I've gotta vote for a fall event or offseason. If I'm at CP again next summer, I'm not going to be able to attend again. Kinda sucks, not gonna lie. haha A fall event would probably get my highest vote, as I would be able to attend and it's always nice to get together with a group near the end of the season before the off-season sets in. Not to mention, if the event involves exclusive haunt time, I'd be all over it!

Wow. Those videos were great. I really wish we could see that ride make a return...more than anything. I'd also rather have it over a coaster.

The website they've given the ride is not unlike that of Maverick. It's very nice. That said, I also noticed in the construction diary entry a funny nod to the enthusiasts that 'hacked' the flash animation on the CW homepage. Also, the page for Behemoth doesn't reside at the usual www2.cedarfair.com/canadaswonderland/... web address, but is instead residing at attraction.canadaswonderland.com/public/... so a full CW website redesign looks like it might very well happen in the near future with the slight changes that have happened. Oh, and the background on the Behemoth pages is very OS X Leopard-esque a la "Time Machine"

Today is officially "the day" for Canada's Wonderland. In just a few short hours, the coaster gods will bless CW with a new, and well deserved attraction. I've never been to the park in person but, as with the other Cedar Fair parks, I tend to keep up with news and events going on in the various parks. One of these days I'll get up to CW to check it out...and this new coaster might just help give me that extra boost to go.

It's just an Intamin...and it's being quite moody this year. It was nice seeing you guys at entrance though. Too bad I was uber-tired of being out there for hours. haha

Yes, they drained the lake. Today was a sad day. I walked out of my dorm to head to the park and while getting in my car, a flat-bed truck was coming from the park on the causeway carrying a couple pieces of track away from the park. Oh well.

um, yeah. I'm going to have to disagree, King Maple. Take a close look at those pictures. The second one is taken noticeably to the right. The tree in the very left of the most recent picture can be seen in last weekend's as well..just without leaves, in the middle of the picture from the 23rd.

I saw that opening where the Coke machines used to be in The Beast queue last weekend and was curious. They could very well have just removed the machines, but it looked like there was other work going on. I agree that they really couldn't do much in terms of a Fearfest attraction there b/c of Beast crowd levels, but it leaves you wondering what could be going on there....if anything.

Regarding crowds (and the behavior of said crowds)...A lot of proms are going on right about now, and many in the area go to Kings Island after-words. This is probably the reason for the crowds/busses. Unfortunately, there are many a high schoolers who don't have much decency and shouldn't be allowed out in public. Such an example could be made for the incident at The Beast.

Railroad is staying closed 'til Boomerang Bay opens, I've heard. It's unfortunate they've been doing it the past couple years. Why did they even bother to run the train before WaterWorks was around? Oh, that's right...The train itself is a ride, not just transportation between the two parks.

So half the video is taken up by text and a poor animation of a bird flying while the other half that contains the actual ride only shows a couple quick glances at the actual train. Great value. In all honesty, I've still got my hopes up. I've seen the Carowinds Top Gun DVD and it doesn't seem too bad.

Ah...Weird. I thought that might've been what they did, but I didn't really notice enough space for seats to be missing. Guess they were though. Thanks for the info. It's good to see they at least removed them rather than just having them "there" and not being used. Less room for confusion now.

At SOAR, Maureen mentioned a couple rides were changed to bring them in line with the other CF parks while the others were manufacturer recommended changes. As for the argument that CF is just doing this to save a few bucks on insurance...Wouldn't you try to save a few dollars if you just dropped over a billion dollars on something? Especially if you are able to ensure and even safer ride. It's only logical CF would want to do both...save some money and make a safer park.
