Flight of the Dead, I would like to direct you to the community's Terms of Service. http://www.pkicentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4128 Specifically, the first paragraph: I've never been a spelling/grammar "police" but my Lord, please just look at all of your posts! They're awful. You said in another post that it doesn't matter how you spell something, so long as the first and last letters are the same. These forums aren't one big word game, though. As such, we shouldn't have to work extra hard to decipher your posts. /endrant

I'm not an expert by any means and could very well be mistaken...but how would they get the trains down the hill in 'reverse' since the anti-rollbacks are there?

You'd better hope CF doesn't forget to call you and ask for your input on their future expansions. You might be terribly upset. Kinzel: "Woah! We almost forgot to call Swanky333 and make sure this isn't a favorite of theirs!"

Kings Island Lays Off 15...Restructures
Reclaimer replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
Yes. They are (were?) done via the parkfeedback.com site. They'd set up a special page on that site for different surveys...one of which asked what people thought of dropping the "Paramount" name, changing the name to "CBS", keeping "Paramount" etc. -
GL: No rerides, no cameras in line, NO FUN!
Reclaimer replied to ZosoBeast's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Do they have those darned turnstyles at all CF parks on all their rides, or is that just a Cedar Point thing? At Cedar Point, we were told no re-rides were allowed because we had to go through the turnstyles each time for a "count" -
Who has noticed that Drop Zone was just painted?
Reclaimer replied to adam47303's topic in Kings Island
Actually, Drop Zone *was* repainted this year. If you took the time to search, you'd see there was a discussion about this at the beginning of the season. -

It was repainted at the very beginning of the season. In fact, they didn't get around to painting the purple section of the tower until after opening weekend. -
Kings Island Lays Off 15...Restructures
Reclaimer replied to The Interpreter's topic in Kings Island
The Coke/Pepsi thing has already been discussed here. While it is still speculation, just remember that most, if not all, contracts have a "way out" and Cedar Fair is pretty hardcore on the Pepsi. But back to the subject at hand, "Kings Island Lays Off 15...Restructures"... -
what is the new ride for next season?
Reclaimer replied to rollerocasterfreak's topic in Coming Attractions
Keep hoping. -
My first fearfest was last year. We were at the park all day, and it wasn't too busy, even for a Saturday. But once 7 o'clock or so rolled around, all hell broke loose...and I'm not just talking about the haunts opening. I remember being on Face/Off right around sunset and looked out at the metal detectors to see a line of people to the parking lot. From around 7pm until close, we only got in two or so rides and one haunt because it was so busy. We wanted to do a haunted house and the train haunt, but it was just too busy! We did Psycho Path because the line seemed to be moving somewhat quickly...but we soon found out why: They were having one long, steady stream of people go through and the person working the entrance to the trail was actually getting really crappy with people to "hold on to the person in front of you or you'll be kicked out of the line!!!" Well, we did the haunt, and it was....not scary at all. Could've been...if they hadn't ruined it by having a steady stream of people going in so that the person directly in front of you screamed and pretty much gave away anything scary that was coming Finished off the night with The Beast...ALL queues were open and FILLED. The line was actually starting to spill back into the midway, which I've never even seen happen before!

Actually, MaXair spins the opposite direction and has a noticably longer cycle...that longer cycle is what makes many enjoy MaXair more, and rightfully so.

Speaking of Face/Off, I'm just like you..I refuse to ride unless it's less than 20 min. or so. I was just at the park yesterday, though, and couldn't believe...the line was inside the station, and it was double-ride Tuesday...so instead of my normal 0 or 1 ride per visit, I got in 4 rides...and could've probably done 2 or 4 more!
-
I believe you and all, but I'm a pretty seasoned forum-goer and have never seen the 'dear __" terminology. Again, I'm not saying I don't believe you...more that I don't believe that I've never seen that used before.

Awesome!! Glad you got to do everything you wanted and even conquered some fears! (Drop Zone still makes me nervous every time I ride it!)

Great Wolf Lodge Construction Preview!
Reclaimer replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
An amazing update, as always! Great to see this... Thanks for the great content, as always, guys! -
Awesome! Glad you had fun! Oddly enough, this super short condensed trip report was kinda nice to read. Would've loved to have seen what your appx. wait times were.

Looks like Top Gun over at PGA just got cameras installed: http://www.norcalcoasters.net/news.php?id=0804066 (last two pictures on page)

So has anyone on here met the guy yet? Probably too soon to tell, but I'm curious as to how often he shows up in the park to interact, if at all.

Go go gadget urbandictionary! Just got the idea to look it up there. DH came up with "dear husband" which would make sense. Nothing for "DD" though, except for 'drunk dialer' 'drug dealer' and 'designated driver' type things. But, putting two and two together, I've come up with: dh- dear husband dd- dear daughter ds- dear son

Just found that same release. That was quite a sudden (yet expected) and transparent transition...I figured there'd be an announcement somewhere about a change in such a high-level management position.
-
I may have missed it somewhere, but did CF put in a new GM or is Fisher or whoever still around?
-
I don't want to get too technical, but it does take two or three years to plan a ride, and as such, we'd be seeing something the park was planning under Viacom's reign. Of course, who knows...CBS could've seen the cost when they took over the park and gave the original idea the axe in favor of a new bathroom or something. Are you then saying that under CBS the park "went to pot?" Why would I imply such a thing?

I try to stay as far away from the Disney forums as possible. ...Disney fans are scary. (what do those codenames mean? I just got brave and checked out a Disney trip report and noticed they almost always use this terminology)
