  1. The school I graduated from many years ago is going to face a decrease in funds over the next 2 years atleast. They have already started to look at what programs they will cut, like the arts and athletics.
  2. Thats real funny, but true. Thankfully our MidQuarter started today so it should be pretty quite.
  3. Wow Jesse, just Wow!!! I am impressed with your water gardening expertise and the water garden you put in is absolutely amazing. Did you use the flexible waterproof liner rather than the preformed? Also does stream empty in to a pond or is it more of a zen style water garden. Excelent Job.
  4. I just dont see the local company that is interested being succesful. They are talking tickets for rides, pay for each show or armbands. I see FPI MB being the better more organized option, like you mentioned Cory. They also seem very serious since they have all of their financing together.
  5. I would say Great America, might also be why the woodie got put on hold for them, and the second is probably Carowinds. Kings Dominion got Dominator last year which was a great addition for the park. Thats why I am just guessing that it is Carowinds and not Kings Dominion that strugled last year.
  6. ^ I agree Terpy, also its funny but Six stock has been hovering around $.30 for almost 3 months now. I think it is going to stay close to that until something major happens like you mentioned.
  7. The splash down landscaping is really coming along. The extensions that were added to the top of the trough really hide the track.
  8. My how the Auction Big Board has changed. $100 is the new low bid. This is getting pricey. http://www.kiDiamondback.com/public/auction/grid.cfm
  9. Ive been to the Hershey Story Museum once and it was enough. I don't remember that many strollers when we were there, but then again there wouldn't have been much room for them to navigate. And Gator we always put our little girl in our backpack carrier at NewPort. She can see great and it doesn't kill my back. I hike with her at Hocking Hills ridding back there as well. Quite a workout when you are carrying around an additonal 30lbs of weight.
  10. Strange sub headline, but I guess they are trying to be reassuring. Not surprising since from what I hear Wonderland came off of one of their best seassons ever.
  11. Cedar Fair 4th-quarter loss widens on large impairment charge; shares hit new year low Heck of a discount for CP stock currently and two things that stick out. Folks seem to be spending more than one day at the parks, but holding back on what they spend in the park. Also I think this could lead to more parks receiving resort hotels and possibly camp grounds like Light House Point in the future.
  12. This would definately be a Functional Process Improvement for Myrtle Beach Entertainment. I hope for the sake of the MB that this is able to go through. Would be great for the park to open under new managment that from what little is known about them already seem to have a plan on what needs to be done to get the park up and running.
  13. Almost every major park out there has a seen a doubling of interested job applicants. A sign of times most definately, but also they parks should have no problem meeting staffing levels.
  14. I wouldn't expect another coaster for about 4-5 years. I figure we will see infastructure, dinning, entertainment, and some flats during that time.
  15. Wait you had the "Captain Zoom" birthday records as well? Same here, my Mom actually broke that out on my 21st birthday a few years back. Hahaha
  16. Interesting thought definately. Just seems like a long way to recirculate water, I wonder it might just spring up around the station house and trickle down to the splash pool.
  17. The spalshdown is going to look great with those big rocks. Rivertown is forever changed with the presence of Diamondback.
  18. I didn't see this posted anywhere so I wanted to add it. I see this was posted, http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16235
  19. /film Spielberg's deal with Universal earns him 2% of all park receipts, which is between $30 and $50 million a year. Like the article says he wouldn't want to ruin a good thing and Disney is in no shape to pay that kind of money right now.
  20. ^ Did not know that, only remember when constructioned was finished it was roofless. Thanks for the clarification
  21. One of the least utilized entrances to the park and the best for getting to the big rides quickly, I also frequent the entrance by Good Times Theater, although a little more dificult to enter from.
