I assure you, that's 1000% NOT true. So this was a last minute decision that noone at the park knew until Jeff made it public? And that Maureen was not in "training" to replace Jeff? Not trying to argue, but that is how I was taking it and when I started seeing her on the news and not Jeff, I was thinking to myself, "where is Jeff?" or "is Maureen taking his place or are they partners?" But if you are soo certain it is not true, then I will let it be.

I had the hint that Maureen was taking Jeff's place b/c she has been doing a lot more promoting and I've been hearing more of her and less of Jeff. Should have picked up on the hints

He's leaving us for them? I do wish him the best of luck, but at the same time, I feel kinda hurt. Know what I mean?

I drove by PKI last night and they had the Christmas Tree Lights on the Eiffel Tower on including the stars at the very top. And let me say it looks fantastic! I cant wait to get there and check it out in person.

PKI has a fantastic warning system in place. It'll be pointless and too expensive to get another system in place, esp if all it does is detect lighting. Dopler Radar (sorry if spelt wrong) does point out lighting AND if lighting is going to hit, it's going to be random and no one will be able to stop it. Let's just hope you are not in the spot where the lighting hits.

True, lighting does not alway hit the tower, Vortex, or dropzone, or any other ride. My last year at PKI, I was inside FOF (my ride) and I called Zephyr to close down for the storm. 5 min later, they called me telling me they were coming in b/c lighting just hit the ground right in front up them (next to the exit if Zephyr and Games Building). That night, I walked out in that area and sure enough, I saw a black burnt spot where it looked like something hot used to be (my guess the lighting). But for the sake of arguement, KI does have a fantastic weather system. They have a weather doopler in communications and everyone is told about the storm about 30-1 hr before it is on top of PKI (or at least the associates know about it). If it gets bad enough, there are shelters for guests and associates to go to. FOF being under the load and unload station. To tell you the truth, I feel safer at PKI then I do at home about the weather b/c I know way in advance of what is going on. (Except when I worked Tiques, our shelter was the maint. shed behind Dodgems. Nothing but pylwood to keep you safe )

Okay I live w/ my parents my entire life and they both are bad chain smokers. I mean, cig after cig. They've always been, even before i was around. I am now 22 and no signs of cancer or no signs of my dieing (i know its spelt wrong) anytime soon.

Yea, I never understood that either. There are trash cans EVERYWHERE. Pick one! And the ground does not count as a trashcan. For those you who do not know what a trashcan looks like, its big, round, might have a lid on it, has a liner, and you know its a trash can IF there are trash in it.

I myself never understood why they made it "no smoking" in an outdoor place. I hate smoking and I am around it everday, but it's much much worse in lines (since you are close up on each other) or in a building. But if you are just walking around the park, I see no problem with that until you blow it on in my face. Then we have a problem. Yes, when I worked at PKI, I made sure people were not smoking in lines. I also made sure they were not sitting on the handrails. My nickname used to be handrail nazi.
