  1. Maureen said that's the plan as of now...but if the state says they need to change their policy to not allow it at all, they'll change the policy.
  2. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9206 It was the post right below this one. And they're at Worlds of Fun...still in the CF family.
  3. Yeah, at first I was kind of upset to see them at another park...but it's better that they're being used rather than sitting out in the elements without any use.
  4. I've got to say this is quite an intriguing topic and I look forward to more discussion.
  5. Woo-hoo!! My comment got posted! I guess I'll have to make sure I visit both parks this summer. *sigh* I just hope I can get away from my summer job to make it to the parks. Wait a sec....
  6. The CP Winter Soar blog entry has been posted. What a great entry! It was great seeing you all this past weekend. Looking forward to my first real visit to the park on April 22nd. See you there! http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/...29-fce0bd75834b
  7. This is a picture of the layout of the coaster in its former home: http://www.rcdb.com/ig920.htm?picture=12
  8. http://www3.cedarfair.com/KingsIsland/news...cfm?item_id=487 3 new photos. Primer? I hope.
  9. Something you may be interested in reading... http://x-entertainment.com/articles/0961/?1
  10. Come back when you have some credibility. k'thx
  11. Let's not also forget that the Coke machines had the Paramount logo/filmstrip style on them. They may be taking this opportunity to at least change that front panel. They have, what, a year and a half to totally remove the Paramount branding. Something simple like the Coke machines could easily and quickly be done over this off-season.
  12. THANK you Interpreter. There have been so many times I see people so sure it's going to be Coke for the next seven years simply because of that contract. Remember, that deal was signed between Paramount Parks and Coke. Like Interp said, we don't know the details of that contract.
  13. As a history lesson, here are a few of the previous iterations of the site (some without images, unfortunately) http://web.archive.org/web/20040413000637/...pkicentral.com/ http://web.archive.org/web/20040522160014/...pkicentral.com/ http://web.archive.org/web/20050101005350/...pkicentral.com/ http://web.archive.org/web/20060104053414/...pkicentral.com/ And for more, just click here http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.pkicentral.com
  14. With only four posts in the three years you've been registered, you really don't have a lot of pull here on the site to be nit-picking others. You say you're not trying to nit-pick but that's just what you've done. These guys work very, very hard to make this site run and bring everyone the content that we have. There is NO reason for you to come in here and post something that is not constructive in any way. Show some respect.
  15. The site's got to make money somehow. It takes money to keep a site going...especially when they have to upgrade servers. If the ads weren't necessary they wouldn't be there...but they are necessary, and thus, they are there.
  16. Woah! Big change...and I **LOVE** it! Fantastic work, guys. I'm glad to be a part of this new era in Kings Island and KIC history! Side note...KIC is one of the tabs that opens each time I start Firefox. Needless to say, it was a bit of a shock when I first saw the site. I was confused for a second.
  17. Um, not to be rude, but nothing has changed recently. ...unless I'm missing something totally obvious. Oh, and it's Firehawk.
  18. We'll probably never know for sure...that's confidential information that's been on everyone's minds since the sale of the parks was announced. I'd just like to know who the other party was that was really aggressive and would love to know just how aggressive they were. I know this is just beating a dead horse, but that's just one piece of info I'd love to have. heh
  19. While randomly surfing the web and procrastinating, I stumbled upon this site. It is of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, the firm that helped Cedar Fair acquire the parks. Don't think it's been posted before, but I could be wrong. http://www.ssd.com/services/casestudy_deta...casestudyid=102
  20. I don't know if I'd want to be running around with only a sparse amount of clothing on if that were the name.
  21. ...and they show it! So aged looking from being in the sun all year long, year after year.
  22. [emphasis supplied] Hmm, I could go either way on that one. I totally agree with what you've said, but I also remember Kings Island's page last year called it "Cincinnati's Largest Themed Amusement Park" or something like that...keywords being "themed amusement park". So even last year they weren't technically calling it a theme park.
  23. Totally agreed on that one, Thrill Biscuit! And going back to Interp's comment about the name change, I'll agree. It's great to see Cedar Fair taking a great interest in the park right off The Bat. Under Viacom, it didn't seem like you heard much coming out of BFG.
