  1. Thanks for the update, I really enjoy the podcast, especially during the cold winter months.
  2. Face Off. I like to get that one early, before the line gets crazy.
  3. On the news the other day I heard them say there were going to be exclusions for employees under 16 years of age, (while they showed a roller coaster on screen). They made no mention of amusement park workers in general. now I'm curious if the media just screwed up the facts once again.
  4. How 'bout "At Cedar Fair, we move mountains for our guests."
  5. I thought I read somewhere, a while back that the announcement for 2007 was going to be on Jan. 18th does anyone else remember this, or was it just a dream?
  6. Bringing the 'Tiques back could be a good move, I heard so many families planning on riding them while standing in lines the past 2 years. Poor uninformed general public, thought they were still there and operating. I didn't have the heart to break it to them. I always enjoyed them also. It was nice just to sit back and let my kids chauffer me around for a change. 'You can't spell Son of Beast without SBNO'
  7. I looked high and low in all of the shops for that video and could never find it. I even e-mailed guest relations, but they never responded. I wanted a copy of it too, mainly because of the original television commercial being in it. ACErs are the only ones I know of who have it.
  8. I think it would be cool, (if possible) to replace all of the track with tubular steel track, get new trains and make a hybrid out of SOB. That way they could use maybe up to 90% of the frame work and not worry about the expense of demo or new material to replace it. (I would imagine it's not possible, but it could make for a smooth ride)
  9. "maXair was sooo much better than Delirium" What made it better?
  10. I'm pretty sure they happened the same day, that's why it's refered to as "Black Sunday"
  11. I would be willing to ride a six hour marathon on SOB once they give it thumbs up just to help prove it safe once again.
  12. I miss the 'tiques just because of the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere it provided, I hope CF finds a new place to put them.
  13. Here's another example of the media at their finest, publish it without fact checking.: "It isn't the same roller coaster, man. There's something going on with it," Thompson said. "You expect this thing to be wild, because I've ridden it 10 or 12 times before for the last 12 to 13 years, but this time, it was violently wild." The ride has not been there for 12 or 13 years. http://www.nbc4i.com/news/9507334/detail.html
  14. I know they made us takes our sunglasses off, but if you have a strap on them they may let you wear them.
  15. That is the car that we always sit in, and that's right. It's the best car to sit in.
  16. My thought is that if the park enacts a rule, it needs to be enforced 100%. I would categorize someone smoking in an area where it is prohibited, and someone line-jumping, and someone carving their name in a queue, all as similar offenses. I would like to know how significant of a decrease there has been in the number of cigarette butts being swept up at the end of the day compared to 2 years ago.
  17. So anywho, does anyone know when or if PKI still has early ride times in AZ on the weekends?
  18. I also was talking about how much PKI bashing is happening lately. My family is planning a CP trip this week, so I've been checking out PointBuzz. It really has been refreshing to visit a fan site that had so many positive things to say about their park, it's getting me ready for what should be an awsome day. We've been to PKI a couple of times this year and the ONLY thing I could think to complain about is the prices have gone up slightly, but I can deal with that because I always have a great time when I'm there.
  19. Which ever you choose, if you get there early buy your ticket first thing, they are usually cheaper and you can come back to ride anytime that day with your ticket. Last time I was there I paid $5 for SlingShot, and two minutes later the price went to $10, by the time I left the park it was $15.
  20. I don't know about that, but I did see the "Pay once, visit twice" deal at Kroger. Maybe that will help you.
  21. http://www.insurancejournal.com/news/east/...04/26/67612.htm I just wanted to hear opinions, on how you think this would work. I can see it now... Groups of 8 year olds with fake IDs.
  22. I was there yesterday, (4-16), other than the closed rides in AZ I had a great visit, no more than a 15 minute wait for anything except Sling Shot. Prices were a little higher, but that's inflation. I finally picked up Kings Island-opoly, I've been wanting it since I saw it on here during Winterfest. It sounds like flightoffear1996 had a black cloud overhead all day, I hope your next visit is better.
  23. Check out - http://www.ycdtotv.com/ Go to multimedia, and choose full episode. They update it weekly I think.
