Four teens getting off Beast while talking to those about to board: "Bro, don't ride this. It goes upside down." "Yeah. 18 bolts fell out.*" *82,480 bolts and washers make up the ride. I don't think losing 18 is going to do anything...

Kings Island to add “family thrill” attraction in 2026
I...am SteVe replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I think we might get that indoor family launcher they've been teasing via surveys in the TRTR building, or they're just replacing Cavern of Terror with a new maze. -
GPs in line for FOF strike back! Group of four, waiting for rows 2 and 3... "This ride goes upside down." "No, it can't." "Why? How'd you know?" "The lapbars. Rides with lapbars can't invert..."

I think MA has great potential, but isn't a good park. If they smooth out Shivering Timbers, replace Thunderhawk, and start selling food that doesn't taste like it came from a public school cafeteria, they could easily be a huge draw. They probably did this to force people who only visit MA to hit up CP, and then go "Wow. That was so much better than my home park. What other parks can I visit?" and head to other chain parks.

Delirium - Why wasn't this ride Paramount Movie Themed?
I...am SteVe replied to TOPGUN1993's topic in Kings Island
I think it was just because there wasn't a Paramount property that made sense for the theme. I could be wrong, though. Delirium is the perfect name for the ride, however -
Two teenagers in the outdoor part of the FOF queue: "Is this a new ride?" Same people, in the hangar this time: "Is that a real alien?"

Talking about KI outside of the park: "You know The Racer, right?" "Yep. It was relocated from LeSourdville Lake. I rode it there!"

How about a Coke Freestyle stand that isn't always closed or crowded? On a more serious note, I'd like to see a sit-down dining location in Area 72, if they have room for it. They could call it the Mission Control Café and have pictures of all their old 'flight tests' on the wall, and it would have a bunch of random sci-fi memorabilia decorating the walls. Toward the back, it would have a small NASA-esque control room with screens showing the current position of the Orion test vehicle. I don't know what it would serve, though...

Four teenage girls, sitting in row 8, were about to be dispatched on Banshee. They had waited for about 15 minutes in line, and then, right before the drive tires powered on, they asked one of the restraint-checkers... "Does this ride go upside down?" The response was even more funny: "Yeah, 8 times, in fact!"

In line for Beast: "This is probably their giga coaster. I can tell!" A few moments later... "Is this the ride that goes straight down into a tunnel?"

Random guy at Victoria's Pizza at KD after a sudden dinner rush on the 4th: "Hey guys, there's no ice or Coke at any of these fountains, just so you know. I can't believe they let that happen!"

Why Thunderbird Soars Over Rapterra
I...am SteVe replied to DonHelbig's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I haven't been out to HW, but I did ride Rapterra. I don't know what it is about it, but something is off about the way it traverses the track. It isn't rough like old-gen B&Ms, but something feels wrong. It's a great ride, though. -
This is my favorite thing I've ever heard at the park. There was a group of young boys in line for DB. They were all just chilling in the lower switchbacks, but then one of them pointed to the lift hill, and proudly proclaimed... "See that hill? That's 80 feet tall." He then proceeded to tell his buddies that Mystic was 20 feet tall...

I agree about the parking lot staff; I purposely delayed leaving KD on the fourth to dodge the rush to leave after the fireworks, and I still waited an hour and a half to get out of the parking lot. With a couple of employees helping out, that time could easily be slashed.

Sitting on the brake run of Twisted Timbers: "...that was insanely rough." "Yeah. That really beat me up!"

Kings Island General Discussion 2025
I...am SteVe replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
I was at KD just last week, and I saw this exact sign on the wall of a shop in Candy Apple Grove by WindSeeker. Also, their Backlot is now 'presented by Skittles.' This all started with small ads on the video signs that were added last year, and now it has expanded to full ride sponsorships and billboards. I am happy, however, that it seems that only one ride at each park is getting a corporate partner. At least this isn't legacy SF where nearly every single ride is 'presented by [insert candy name here].'
