The famous shot of Mantis looking like a bird of prey. The line to purchase a ticket that day, luckily I had a gold pass. I have more but these are my favorites. Thank you KI, for the greatest season ever.

I think the rides page on this site and the calendar and other things do need to be updated, but look at it this way. The mods go to great lengths to help our forums be the best they can poissibly be, they take their own time out of their own day to keep this site up and running for us the community. For that I thank you mods.

That is something I have always wished Kings Island would do, put up POV videos of all of their coasters. I have always loved Cedar Point's videos and even have the DVD entitles, The Roller Coasters of Cedar Point which gives a brief history of Cedar Point and then shows all of the their coasters POV. Maybe in the future we will see Kings Island do this. Very nice quality to I might add.

To me, that isn't the way to incentivise investors or visitors, who are not as naive as Cedar Fair HQ would like to think - the general public DOES realize Scooby is leaving, The Crypt is falling apart, Son of Beast is in shambles, Flight Deck is gray and light gray (with accents of dark gray), and Adventure Express is a severely saddened version of its former self. You can't simply brush these aspects of the park under the rug, when four rides that are less than ten years old are on the chopping block or already gone (Scooby Doo, The Crypt, Son of Beast), while even newer rides are severely neglected (Italian Job, Adventure Express, Flight Deck). Just my thoughts. Since when are Adventure Express and Flight Deck newer than The Crypt and even Son of Beast. Adventure Express being opened on April 13th 1991 and Flight Deck (Then known as Top Gun) being opened on April 9th 1993. I think you got your post a little backwards.

I also love seeing the faces and the reactions of people that ride Drop Tower for the first time. The ride up is priceless because I enjoy just talking and talking and then I hear the eventual, "Shutup!" I am like what are you scared or something? Then after they get off they immediately want to do it again.

On the subject of rides in a downpour, Diamondback is not that comfortable either.

I went with my little cousin, who is 7, my aunt, and my mom this year, I think it was the Monday before the 4th of July. My aunt rode with her daughter in Nick U and my mom does not ride rides so I was stuck by myself. I never left Nick U/Diamondback area except for to go eat in The Festhaus and ride The Beast. It was ok by myself, but it was packed and hot, so it would have been more fun to have someone there with me. I think I could go up to KI by myself one day and have a ball, when I am at KI, nothing else matters.

I would actually like to see this as I found a new fond love for Adventure Express this year. It is actually a very fun little coaster, deserving of a 5? No, maybe a 4, on the fun factor though, it is very high up on the scale.

I love the feeling of waking up in the morning and realizing that I am going to KI today. I also love the first time I ever see Cincy from the Interstate because then I know, we are pretty close, then comes Kings Auto Mill, then the Warren County Watertower, then Drop Tower and the rest of the park. I love being there with friends and family and I love riding the rides as well. I am a big Coaster Enthusiast so I love all the array of KI's coasters. For the most part though, the atmosphere is what I love the most. KI is a place where amazing happens, plain and simple.

I would personally love to be there to see and hear that. I will give you a nickel's worth of free advice, it is really fun. Once you ride it all you will want to do is go on it again and again. Well I will ride it with you I love Skyflier I will even let you pull the cord if you wanted to. Someone else better pull the cord, or else we'll be up there all day. I'm not going to willingly plummet to my doom. Someone will have to do that for me. Unless you are taller than 6'3", you are gonna have to pull the cord. They always put the tallest one in the middle.

The only theming I can really notice is the guy with a spear stuck through him. That is mainly because I know where to look for it, if you are riding it for the first time and have no idea where to look then I think you would be more or less clueless as to what is going on.

Adventure Express was at it's worst theming about 2 or 3 years ago. I remember riding it with the music not even going half the time and then the Tiki men were hardly ever going. In fact, you could have considered yourself lucky to have a ride with the tunnel at the end operating. I have been stopped in that tunnel on the lift before, as the ride was having mechanical troubles at the time.

Well let's see here, I am working at Kohl's here in Richmond now, I play a lot of Video Games (X-Box Live), I watch a a lot of movies with my Netflix membership, spend time with my girlfriend, study for College, and I also love to watch Sports. Spend most of my time wishing I was up there.....

Yes, finally a thread where I can complain about Haunt and be a pain in the rear. MY least favorite maze was probably Corntstalkers. We went on Friday October 30th and that being the night before Halloween I thought the park would have been scarier than ever. Wrong, there was hardly any fog, no ScareActors were out roaming around, you could see the midway wherever you walked. Cornstalkers was awful, walking through not one person scared us, there was only 5 people working the whole maze I think, and the path was not very foggy at all. I think more could have been done with this maze, I think it could have been a very well done maze as well.

If they had a series of ornaments I would buy them, depending on the cost of course. I think they would be very nice to have all over my little 3 foot Christmas tree in my room.

I haven't noticed that, however I have noticed something else. If you stand under the first drop you can hear the B&M roar then you hear like a meatl clicking sound like metal on metal. When you ride you can also hear it, it sounds like a couple of metal bars just like clinking on the track.

I give us an above average rating. We have some coasters that are above the ordinary such as Diamondback, The Beast, and Firehawk. We also have a Hyper-Woodie, how many other parks can say that. The collection is also very spread out in terms of types of coasters. LIM Launch, Inverted face to face shuttle, flying coaster, B&M Hyper, and a 6 inversion Arrow just to name a few. I'd give us a over average.

Voyage to get new trains for 2010
Jasper replied to csikoth's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
These trains do look very unique but for a wooden coaster? These look like something that would be on Dodonpa or Hypersonic. I am anxious to see how these make the reviews of the coaster change. I never got to ride the coaster with the old trains as I have never been to Holiday World, I am also anxious to read the reviews of fellow KIC'ers next year. -
Farts! Double Farts! I guess I will have to have me a piece of that good ole Flintsone Boulder Bumpers pie. Jimmy Neutron's Atom Smashers, whatever you may call it.

"We've enjoyed our visit to your little planet, now, it's time for you to visit, ours." That's the only one I know that comes to my mind right now, I know there are others though.

I for one do not think the ride would be there either, but for the sake of fun I'll go along. I believe that they would have called it something along the lines of Star Trek, due to being Paramount and not having any attractions themed after that Movie/Show in the park.

Looks like the same benefits from last year almost. I do think however that instead of having ERT on Beast and Diamondback every day, do what Cedar Point does. Change up the rides you get ERT on. Still leave Diamondback in there every day for obvious reasons, but then add some different rides in on different days of the week. For instance, Monday would be Beast, Tuesday Vortex, Wednesday Firehawk, Thursday Flight of Fear, and Friday make it Invertigo. Something along those lines.

No coasters really, "Scare", me anymore. If I had to pick on though I would have to say Top Thrill Dragster is the most intense. It's not that scary, it's just the first launch is so intense and full of excitement. Not to mention the spiral downward from 420 feet in the air.
