knobels #3? I have never been there and never will. -
Hydra and mystery mine? Hydra and silver bullet are the worse b&m rides I have ridden. I almost fell asleep on those two.

You know that parks pay things like this as advertising? -
Maybe its the customer's fault. As soon as xcelerator was designed: Mr kinzel: I want a ride twice the height at Cedar Point. Intamin: we would like to gradually move up in speed to perfect the hydraulic launch. Mr. Kinzel: I will hire someone else. Intamin: we will do it. Look at the complexity of rides Cedar Fair buys from intamin. Intamin is the only company that will attempt such projects.

Does this sound familiar: You are on a b&m and your hyped up and then you hit a trim brake...
-
Ain't that the truth! I agree, they produce so many hyped coasters that are busts.
-
Personally I would think that a person trolling would not take time to do research...
-
What I am saying is who knows what Intamin plans. There is more area in a square thus more concrete for the footers. Circles has less area thus less concrete. Maybe intamin was over budget a tad and changed to circular footers or they are introducing a new track design. Or the customer said they wanted circular footers for aesthetic pourposes.
-
You can't base your predictions on footer shapes. The innovators at Intamin are always changing things for the better while other manufactures stay with the same designs. Look at track, b&m has one track style. Intamin has box, double spine, triangle, etc.
-
Thanks, that's the way I want to look when I star in the "300" remake.
-
Part of my evidence. Intamin circular footers. Game, set, match...

I don't have any quams with any of the intamin lap bar restraints. I have a hard time with the otsr's on my shoulders cause I am so jacked however.

It's not like your just shooting down other people's ideas or anything. I mean, everyone is entitled their own opinion, right? You seem very confident that its gonna be a b and m invert, which I have nothing against that idea, as I love their coasters and someday hope to work for them, but unless you have proof that its an invert, I think there's still a good chance it could be a giga, which would be awesome.Mer, just pointin' out. I never said Kings Island's new ride was a B&M inverted coaster. Show me where I said that. This is why I don't think it's an Intamin coaster: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27275-starting-to-decode-2014/?p=524912 Here's Intimidator 305's track support footings, notice how square the holes are compared to the track support footings of a B&M's and Kings Island's attraction? Goliath (B&M hyper) footings: Intamin changes designs like I used to change gf's. Our footings are more like Goliath's than I-305's.

Rcdb states mf at 1300. With the slow lift chain and no mcbr I have a hard time agreeing with the 1600. Plus mf has 36 passenger trains. If a b&m had a cable lift I could see it.
-
If I was mr. Ouimett, I would give intamin a 30million check and have at it in the allocated space to work with. I guarantee it will be more than lift, drop, hammerhead, hill, hammerhead, camelback, brakes.
-
The intamin giga will be cheaper than the b&m. Does anyone have any pph estimates for leviathian? With the chain lift and what appears to be a 1000' break run it looks to me as not being as efficent as MF.
-
Inverts don't take up a lot of land. Intamin giga...
-
What about a haunt that you pay extra for and if you make it out without giving up you get your money back.
-
If that's true why is so many degenerates bouncing their balls around the park?

5th of July crowds (Industry-wide)
YoungStud replied to homestar92's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Its hit or miss on the crowds. People could think that it won't be crowded and show up or people will think it will be packed and not go. Do don't know if you don't go. Hopefully someone chimes in with six flags flash pass, I have not been to a six flags park since they had the qbot. -

Most Embarrasing Thing That Happened To You At KI
YoungStud replied to KIMonster14's topic in Kings Island
My most embarrassing moment was at cp in line for ttd. I had to use it but did not want to forfeit my space in line. I had my girl at the time shield me and I went at the corner of the railing where the ramps split leading up to the station. -
The further out the construction goes the increasing probability of a intamin giga...

I am sorry, but I do not understand. Let me make a comparison: People go to Cedar Point or Kings Island to ride rides and watch shows. People go to Mcdonald's or Wendy's to eat. The goal of a amusement park is to have happy guests. When you have a people eating capacity ride such as a three train b&m ride, it is intended to be operated in a way to serve roughly 1500 guest per hour by having the crew hit intervals(the reason for the MCBR. I don't understand why its ok for KI to not even come close to hitting interval on certain rides. People chime in and say its about the customer experience. I don't know how the Diamondback crew of 2013 is providing a better customer experience than any high capacity attraction at Cedar Point. Nothing compares to the ride experience on TTD, MF, Magnum, Raptor, etc. When I take my baby to Planet Snoopy we are provided courteous service. There is a girl that works the joe cool dodgem school who is considerate, and rushes to operate her ride in a timely manner. She gives each child a high five and quickly moves to each car unlike the Diamondback crew that wanders mindlessly around the station. This goes back to my comparison. Mcdonalds and wendys are quick serve restaurants. They both prepare food quickly. KI is a amusement park, part of the customer service requirement is operating a ride how it was intended to be operated and that is to shuffle people on off the trains to hit interval to allow more people to enjoy the ride. Its not right to have to wait just as long for a three train operation ride than it does if you were waiting for Invertigo or drop zone.
