That's how the old paramount parks site looked before it redirected to Cedar Fair's site. For the past couple weeks, I've noticed the cedarfair.com redirect didn't work and goes to paramountparks.com instead. For instance, if you click "Other Parks" on the pki.com site, it usually takes you to cedarfair.com, but sometimes it randomly doesn't.

Coasterdad, I've seen your other posts on other forums. You are so anti-X-Flight it's not even funny. How about you let the guests think and decide for themselves. As for "actually making the trip to GL". I've never been, so I can't say for sure what the customer service is like...but if you'd read some posts on here, a lot of the members here have gone to Geauga Lake and they hated the service. It's too bad your first post had to be such a biased one. Not a good way to establish yourself. Not to mention, between you and mutedarkness...I don't think I need to go to GL to see that the employees and local guests are negative.

I was thinking that too...but then I got to thinking...why would they wait for KI's announcement to change over the whole chain's websites? edit: It looks like Paramount Parks was the one to register the .us names back in 2002. Though I wouldn't be surprised if CF would use the kingsisland.us domain, at least temporarily... | Registrant Name: Paramount Parks Inc. | Registrant Organization: Paramount Parks Inc. | Registrant Address1: Paramount Parks Inc. | Registrant Address2: 8720 Red Oak Blvd. | Domain Registration Date: Wed Apr 24 15:04:49 GMT 2002 | Domain Expiration Date: Mon Apr 23 23:59:59 GMT 2007

That's where the "stretch" came in. I'm sure they'll either buy (or force) the rights to kingsisland.com or they'll just keep pki.com
-
It's a stretch wayyyy out in the left field, but kings-island.net is available. Otherwise...money and/or litigation can fix stuff, as Interpreter has already said.
-
I'd say I love the new logo...but I can't really support an organization that doesn't support all types of lodging.
-
That, and weren't there rumors of them using the 3rd train for scrap parts for the other two? I mean, yeah..they could get another train. Just sayin'
-
Hopefully you're right, RailRider. Of course, I have faith in the KI ride-ops. They're well trained and VERY competent.
-
Don't start this again. You told nobody anything. We've been speculating X-Flight coming to KI since this past fall. Besides...you weren't even trying to tell us X-Flight was coming...you were trying to tell us it was getting named Firehawk.

Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!
Reclaimer replied to Gordon Bombay's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
edit: A little late on the joke But still, c'mon. They aren't going to be taking out two huge elements from the ride within a month's time. It's a fricken wooden coaster...taking out both helices would take longer than that,. -
You mean removing rides that really don't fit in with the park's strategy/footprint.
-
1) I'd HATE to see those forums. I can smell the drama and immaturity from here. 2) I don't really see hardly any people that are grumpy about getting a used ride. I'm sure many of us are happy to be getting a coaster at all. I know I am.

Phht...the new logos are back up on the flash animations (except KI's) KD also has their new logo in the media center. Of note is the flag is now only over the last "i" in the park's name, rather than all three "i"s. http://www3.paramountparks.com/KingsDominion/news/index.cfm http://www3.paramountparks.com/KingsDomini....cfm?item_id=66

Getting a little testy, aren't you? All Ronny is saying is that there's been nothing confirmed by the park. We KNOW there's been five people that have seen it...what remains to be seen is an official release from the park, which would then make it official. Until then, anything is game..however unlikely "anything" may be. You just need to hold your horses. (This post was directed to Elmer Fudd, not Mike)
-
That kinda sucks...I was hoping we could avoid the corporate logo thing.
-
Looks like we hit that 50-page goal! ..and here I thought it was going to take until at least Thursday
-
Well, if the announcement is Friday as we seem to be thinking right now...I wouldn't be surprised if we hit that goal.
-
Hey now...I beat ya to the punch. Just messin' around with ya.

http://www3.paramountparks.com/Carowinds/n....cfm?item_id=30 Sounds like it's a done deal? "New Carowinds Logo" And check out Great America's updated media center page http://www3.paramountparks.com/GreatAmerica/news/index.cfm

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=toc...ch=Submit+Query THERE. Let's see, we've got Maverick, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster...the list goes on and on. No Firehawk. Hmmmm.. Believe me. It'd be on there if they had it and were planning on calling it Firehawk. That's how people found out about Maverick MONTHS before the announcement. The Maverick trademark was filed for January 24, 2006. The announcement wasn't til September. Getting a trademark is a lengthy process. Open up one of CF's and you can see the many different steps it took to get that trademark. (I'm still trying to figure out what CF was doing trying to trademark MANSHQ.com It was registered under the class "Computer service, specifically on-line services providing news and information of interest to men, including lifestyle, women, outdoors, beer, cigars, education, relationships, gadgets, careers, finance, sports, heath and fitness; online e-mail; homepage; and on-line retail shopping service." Although that particular trademark is dead)
-
Not to mention the fact there is no trademark for "Firehawk" assigned to Cedar Fair.

Maverick Pullthrough

Here's the funcoast cam... http://www.funcoast.com/funcamhigh -
Because it's quicker for them to make up news. Screamscape also posted an article about how "Cedar Fair may be dropping the Paramount name" Uhhhh...seriously? I bet that's news to everyone. Lance even goes so far as to provide a nice picture for everyone to further prove his point. O RLY? New season pass images?? Nahhhh...Couldn't be!

Speaking of slips...apparently this news about X-Flight coming down has 'slipped by' Screamscape's "inside sources" <insert witty laugh here> http://www.screamscape.com/html/geauga_lake.htm According to Screamscape, as of today X-Flight is now coming down!!! Leave it to Screamscape!
