  1. I remember Skylab, but that was back when I was scared to go upside down. I too dislike pay to play attractions. Does CP have any of these, or are they all in Challenge park?
  2. I remember riding it once, it was an awesome ride, I was sad to see it go. Did it have enclosures over the entire car?
  3. I was just quoting what the man said. And he said. And I agree with him in some aspects. We should be moreso like Disney than like your regular amusement park, ie six flags, Cedar Fair, in the aspect of the theming and excitement of our rides, entertainment, and atmosphere. I think the park will make great strides at improving the overall apearance of the park in the next couple of years, keeping in our new tradition of fixing the little stuff like painting the tower, re doing the fountain, landscaping the parking lot, etc. The one thing I think we're lacking in is live entertainment. I wish we had more shows. BTW, Am I the only person who thinks Kareoke is not such a great idea to have on international street? I mean, its fun and all, but lets face it, we aren't getting any american idols on that stage. Only entertaining from the comedy standpoint. I like how universal's rides have live people being part of the show. Like the Tour guides on Jaws, the people at the beginning of Earthquake, and the actors in Terminator, etc. I think the fact that we are in the Midwest is even more reason for us to set ourselves apart. We are the most highly attended seasonal park already, Which technically makes us the Disney of seasonal parks.
  4. Manderin will be a new Mexican place, however the name has yet to be determined. And it will not be ready when the park opens. Yes, employees must either be in full wardrobe, or completely out of wardrobe while in the park during operating hours. You can do whatever you'd like during your break as long as you're back on time. Just keep in mind, Starbucks is probably a little more expensive than oscars
  5. I did hear Craig Ross tell someone one day that we should be the Disneyland of the Midwest.
  6. The name could differ from park to park, but at KI it's Pride night.
  7. Do you think they'll have ice skating on the fountain again?
  8. It's all about PKI! On top of all the great thrill rides we have, we are the park that started it all, and look at all the history in our park...1st stand up, 1st lim, 1st suspended, 1st coaster with 6 inversions, tallest gyro drop, 1st woodie with a loop, And Beast is still, the longest and badest coaster on this earth.
  9. A little ino about it I remember the episode, it was a good one. I think they were in the IR when Mike pulled out a drawing of scooby doo instead of the architecual drawing he'd accidently switched with his kids. You may want to check with the Kings Island resort to see if they have the video... I think it said on Q TV that we sell the episode somewhere in the park, possibly emporium.
  10. I didn't know you didn't have a kid to ride sgc...looks like i'll be jumping on that next week. People are going to look at me funny, but its cool, its one of only 2 coasters I haven't ridden in the park counting IJST... Thanks for explaining the levels. Now...what do the different levels of associates mean?
  11. That's awesome...I can't wait to be Kickin it all over town this year. And the School of Rock show sounds awesome as well. I'm still waiting for the Mission impossible stunt show from the survey though.
  12. I say Flight of Fear. Those that don't realize IJST isn't open will jet towards that area, leaving them at Tex and FOF...Tex is a people mover, and fof always has the longest lines, so with people heading that way, look for twice the wait.
  13. What are the different levels? And I don't think you have to have on on Beastie, but you do on Scooby Doo, I still haven't riden that darn thing, thats ok, I'll just jack some random kid walking through HB one day and gun for the ride...
  14. What type of rumors have you heard about the tunnel so far? I bet there will be gunshots...
  15. Every Friday in May. And i've worked several grad nights in Festhaus, it always gets rowdy in there. And we all know how crazy extended play turned out to be. All I can say is thank God we have metal detectors now.
  16. The universal garages don't look that bad either, they're mostly surrounded by palm trees. Also I never had a problem getting in or out of them. They never seemed too congested. And I thought the moving walkways were cool. At least it wasn't in an airport where you're dragging luggage with you.
  17. I definately underated this coaster in the beginning. I remember the night before they announced it when they were putting up the display at the front gate. I looked at it, shook my head, and walked away with the thought that it wouldn't be much better than Reptar (which is fun). I figured I'd ride it a couple of times and be done with it. But now I'm ecstatic about it. I can't wait for it to open. I think it will be very exciting. I also think KI will do a good job at keeping the themeing up now that we're all about the magic of the movies.
  18. I think the next generation of coasters will be more like IJST and Mummy where its not so much about the height, speed, and G's but more about the excitement and themeing of the ride.
  19. I thought it was real at first too, impressive!
  20. Think their will be another riot?
  21. My bad, wasn't paying attention, and it was merely a suggestion.
  22. Did anyone notice the TGIF thing on the PKI website? $20 admission, free parking, and dance parties in the Festhaus.
  23. What about the different settings? At PKI I always think Delirum will fly off and into the Festhaus. But What will the ride be like at CP? it looks awful close to DT. And will you get an awesome view of the lake? Colorwise I have to go with Delirium. I do like how CP mixes up the different colors all over the park, but Delirum's color scheme fits right into Action Zone. And as for you two...quit acting like kids and try to get along.
  24. I think next year will bring another coaster! Along with more landscaping improvements. And better shows. I also see the Tiques returning sometime in the future as spongebob's carwash.
  25. I have to admit, I grew up at KI, I worked at Ki, And I will probably die at Ki. But CP has some bad ass coasters. TTD included. It was one of the most incredible rides of my life. MF always leaves me speechless, and Raptor is just all around awesome. Also I think SOB sucks horribly And I think Mean Streak is better, although not by much. Beast is the best coaster ever, especially at night! Long live The Beast!
