  1. If the person secures the camera in a bag usually we let them keep it, however if its someone taking on-ride video we ask them if theyd like us to hold it safely for them while they ride. If the camera is big enough we willt ell them to give it to us because it is a safety concern. Theres tons of legal on-ride videos out there on the internet, so please dont even bother trying to take pictures or videos while on the ride, unless you want to meet a probably not-so happy ride operator who just had to climb up a lift hill in the 90 degree heat with the sun over him/her because you broke a rule.
  2. Actually, both things you guys said are wrong. While in the past thats what they've done, this is what they do now: At Beast we take all our trains off at night and place them on the transfer track. Racer and recaR leave both trains on the track, one in the station one in the ready breaks. Beastie takes one train off at night. The steel coasters leave their trains on at night unless one is out of service.
  3. Like I said as well.
  4. Exactly, the main focus is the kids! Yeah, a lot of people love the old HB charecters but kids these days arent watching it. Kids would rather see Spongebob make a Krabby Patty then see Yogi Bear steal a picnic basket.
  5. Trust me, while everyone whines and complains that paramount is getting rid of HB, kids dont watch it like they watch Nick. All the kids I talk to when Im sent to work the HB carousel say. "Thats Scooby, but whos the rest of those guys?' And when I ask them to name the charecters they only know Scooby. Nickelodeon is more popular than old school HB right now, and Nickelodeon will bring in more famlies.
  6. They need to get decent projectors in there, you cant see anything on the screens. Probably because its not dark enough.
  7. The Beast, and Kentons Cove Keelboat Canal, a log flume that was removed in 2002 for the construction of Tomb Raider The Ride. Its a shame The Bat failed, I've heard that no current suspended coasters can compare to what teh Bat was. My dad rode the first two suspended coasters, The Bat and XLR-8 at Astroworld in Texas and hes said XLR-8 is crap.
  8. Do you ever search before you create topics screamingnight? THis has been discussed a million times. Thank you
  9. It sure would be nice though if PKI could add on to it and add inversions. It would be the only inverted suspended swinging coaster. I love Top Gun for its swinging features, but if you could add some inversons, make it longer, and give it theming it would be so much like a fighter plane.
  10. THe ride stops itself at brakes right before the inversion or the nearest brakes like every coaster does when a sensor fails.
  11. ^Where was the prototype made? Is it possible to put some kind of computer system on the car and when it hits a sensor before the inverson, it some how locks up and prevents the car from swinging?
  12. I was at the park as a guest with my friend yesterday and while we were sitting by Festhaus enjoying some smurfberry ice cream, we heard the phantom theatre music playing through a speaker behind us.
  13. It would probably remain the same, maybe go up a little because it would be all renovated and have a good reputation. I think the Nick Central expansion, if it happens, will bring in a lot of people.
  14. Yeah, its supposed to look like an aircraft carrier, you know cause all aircraft carriers have track built over them that carry the planes!
  15. Lamest poll ever, this has been discussed a million times. Paramount wants to put in themed rides. I cant wait till we break the record for height and speed next year with the rocket power strate coaster taking the water mazes place. *Note sarcasm
  16. Theres still a rideable Arrow shuttle coaster like Demon at Fun Spot in Angola Indiana. About 5 hours from here.
  17. My dad always claims that those used to be FOF ques. I remember it was aprivate company and oyu had your choice of a few flights. You could fly to Dayton, Cincinnati, and I think one other place. I believe you could also get on in like Cincinnati and fly to PKI.
  18. I think it was a fake, if PKD is gonna announce it, they would do it in bigger fasion.
  19. Budget cuts caused them to merge with the Yogi bear sky tour company. You can now find them in the center of HB.
  20. Those patato works employees, what will they think of next? The truth is, that Cedar Point operatives snuck in and sabotaged Delerium in an attempt to make Cedar Point look better! The first aid truck was just a cover. In the words of Admiral Ackbar... http://traprap.ytmnd.com/
  21. While IJST may not be thrilling to all you picky ACER's and mad coaster enthusiasts out there who wanted someting like dragster put in, it is thrilling to the general public. The public is loving the ride. Kids of all ages are loving the ride and its been a big success for paramount parks.
  22. I added some more pictures, not of PKI, but of random things. Let me know what you think.
  23. Do you remember about 10 years ago when people used to reproduce the old "Taste Great... Less Filling" Miller commercial? That used to own. My friends and I still do it on that ride.
  24. Some things may have been to costly or jsut too unrealistic to build. Imagination is great though, and I love seeing conept art. Sometimes though the concept art builds up too much what a ride may be like (cough cough IJ cough cough)
  25. From what my friend has told me, the theming on the one at PKD has gone even further downhill than PKI's.
