headed for Action Zone. We rode Face/Off first, only about a 14 min wait. It does have some smoothness to it still, every fun. Then we rode Delirium, only a 2 cycle wait it still is a nice ride. After that we wanted to try Son of Beast, she had never been on it so it was a first. I was kind'a woundering about the roughness from last year, we got to the station and just picked a seat with no wait. The lift is some what louder then last year, coming off the lift and going down the first drop was great. The 3rd hill at the top was much smooth, but the helix isn't perfect still has rough issiues. It was weird not going throw the loop, the bunny hill was nice and smooth. Second helix is much better, but you still come flying into the breaks before the station. I think SOB is worth riding, She liked it. And yeah the new train's give more leg room, so for tall people it nice. Next we rode Racer forward, in the front seat. It still have the air time thats good. Next was Firehawk, again this was a first for her. We only waited 21 mins, for the sixth row. Firehawk pulles some huge G's that are fun. She like that, when we flow into the break's she was like "WOW". Vortex we hitted up next, it was sort of rough in the middle. Beast we rode, its still a good woodie. We got back on SOB for the second time, we sat in the back. Which was a mistake, yeah you got more air time but its just to rough in the double helix. So all in all, a nice way to end the day. (Drop Zone for me is the perfect way to end the day!) Son of Beast is worth trying out, it isn't perfect but its better than last year. We left at seven o'clock. Ride count, Face/Off - 1 Delirium - 1 Son of Beast - 2 Racer - 1 Firehawk - 1 Beast - 1

Special Announcement from KICentral coming soon!
TopThrill replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Bring The Bat back, as a B&M Inverted. -
Mine are Firehawk and DropZone, along with Scooby-Doo
-
Nice report, it was kind'a hot today. It sounds like you ate in the Festhouse, it has the Panda Express thing in it.
-
The lines were really short. I think that the front seat is the best on Firehawk since you can see everything. How did she like it? She loved it, and so did I. Yeah the wait was around 45 mins for us, I told her about riding in the SuperMan position. We both did, Firehawk is now my Favorite coaster in the park. Drop Zone is my favorite flat ride. We also got on Delirium, about a three spin cycle wait. Yesterday I rode Drop Zone four times in a row, from the line being so small.
-
Hay I was there to today, got off work around 3:20 meet up with my friend Julie and rode some. The lines were short today big time, she hadn't been on Firehawk so we rode that first and in the front seat.

CP Loose Article Policy
TopThrill replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
When I go up there, I just bring my Cannon PowerShot A540 along with a Cannon Elura 100 camroder. And I bring a fanny pack to put those things in, don't have any problems with them. Just like what was said above MF and TTD doesn't allow any loose article, from the split load and unload platform's. -
