  1. There has been no better trip to KI than when I took my little girl for the first time. Enjoy your childs first trip, its amazing. And yes she was to short to ride The Beast, but she loved the carosel, ice show and fireworks.
  2. AE is the type of coaster that follows the lay of the land. I agree that it would have fit in perfectly in the Rivertown area, but the area of land that it is currently on is perfect for a mine train coaster. Maybe I should have been more clear, not the Mine Train experience, but the Aztec theme in the Coney Mall? How does that fit?
  3. As many have already said, CF has brought back the nostalgia of KI and they aren't done yet. Can we complain about Firehawk and Now a B&M Hyper??? Not to mention the entertainment is far superior than what Paramount ever did. My only hope is they continue on this path and bring in a more traditional sit down resturant. Wings is in serious need of some TLC and with the new Coaster in Rivertown we may finally see it.
  4. Ask and you shall receive and I know its hard to believe, but this is the edited version. As appeared during the last episode of PKIC Survivor. Enjoy The Beast Hunter Intamin Mega Coaster 250 ft Cable Lift Hill 245 ft 82 Degree Drop Top Speed 83 MPH l 130 Degree Over Banked Curve 6 Passes Through Son of Beasts Structure 2 Stengle Dives 6 Hills That Produce Negative G Experience Terrain Hugging Elements Through Dense Forrest. 3 Silver Stainless Steel Trains Olive Drab Supports Brown Track with Black Rails The Color Scheme Gives The Beast Hunter a Camouflaged Look so it Can Stalk its Prey… Back Story Set foot in to the dark, overgrown woods of Kings Island as you are in search for the Legendary Beast Hunter who has spent his entire life tracking the legendary monster and his Son. Are you brave enough to find the truth to what has tormented so many people throughout the Kings Island Region? Cue Line Guests will make their way through a twisted cue that twists through the Kings Island woods. The cue line will be littered with trap nets, snares, crates, and various supplies for the ensuing expedition. Throughout the cue line guests will also pass through dilapidated structures that account the various tales of encounter that people have had with The Beast and his Son. Along with telling these survival stories these structures will also house artifacts and items that attest to the existence of The Beast and his spawn. The Beast Hunter Station – A.K.A. The Hunters Lair Built to resemble a rustic hunting lodge, guests will find various maps of sightings in the area along with artifacts and relics that add speculation to the real existence of these creatures. Also inside the lair guests will see amateur video that might actually be sightings of the Son or the Father. Are those footprints of the creature? Once guests wind their way through the lair of The Beast Hunter they will be loaded in to stainless steel trains that were especially designed by The Beast Hunter, so that guests can assist him in his expedition to find The Beast and his Son. The Ride Once guests are loaded in to the stainless steel trains they will start their 250-foot ascent to the top of lookout to see if they can spot either The Beast or the Son. Once at the top guests will be able to see the surrounding area, there’s The Beast behind us and there is the Son directly ahead! The Beast Hunter trains will begin the chase by diving 245 feet at 82 degrees straight towards terra firma. Rocketing through the thick forest bellow, the track will curve to the left heading directly for the Son. The train will be moving at over 80 miles per hour and will only be mere feet off the ground as it rampages through the woods. At this point the train will aim towards the heavens and eye the target once again. Climbing 165 feet in the air riders will see the Son of Beast directly ahead, once they crest the top of this giant floater hill they will dive through the heart of the Son’s first rose bowl. As the train pulls out of its dive it will accelerate through the structure of the Son and reach for the sky once again. Climbing to 145 feet the train will perform the 1st of 2 Stengel dives. The train will dive to the left and head for the mammoth lift structure of the Son. After a high speed pass of where the loop use to sit the Hunter will rocket up through the lift structure exiting the Action Zone side. Standing 125 feet in the air the Hunter will execute its signature giant 130 degree over banked curve to the right. Guests will then cross over the top of the Son’s lift hill and dive through the structure of the Son’s final rose bowl and floater hill. Once the train pulls away from the ground it will enter the block brake section to allow guests a few seconds to catch their breath after an intense battle with the Son. Coming out of the brake run the Hunter will execute 4 floater hills in succession that closely hug the terrain and provide a quick escape from the Son’s grasp. Guests will experience maximum negative G’s through this section because these hills are designed to maximize speed and to provide the most air time possible. The track will then sharply rise coming out of the 4th floater hill and execute the 2nd and final Stengel Dive. This time the train will dive to the right as the Hunter makes its way back to the Lair. Executing one more floater hill to give the riders one more negative G experience before the train enters a high G upward double spiral before entering the brakes and slowly coasting back in to the station
  5. I will produce upon request so you dont have to do any digging.
  6. As requested by another loyal member to the site, here is Zoe's first trip to KI. Given this was June 2007 and she was only 2 weeks old. Yes thats right I had my daughter to KI when she was only 2 weeks old. They must start early and Daddy was never prouder that day. Yes there will be a trip report for her trip this year, problem is Mommy and Daddy haven't taken her yet, if you have read my other forum, Ive been a little busy. So turn up your speakers and enjoy the show... Just for you Avatar...
  7. Yeah The Beast Hunter was actually an idea for a new coaster I submited during the last seasson of PKIC survivor. Im sure Henry can post the concept for you, if not just ask, I still have it around here somewhere.
  8. Who wants to go to downtown Dayton? I use to live there, I should know
  9. I never understood how AE fit in. Seriously, where did that idea come from. The most anticlimatic lift in history...
  10. Since the ride is in close proximity to the Crypt I would love to see a fly through of the ride building. Something along the lines of Thunderhead shooting through the station. Yes I know Im out on a limb and its not going to happen but how cool would that be? Add some new excitement to the Crypt as well.
  11. Well if we stick with a Western Theme, King Cobra doesnt fit. Most feared snake in the west? Rattlesnakes, which are a type of Viper. So how about Steel Viper or Iron Viper? In keeping with the Rivertown theme, what do us folks on the Ohio River and especially back in the hills like to make? Moonshine. Another name for Moonshine? White Lightning. How about White Lightning Express or some variation? And last but not least the Mustang clue. CF is arleady putting in the Poney Express at KBF, so we could see a recycle or also something along the lines of, The Wild Stalion. Just my thoughts kids.
  12. The Duck Tours could be huge. I have ridden these before in Branson MO and what a great time. I think this could be a great addition to down town and could be a steady draw. Will definately have to check these out.
  13. If I do a 3rd season this winter, it will still be Congo. I have a good chunk of the plans finished. Who knows, applications just might start going out in a few months... Sounds good, I would always be up for making an apperance or two as a Survivor AllStar, I like a good challenge every now and then.
  14. Yeah but Maverick information came out long before the Press Release. Maybe it is just how CF opperates now, just like we knew about XFlight coming long before it landed in the parking lot.
  15. True and especially with the cost of lodging around the park being very costly, Great Wolf, I still think a camp ground similar to Lighthouse Point would be a great addition to the park. Im in no way saying thats whats going in next to SoB, but it would be nice...
  16. Still wish The Beast Hunter theme would have been used, PKIC Survivor anyone?
  17. Is it really that hard to figure the name out folks?
  18. ^ Very true and being the fanboy I am I want to view my fireworks at KI from International Street with the Tower in the foreground.
  19. True but when situations arise and you have a line full of people waiting 45 minutes and not moving that is not a good situation. That is asking for something to happen
  20. Short, somewhat, but must you remember there are some great B&M Hypers close to the same length. AC at BGE is only off by a few hundred feet, thats a brake run. Hmm how great were Parmount Press Releases and then the ride half delivered. Remember the supposed rumble down the stairs as you entered the subway or the fish tailing effect on IJ:ST? Anyone? Plans change, but rarely is it an addition. Well folks the plans stated 3 loops but we decided 10 instead because we just have all this spare money laying around. Not likely, if anything there are normally cuts because of budget restrictions and over runs.
  21. Because people don't have the patience to wait during the fireworks show? That seems a bit drastic. Exactly like I said, easiest solution is to shut down The Beast line prior to the Fireworks. When the line would shut down is dependent on size, 30 minutes and hour, beforehand. Not move the entire site.
  22. Yeah Pickens is in his own world. Afterall if oil goes up he is even richer, if that is possible, I wonder if at a point it even matters to a person. Bill Gates anyone?
