Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!

Heres a thought about the transportation of X-Flight Track. If you notice in the pictures the trucks are only able to carry 2 pieces of track per flatbed. How many pieces of track are there? Thats going to be a lot of trips from GL to KI to transport all that track. Also the trip is roughly 230 miles one way, making a round trip is 460 miles. With disel prices and the number of trucks required or the number of trips requires that aint going to be cheap moving X-Flight from GL to KI. -
Have you seen X-Flight opperate with 3 trains and both sides of the station? It can move a line pretty fast.
-
Aurora, Project Vulcan, Project 51, SkyStreak, Valkyrie If anyone has been to the Air Force musem or is a fan of the various X-Planes most of these names will make sense. Still I think X-Flight is a great fit for the area. Maybe just a new color and station.
-
^ ^ Same reasson that GL only opperate one side of the station on X-Flight. This thing will be a capacity monster when Kings Island opperates both sides of the station.
-
Yeah the ride will go up unpainted, because they still will have to move it back to the construction site and then assemble the ride. Which means its going to receive a lot of paint chips as it is assembled. I wonder if they will keep it the same color scheme or some more Stealthy?

How about Fed-X-Flight since it has been shipped from GL to KI

Coaster Track Spotted at Kings Island!

Lets see Leaves from the trees, hey you know there use to be more trees there. I remember the time when that was very heavily wooded. Wow I cant believe they were able to tear Great Wolf Lodge down that quick. Another tremendous post on your part. Thanks for adding to the forum. -
Because it is fun to stir the pot, especially when it involves certain members. Also how do you know we are all in our teens and early 20's? I think you would be surprised at the diversity on these boards. This aint your average fan site partner.

If? How about when. Seeing as track is on site and they have cleared land by FoF. Just a thought. -
^ Havent you heard they cleared the land to put Flying Eagles and Tiques back in. These pics are of the staging area for the X-Flight track to be sent to MiA.

Great! Every ride needs huge fans! I've been a fan of the Vekoma Flyers since I rode my first one...at some park then called Six Flags Worlds of Adventure...I watched Borg being built, both in California and in the Carolinas...and loves me some Batwing. I guess I'm just a Flying Dutchman Fanboy! You know its bad when you are a fanboy of a specifc manufactures coaster type... Seriously one fun ride though. I will agree it is better than the B&M Flyers out there as well. -
^ ^ PKI Asylum or Extreme PKI, Which are you talking about? hahaha

Great Coaster, Great Park, Looks Like 07 will be a Great Year -
I think they are using the Kings Island parking lot as a staging area to re load and ship the X-Flight to MiA.
-
^ Thats what makes a ride like SpiderMan or The Mummy so great is the story and how the riders are immersed in it. The Mummy has to be the best themed attraction out there.

Gotta Love the offseasson and how excited folks get over a new ride. Especially the one of the quailty of X-Flight. Still waiting for pics.
-
I figured X-Flight would have Gold Parking status. hahahaha Anyone take some pics yet, I dont get off till 6 so it will be nice and dark out even if I were to go down there. Im excited to see the first pic of green track on property. Nothing beats the off seasson. Well maybe the seasson beats the off seasson, but thats not the point.

Spotted by who and where at? Anyone snap a pic?

My ideal coaster needs these elements. Speed Height Positive and Negative G's Comfortable Restraints Smoothness Unexpected or unique elements, something that makes it different from everything else out there. Something like Millenium Force, Hulk, or Titan. Those rides offer a good combination of elements.

I was by the park twice this weekend and there is absolutely no track sitting in the parking lot. So I have not seen any of the track with my own 2 eyes and it has not yet been confirmed that X-Flight is coming to Kings Island.

Actually the building is not on the National Register of Historic Places and the Stair Case that the wheel chair lift was located on was in a small stair well very similar to that of International Restuarant. Without meassuring or even knowing the dimensions I dont know if it would fit, but the stair wells are very similar. So what it really comes down to is would a chair lift of this nature be acceptable instead of an elevator? Thats the true question.

^ Agreed, GL is at a crossroads right now. Either it will make it or Cedar Fair will kill it off. Remains to be seen, but SixFlags managed to kill a nice park when they made it SFWoA. This will not pull CF under because they only have one park in this situation, SixFlags has many and the growing cancer that is Magic Mountain.

Like I said early on I would think this area screams Area-51 theme. But in the pictures we have seen there didnt look like anything had changed in the current Fort Cooper area excpet for the land grading next to it. So we might see some big changes once X-Flight is installed, but I would doubt they do anything major until to ride is in. Kinda how with Nick Universe they didnt add any new paths or landscaping until after all the rides were completely installed. So maybe 2008 will be the Area-51 theme.
