  1. I believe the park is not open Sunday. I think it is only Friday and Saturday. Does anyone know if the shows like Flashback Totally 80s or The County Line will be performed on these bonus days?
  2. I was there as well. I watched the kid on the side more since the kid down front was blocked from my view. The kid knew a lot of the moves as well and was having a lot of fun.
  3. I was positive that they ate 13+ pounds. I was confused when I read in the paper and heard of tv that they only ate 11+ pounds. Thought I was going crazy for a little bit.
  4. Great trip report Avatar! But you forgot your role in Hot Island Rhythms. We would have taken a picture of you in the grass skirt and coconut bra, but our camera's battery died.
  5. On the two bonus days, will they still have the shows to watch? I tried to get my sister to see Flashback Totally 80's (an absolutely fun and amazing show) but she missed it because of the Brady shows. This had to be the greatest Labor Day ever at Kings Island. My brother and I did everything offered (except the Employee reunion because we were never employees). The Q&A with the volleyball players was awesome. It was fun to see Carmen Electra, and to see the Walk of Fame induction ceremony. I was surprised that this was her first time back to Kings Island. The Racer ride with the Bradys was so much fun. Thanks Don Helbig for giving us that amazing opportunity. My sister had so much fun watching the Brady shows. She got her Brady Bunch DVDs signed. I got the ride list that Mr. Helbig gave us signed. I asked Mike Lookinland what he thought of The Racer, and he said, "It is holding up well." Susan Olsen said, "I was scared." But she was joking. On Monday, I was surprised how empty the park was. Watching the eating competition was so much fun. The host was very funny and entertaining! I loved how Mr. Balboa was twirling his spaghetti with his fork Then we went to see Pete Rose and George Foster. That show was more fun than the Brady Bunch show! I was cracking up. They were hilarious!
  6. Was this the woman you saw? http://www.KICentral.com/photos/displayima...=239&pos=25
  7. We must have gone down to Myrtle Beach the same time you did. We got stuck in the traffic from that truck fire. We were probably stuck in that traffic for 3-4 hours. We found out that they didn't clean that up until 10 p.m. We encountered the traffic at around 11 a.m. Did you notice that right next to that huge cross is an adult bookstore? Gay Dolphin is one of my favorites places in all of Myrtle Beach!
  8. Here is the video from WCPO Channel 9 in Cincinnati: Brady Bunch video
  9. That is why, yesterday, I took pictures of Rivertown's midway to remember what it was like before Diamondback.
  10. Does anyone know where the Walk of Fame will be located? Edit: Sorry, I just found out that it will be located in the former Paramount Story area.
  11. I replied back to Don Helbig confirming that my brother and I would be there for the Bobby Look-a-like. But he didn't ask us for shirt sizes. What will "the guys" wear? We don't want to show up unprepared.
  12. That is the one I had no clue who it was. Thanks! Who originally wrote the song? Updated List: "Cotton Eye Joe" "Down Under" "Ghost Riders in the Sky" "I Want You to Want Me" Are we missing any?
  13. I e-mailed Don Helbig when I got home after KIC Day about my brother and I doing the Bobby look alike but haven't received an e-mail back.
  14. I was thinking they flattened that area so that one of the cranes would have a relatively flat surface to park and work on.
  15. Thanks Kawana! I enjoy listening to that song when arriving or leaving the Boomerang Bay station. It is very appropriate. So far we have: "Cotton Eye Joe" "Down Under" "I Want You to Want Me" Does anyone know the song between "Down Under" and "I Want You to Want Me?"
  16. I have just heard the song way too many times at Dayton Bombers games. Though watching people dance to it makes it a tad bit bearable. I figured out that the last song they play is Dwight Yoakam's cover of Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me."
  17. I was wondering if anyone knew the playlist for the Kings Island Railroad this season? I think the songs they picked this year were great, except for the "Cotton Eye Joe" song.
  18. Maybe after one of the Q&A sessions someone could take a picture of all the KIC event attendees together.
  19. We drove by around 11-11:30 in the morning and the parking lot was virtually empty. It is so sad because I love Myrtle Beach so much.
  20. I was just down in Myrtle Beach all of last week (I didn't go to Hard Rock Park). I agree that the location is horrible. Too many empty buildings between 501 and the park. Also, it is a little confusing how to get to it. They have plenty of advertising in Myrtle Beach, but very little outside of it.
  21. 8:45? You are lucky. Back when I was in high school we had to be there at 7:50. I got several detentions for just being a minute late. Enjoy high school though, you will have a great time!
  22. ^Nope
  23. I choked on a Gob Stopper when I was six years old. Had the Heimlich maneuver performed on me. So I will join the coalition.
  24. My brother and I will be there!
  25. I always considered that area (Family Kingdom area) of Myrtle Beach a little bit more dangerous than downtown. I usually feel pretty safe downtown. I will be down there the week of Aug 3-10.
