I think if I am not mistaken it was Ozzy Osborne singing "Crazy Train" Don't hold me to that!
-
I also believe it is a ACE coaster classic. I don't see PKI removing it anytime in the future. Unless it is in that poor of shape that it wouldn't be fesiable to repair.
-
I never said the whole thing quit only the actors. I believe the animation continued till around 1991 or when KI was actually sold.
-
The Bear was left out so if you ride the train in the fall you can see it behind a tree in the woods next to the road. The actors left in 1979 but the theme was still up in the 90s just with out actors. so PKI Punk your kinda right I think the actors quit after the 1979 season but my brother seems to think it was after the 1980 season. Not sure.

They would use the money basically as tips. I guess is should have said tips instead of donations.
-
There was even a bear in the woods that would growl at you. That was truly the good old days.
-
You are absolutly correct it was at KI. This happened until I think about 1978 or 1979. I can remeber that like it was yesterday and the actors used to come up to the train cars and take donations to make it look like they were robbing the train.

I don't think that is track from The Bat. I believe it is track from the Scooby Coaster. I could be mistaken but it sure looks like it. I will check with my friend who is in maint. He can tell me if it is.
-
I don't think it will since the cemetary is taken care of by Warren Co. actually Deerfield Township. If I am not mistaken this cemetary is now being looked after by a church group.

I have been to one of Great Wolf lodges and they are great. Very nice and really not that expensive. Should be a great addition to the hotels around PKI.

A 510 pound Woman wearing Junior/Missy sizes? Isn't that kinda like stuffing an elephants ass into a nats pants?

I LOST MY SANITY AT PKI. CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND IT? IF I LEAVE A ADDRESS WILL SOMEONE MAIL IT ME IF FOUND? I LOST MY PARENTS ONE TIME WHILE AT THE PARK BUT A SECRUITY OFFICER FOUND THEM. I THOUGHT I GOT LUCKY!

If your Aunt had BALLS your grandparents would have been rich!

I hear KI is haunted by the ghost of amusement parks past. I hear he walks around the park and wonders where all the rides went that used to be there. I am sure in his ghostly life he can still ride The Flyers, Enchanted Voyage, The Bat, Kentons Canal Boats, Flight Commander and such.

I share some of these sentiments. Honestly, life isn't bad having a park like this less than a half hour away from home. I think there are people who'd kill to have a park like PKI near them! Even if I seem to like Cedar Point slightly more, it's nice to live in the greater Cincinnati area and have a good large park near home. Northern Ohio (outside the metro areas) can get kind of boring in the off-season. Did you just say what I think you said? Poo'd???????

My tradition is to ride the Carosel first thing. Never a line to wait in and my daughter loves it. Used to be to ride the Enchanted Voyage, but as we all know it was ruined by the Smurfs and then by PT.

You might be a PKI Addict if........You buy your girlfriend a season pass so you don't have to worry about saving money each weekend to take her to PKI!
-
The best ride ever at PKI is FOF! The Beast is a close 2nd and Racer is 3rd. The Racer will always be the all time classic!
-
I think if they changed it or themed it to something more intresting, cause let's face it, Top Gun is not the best themed coaster at PKI. At one time it used to be themed very well. When I worked there that was the coaster to be seen at. Now you can almost get on in 5 minutes, and even though it's an exciting coaster, I would like to see more than just hills and grass and metal around me.
-
I could see PKI changing the Theme of Top Gun to something else rather than spend the money to tear it down and build a new coaster. I can see it being themed to either a action movie or Star Wars. That would be a great idea and an addition to the park, after all you now have IJST as a car chase themed coaster. I would like to see them do something with it like the Vampire. That looks like a really great and themed coaster.

That would be sweet. Thank you!

Now can you find me the Video????? Thanks for the info.

Ok I must be old. Who is he? OMG Nick Lachey was one of the singers from 98 degrees. After they split up he went on to release a solo album. He is also married to Jessica Simpson. Please tell me who know who Jessica Simpson is. He also had his own reality show with Jessica, The Newlyweds on MTV. Which just aired the last epoisde last week I believe. Isn't he the one that is talking about running for Mayor of Cincinnati? I know who he is now that you said Jessica Simpson. See I told you I was old!!!!! I don't think I have ever heard any of 98 Degrees music, as I am over the age of 30.
