Italian Job in the Enquirer Again
Reclaimer replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Sorry for the late reply...I lost this thread for awhile. Oops. To reply to the above quote: I am one of those people who paid extra money. I also realize that things happen to where rides will be down...even if my "god-given" self walks through those front gates, I know there's a chance something will not be running that day. People paid extra for "perks"...not the right for a big head simply because they have a piece of plastic with their picture on it. And finally, if these people cannot handle something being wrong at the park one day...they have their season pass. There's always next time! That's one of those "perks" I mentioned above...they can come back for free. Like I said, I'm one of these gold pass holders. I'm not, however, one of the arrogant pricks who runs around the park thinking I own the place. I have respect for the park, the employees, and the management...and I make sure to convey that respect to the employees I see rather than yelling at them for something that is out of their control. -

Didn't there used to be a rainbow at the entrance to HB Land? Maybe they moved it to SOB! Of course, I'm joking.

Italian Job in the Enquirer Again
Reclaimer replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Mr David Shaw (gold passholder) that was quoted as saying: "This is silly. It's the only ride I came here to ride," really needs to grow the hell up. I seriously considered not getting a gold pass this year simply because of the ass holes that make up a large portion of that group. They think they are "special" and "god-given" members of the park or something? I remember on sneak preview weekend this year, while I was in line to get my pass processed, they were asking everyone (even people renewing passes) to fill out a paper...some people went CRAZY because they had to fill out a couple blanks. My God...These people are nuts. They really need to see that the world doesn't revolve around them. -
She probably was sitting at home the other day thinking to herself: "Gee..I wonder how I can make some quick cash? I KNOW! I can sue Kings Island for that roller cosater banging my head around a bit 4 years ago! Now...where'd I put the yellow pages?"
-
Okay, I really want to get a job at the park. It seems like a great family. So, I think I'm done hijacking this thread... ...Now back to our originally scheduled topic.
-
OT: Stupendous, do you work greeter very often on Beast? It seems like I see the same guy there all the time. (Though I have seen a woman there once) Greeter has to be the worst thing to work on Beast.
-
Gold, but not my choice. I'd love to be one of the "C'mon in" people...but I live 3 hrs. away from the park. A season pass was pushing it

Paramount's Kings Dominion
Reclaimer replied to PKD4LIFE's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The kid is a PKD fanboy on a PKI site trying to tell the PKI fans his park and coasters are better. It's entertaining. -
Did the open up the lines to IJ to anyone now? Or are they still doing the "speed lane" tickets for everyone?
-
^^^ Very, very, very well put HomerJay. Couldn't have said it better.
-
Okay, at least it sounds workable. I guess the park is pretty flexible about the hours?
-
Rides is what I'm looking for. Thanks, Diana. Another question: Is it very tough to work at the park while attending college at the same time? I'm looking at possibly attending a college in Ohio and would like to work at either CP or PKI while attending school.

Great Wolf Lodge Coming To PKI
Reclaimer replied to Reclaimer's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Hate to get off-topic, but I didn't know that waterpark had its own site. I live about 15 minutes north of that place and have yet to visit it! It looks nice...I watched it being built this past year. -
I noticed the average work week at Cedar Point is listed as being around 40-50 hrs. per week based on a 6 day week. What are the hours like at PKI?

Ya'know...it ALMOST looks safe in this pic: http://www.americalovescrap.com/gallery/vi...varian_Beetle_2

That's my point. I'm already sick of seeing all those "best ____" It was a good idea, but they're taking it a bit far, IMHO. About my comment on CP people using that 2 feet to their advantage, I mainly was meaning the CP fanboys. Anytime there is new ride at CP, they seem to gloat about whatever "record" it may set. I should know, I've got some fanboys at my school...in central Indiana...5 hours from Cedar Point. Now, I have nothing wrong with Cedar Point. I'm looking forward to my first trip up there this summer. I just think some people take things a bit too far: The "creating advertising" with the best _____ statements and the CP vs PKI fanboy argument mainly.
-
Oh, the Cedar Point people will use that 2 feet to their advantage in some way or another. Don't forget, Maxair is the "best spin cycle on the planet" Excuse me while I throw up in the corner.
-
darnIT!!! Oh well. The suspense was killing me.
-
What about arrows?
-
Okay, I'm not seeing it.
-
Is it in the description or the picture of the ride itself?
