That cadaver is actually supposed to rise up and shoot water out of its neck/mouth stump, as the girl's head has been severed at the mouth. Unfortunately, it broke like, a day before it actually opened, so that's why the hot nurse chick's taking bites out of the cadaver's stomach. .....plus, the dead chick's wearing undergarments, okay?

Oh, the support failure and hills with no airtime sections are just classic.

Either that, or another one of those stupid "Test Drive Your (insert car dealer here)" Events like they did almost a week earlier.
-
Now I can understand why there was no one in the queues for AE almost every time I've gotten on it; it's because of those darn good supervisors and associates loading trains up like hotcakes every 15-20 seconds.

Those cool Crew of Excellence Flag award thingies were a great way to prove that Ecology was one of the best departments in the park in terms of maintaining a clean park. Last year (2006), we got seven Flags of Excellence Crew Awards and had the general managers of Cedar Fair tell us we were the best Eco team out of ALL of the parks they own. This year, we got two. Even after no incentives, no meal tickets, even after busting our butts during the Haunt with crowds doubling every weekend, we still kicked more ass than any other CF park. And no thanks whatsoever from upper management. Just a "we think you could be doing better" mindset. .....this coming from the owners of a "flagship" park that, as many times as my friends and I have gone to, can't empty one single trash can or clean one single toilet or sink.

Question about TimberWolf: Do you think it would be possible to have a Fearzone-type attraction on the TimberWolf walkway in October? I was just asking because, in terms of Halloween festivities, Club Blood is the only attraction in Action Zone, and even with Face Off and Drop Zone open, there's almost NO traffic over in those directions (at least during the Haunt). Also, since the T-Wolf walkway is wide enough to hold two one-way streets, and the fact that it's not a major pathway for Guest Flow like the Floral Clock/Swan Lake path, a fearzone like worksite can easily fit inside T-Wolf and be setup to where you don't have to wait in line to go walk a straight line. Plus, it could easily make a perfect second Haunt attraction for Action Zone (worksite). At least I think so.

....so explain to me why Cedar Point needs more children's rides? CP already has at least one of every kiddie ride that Geauga Lake has (save for the Foam Factory and Larger Than Life playgrounds). Not to mention they've got, like, seven versions of Go Diego Go at the Point (the spinny, roundabout thingy).

I love when they don't bother to mention the details until the very last minute.

You'd be surprised how many people still don't know SOB doesn't have a loop anymore. Let alone Paramount doesn't own the parks anymore. Oh, and that King Cobra's gone.

Don't remind me, Interp. I've had several parents shove me out of the way whenever it seemed I was making a beeline for their kids. That's when I 'pick on someone my own size' and go for the parents.

If the child/parent is putting up a fuss at the front gate, bring a monster up to said family and watch their reaction. If they start bawling their eyes out, then yes, the park has the right to deny/limit access/admission to that particular child/parent/family. If nothing happens, or the child begins to giggle or laugh as he hides behind Mom's legs, then they can enter without repercussion.

How about: DING, Fries are done! DING, Fries are done! DING, Fries are done! DING, Fries are done! Sorry, I just had to do that.

This explains why we're just now learning about this in November if ACErs started this rumor. .....it's a dumb joke, I know.

Yeah, that picture from FlyerAddicts is from this year 'cause of the Kings Island sign advertising the Haunt. Look very closely at the illuminated sign and you can make out the H and the T.

I would imagine so as that, for all I can figure, they found an ingenious way to get rid of the Tomb Raider statue. At least I thought it was funny.

From Screamscape: Cedar Point Cedar Fair confirmed the addition of several new family friendly attractions in a new children’s area that will replace the Peanut’s Playground featuring seven new rides in addition to a family lounge area with quiet spots for feeding, resting and changing. They declined to name it, but Screamscape sources have named the area “Planet Snoopy” and tell us that several of the “new” rides will come from Geauga Lake including the Convoy and Train (replacing the old Train). From what we’ve been told the only thing currently there that is expected to remain is waterfall and school house. We’ve also heard a rumor that Cedar Fair may slightly reduce staffing at a few of their coasters in order to staff this new area, cutting a position or two from Millennium Force, Dragster, Wicked Twister and Mantis. Apparently they were testing these staffing changes at select times during Halloweekends and found the impact to ride capacity to either be minor or acceptable loss. Cedar Point also confirmed that the Sandcastle hotel will renovate it’s interior over the off-season. Plus, also from Screamscape: Michigan's Adventure Screamscape has heard to keep our eyes peeled for pieces of Geauga Lake’s Time Warp (Chance Inverter) to show up after they’ve done shipping in Thunderhawk. Time Warp could be added to the midway area in 2009. Looks like no new flat rides for us next year.

Geauga Lake, of course.

Why is it that the recaR has consistantly shorter lines? Or less people in the trains? Are you kidding? Every single time I've ridden The Racer, recaR has either a line out of the main station or a two-to-three train wait inside the station.

No, everything is from Curse of the Crypt and not TR. Trust me. I worked it in 2004, so I know every single prop in that attraction like the back of my hand: - The skull hand next to Red Beard's Revenge is from COTC; it was in my room as part of an altar scene with a giant snake curled up around the fingers. - Every coffin in Rivertown is from COTC (at least the wooden ones). - The little mummy scene behind the Paramount Story waterfall is from COTC. - In the Shipwreck Diner scene on the Bandstand, the weird-looking vampire in the back is from COTC. - The crawl-through tunnel in Trail of Terror was originally in COTC. - The snake charmer in CarnEVIL stole that giant snake from me in COTC. - As said earlier, the only thing from TR:TR is the Land Rover that is 'parked' inside Action Zone.

Easily the best night of Haunt was Halloween Night, when EVERY SINGLE MONSTER was part of the Wall of Monsters. This included every one of the mazes as well as the creepers/roamers that are normally there every Friday. Not to mention DEATH. ROW. The best maze crew of the whole event was there front and center with us creepers/roamers, that had been doing the Wall since Day One, and the rest of the monsters from Blood, Manor, Tombstone, Red Beard's, CarnEVIL, and Trail not far behind us. Funny that almost a majority of the maze monsters had no clue what to do when the gates started to come up. Except run. Right at the guests. Who were hiding behind the metal detectors. Who weren't safe there because a few monsters managed to get past the detectors and out to the ticket booths/old tram circle to scare the guests. Oh that was fun. That, and management getting film footage of seven monsters torturing one girl (that wasn't Karen, how weird is that?), getting 'all up in her grill' and stuff like that.

I also looked at the GLToday website and noticed both the Gotcha Games Foam Factory and the Larger Than Life kid attractions. They would work extremely well in NU for the littlest ones and those with hyperactive imaginations.

Like, next year, maybe?

For those that think Holiday Horror was somehow 'offensive' to people and 'degrading' to the little ones (that shouldn't even be there to begin with), then take a look at Universal's take on a Christmas-themed haunted house entitled Psychoscareapy: Home for the Holidays: ^Video preview of maze from official Halloween Horror Nights website. http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/holiday.html ^Neat interactive preview of backstory for the attraction from the official website. Basically, en route from Shadybrook Mental Asylum a hospital van overturns and crashes into a house in the middle of a quaint little neighborhood called Shadybrook. Of course, some of the deadliest and most insane criminals known to man were in the van, and are now on the loose in the neighborhood, turning this once Silent Night into a Psychotic Night for several residents. ....so, um, yeah, the people here that keep complaining about OUR Haunt being too mature or making 'distasteful' jokes clearly haven't been to or researched what Knott's Berry Farm or Universal Studios has done with their Halloween events. Particularly when it comes to making fun of celebrities, as shown through the cult shows like Knott's The Hanging and Uni's Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure.
