They probably already had the Fun Guides designed and possibly even printed. The GP won't be seeing hardly any noticable changes until next year.

I believe Phantom Theater was being serious. The CP midways are nicely landscaped...especially the main midway. It's beautiful to look at from the Sky Ride and see the various designs they've put the flowers in.

Awesome TR! ....and 30 rides?!??! Wow...I can only dream. I'd love to marathon Beast.

Oh, I know they weren't wanting to do major changes during the season, but I could've seen them not putting in so much actual Top Gun footage if they had the intention of dropping the licenses. I do hope they end up implementing this in all the CF parks. I'd love an on-ride video of me on The Beast, MF, and Dragster.

You know, I never thought about it before just now... But Cedar Fair could've easily either done away with the idea of continuing installation of this on PCar's Top Gun or at least made it a little more generic...but they didn't. It's filled with scenes from Top Gun...and the music, too. Who knows, maybe they'll keep the theme... Although I'm sure it's not too hard to change the content that's shown on those DVD's. So this whole post could've been a waste of time.

Prepare to be sad. ...you know, it's not all about coasters. Sure, they're awesome, but flats and family attractions are also great..especially from a revenue standpoint in the park's eyes.

Just got an email back from our favorite person at the park with the following comment: "It's hard to say if Cedar Fair will bring it back in the future.....we'll never say never but I would say that it is unlikely!" ...so don't hold your breath.

That's been the rumor I've heard lately... More Fearfest this year than ever seen before.

I agree...Many of the Coney-area food stands are in need of some TLC. Nah, they need to be replaced. Even Subway is in a sad state. (With some sad employees as well!) I should've went to GR on my last visit due to a Subway employee. We were waiting for the parade to start right across from Monster. Right before the parade started, I wanted to run and get an icee. I ran to Subway, seeings as it was closest and nobody was in line, and as I walked up to order, a girl was just leaning on the cash register kind of cradling her head with both hands, totally ignoring me. I had to actually say "excuse me" to get her to acknowledge my existance. After placing my order of a single icee, she took her sweet little time to crawl across the food stand to get a cup, and then to the other side to fill the icee. After paying and getting my drink, I BARELY made it back to my spot before the parade started. Not ONCE during this whole experience did she smile or seem happy to even be alive. Needless to say, the parade was a welcome "happy moment"

Nobody's said new rules where in place...If they're getting more strict on dress code and cleaning up, I think that implies there are already rules in place they are simply concentrating more on.

Yeah, I can totally understand not having the even this year, simply because if they plan on getting rid of the "Paramount" in the parks, it'll take some heavy-duty work and they'll need all the time they can get to get rid of logos, spiels, rides, stores, merch, etc that mention the Paramount name. Not to mention anything else they plan on doing.

Yeah, I actually got a CP pass this year. Even though it's a 5 hour drive, as long as I make it up once more, it's paid for...and I'm going at least for Halloweekends.

Combat, that was my thinking as well regarding a possible return of the event in coming years, once the focus is off of rebranding the parks.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the original color of The Beastie. Not sure if the Scooby Doo had that color scheme. Anyone mind chiming in on this one? Haha...looks like the answer was being typed the same time as the question.

That could be interesting... It could go either way. It could either spell disaster, or drum up interest in the off-years to open the event to a 'full-house' the next year.

Probably so. The main changes I've been reading about since CF's take-over are mostly stricter dress codes and a cleaner park.
