Carowinds 2007 Brochure
Reclaimer replied to Reclaimer's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Opening day and July 4th (weekend?) -
I'd say give it time now. It looks like they're listening and learning...which is a good thing.
-
lol, I didn't intend to drag the thread off-topic. I was just saying...another kind of trademark issue that can, and will, probably be taken care of. If there's a will, there's a way.

I stayed at the HoJo at the end of the causeway. It's cheap, close to the park, and serves as a bed...that's about it. Nothing special. Wasn't nasty dirty, but wasn't a Hilton either. The railroad is close by, if not right behind it, as was already mentioned...but after a long day at the park, you'll be zonked out in no time.

Great report, Chef! All of these great reports keep coming in. I was wanting to go over spring break, but I just can't afford it. Kinda makes me sad.

Shman is a valued member of this site and always comes through with great info. I trust what he has to say...even if it means sticking my foot in my mouth By the way...I'm going to be making extra sure I have clean feet on Feb. 5.

According to reports from No Coaster Con, Maureen stated they've narrowed the manufacturer of the new SoB trains down to two companies, but they still haven't decided. She said a final decision as to what will go where the loop once was cannot be made until they decide on trains, but that it will open in 2007. More here: http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forum.aspx?mode...p;TopicID=46439 Oh yeah...I also thought it was kinda nice to see Maureen got to represent all of the former Paramount Parks...Not just Kings Island. Way to go, Maureen!!!

That's kind of what I was thinking. The description kind of makes me want to think that as well. Exciting times. -

I could be wrong, but I think it ended at Great America. -

Carowinds 2007 Brochure

It would be nice to see...but if it does end up at only Carowinds, I'm just happy to see CF is bringing it back somewhere. It's a great parade! (And I'm not usually a parade type of guy) -

Heh...Got a little too excited and totally skipped over the dates. Who knows? Maybe a few of the parks will be getting their own floats. -
Was just surfing the Carowinds site and found this little gem: http://multimedia.paramountparks.net/carow...brochure_07.pdf A couple of things of particular note is they still refer to their Top Gun and Borg coasters as Top Gun and Borg..so it looks like the theming might be staying at least for this year. The other thing I noticed, and was quite excited about, was the return of the Nick Celebration Parade. I'm kind of curious as to whether or not I'm reading too far into the text, but it says "returning for the whole summer" so I'm wondering if all of the parks will be sporting the parade all summer long. Worth a look!

PKICentral announces new RSS Feature
Reclaimer replied to Dane's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Awesome! Thanks for yet another great feature..proving yet again why this is the best unofficial Kings Island website. By the way...Love the new favicon. A sign of things to come from the site? -
I went to the Danger Zone.

Ok, one...Bawls is nasty. lol Secondly, if they do keep Coke, I wouldn't be surprised to see Vault next season. It seems to be replacing Mellow Yellow at most every retailer I've gone to. Coke might be phasing out Mellow Yellow in favor of Vault. And someone said too many things are Pepsi. For me, I think just the opposite. Too many things are Coke. Most restaurants are Coke-only (save for the Taco Bell/KFC/Pizza Hut franchises). Paramount and Six Flags both use(d) Coke products in their parks, and most convenience stores either have both Coke and Pepsi fountains, or Coke only...I very rarely see Pepsi-only in convenience stores.

Even though I'm trying not to drink soda anymore...I'd kill for a mt. dew every once in awhile while I'm at the park.
-
When what happens? Oh, when that happens!
-
And now I'll say a GREAT second post. Welcome to the site!

Even if the temp pass didn't work, I'm sure if you explained yourself at GR they'd work with you. They know the parks open at different times, so I'm sure they'd be willing to help you out.

Haha...Click "other parks" on the 'new' cedarfair.com/kingsisland OOPS

Must've either been lots of complaints or someone wised up and decided a sticker wasn't a good idea. Don't forget that before this announcement, the parking pass description *did* say it would be a windshield decal...so something changed their minds.

I'll take the Yugo!
