  1. That's what I say too, but I had to throw it out there for people to chew on.
  2. (Emphasis added) Simply uninformed, or a slip-up of sorts? Count me in as one of the people that believes it's going to Dorney...But that quote just keeps sticking out too. Granted, it's from a person that could very well have been mistaken. Who knows.
  3. Hopefully we'll get to see it in the Indy market soon. I'm dying to see! Can I beg someone to Youtube it? Pleeeeease (yayyyyyy Happy 1,000 to me )
  4. Some great pics of Flight of Fear. Very interesting to see how this particular coaster was built. It's always interesting to see any coaster's construction, though.
  5. Pink? PINK? lol it would stand out, alright. Lord, the day I see a pink MAJOR coaster at a major park, I will cry. (I'm not talking FoC/Beastie, either...I said major, like Firehawk )
  6. Not anymore...Didn't you know it's becoming a Hooters this year? But in all seriousness, Cedar Point has had one. Kings Island had Coke before the Cedar Fair purchase of the parks, and continues to serve Coke this year. Cedar Point had Johnny Rocket's before Snyder purchased the chain, and Cedar Point will continue to have one this year. That isn't to say we won't ever see a Johnny Rocket's at KI...There's always a possibility. It would bring money to the restaurant chain...Snyder would be stupid to not allow it.
  7. As do I. Even though it was probably time for it to go, I unfortunately never got to ride it.
  8. I'm just sayin' Just don't forget about this lil deal http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7020900823.html
  9. I, too, prefer the red. It looks nice.
  10. I think you'll have a better chance of getting a Johnny Rocket's fix at Kentucky Kingdom than at Kings Island.
  11. Thanks for, yet again, providing some stunning photos of the park's past. You're a great guy to have around
  12. When Firehawk is scheduled to open! May 26-28, 2007* (*Subject to change due to factors beyond the control of Cedar Fair...that is the opening of Firehawk is subject to change, not Memorial Day Weekend, which will be then regardless! :) ) Memorial Day is also subject to change. It may be moved up three weeks to help save energy.
  13. I'd love to see it too. heh, They could've just re-used the old Geauga Lake commercials and just re-branded it to KI. The fun is back.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but if the center is the exit, and there also appears to be a path to the lower, right of the station. From what it looks like to me, it appears the queue will at least partially be under the station, as well as the exit. Am I right in thinking this? Anyone? Anyone?
  15. Seriously...What is an arcade doing in what used to be a German-themed restaurant/show-venue?
  16. Kings Island, Ohio – Mouths are watering as Kings Island kicks it up a notch with tasty additions to its food lineup. The increased variety of dining options - from Chinese cuisine to personalized Panini sandwiches - is the perfect ingredient for a scrumptious visit during the 2007 season. Panda Express: Kings Island’s fortune cookie exclaims that this is the destination for flavorful gourmet Chinese food, including Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, fried and steamed rice and crisp spring rolls. Chopsticks are optional, but a delicious meal is guaranteed! Panda Express opens late spring in the Festhaus. Fontana Bistro: Fresh-fruit smoothies, Jolly Rancher frozen drinks and gourmet pretzels are sure to tempt taste buds this summer in the all-new Fontana Bistro on International Street. This fun walk-up establishment opens April 21. Midway Treats and Eats: That sizzling sound is a made-to-order Panini sandwich grilling to perfection. The meat and gooey cheese stuffed meals are sure to be a hit! In addition, savory French bread pizzas make guests say, “Mmmmm!” as they walk down Coney Mall this summer. Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack: Human claws are pinching away for southern-style crab cakes and crab cake platters. In addition, Lt. Dan’s Back Porch Bar serves up deep fried pretzels, mega nachos, boneless wings and ice-cold beer every single day. International Street LaRosa’s: This Kings Island staple receives a complete makeover, debuting April 21. From all-new décor to shiny new floors and counter tops, this restaurant is opening in style! “Kings Island continuously offers guests signature food items that can’t be found anywhere else,” said David Zellner, the park’s director of food operations. “Our wide variety of dining options is sure to please all appetites.”
  17. Those are great! Thanks for all of the great pictures!
  18. Cedar Point has had Demon Drop for sale for quite some time, but no buyer has been found yet...It is still scheduled to be open so far this year. The Eiffel Tower/Demon Drop/Beast stuff was all a joke. Just having some fun.
  19. Anything is better than Beast.
  20. Records...phht. Nobody cares about records anymore. The more important issue is parking, as UncleHenry pointed out. I hope Cedar Fair decides to remove the Eiffel Tower next year and put in Demon Drop from CP. The Eiffel Tower is such an eyesore, and honestly, who cares about France? I say, let the Eiffel Tower surrender its spot to Demon Drop and the Kings Island skyline would look much better.
  21. Great update! I'm amazed at the speed the construction is progressing.
  22. ALL passes purchased thus far at Kings Island are gold.
