Information about the Son of Beast Incident
Pkirocker77 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Maureen, you are doing an excellent job keeping things under control. Keep up the good work. -
It's 1 friend per passholder, meaning if you bought a 4-pack of passes for your family, and they each went, 4 other people could get in the gate with them. CoastersRZ beat me to it.

That's exactly what I thought. When I first read that I was thinking that the loop was a ways away from the big drop. Of course, after considering it for a while, I thought that maybe I was crazy. Anyways, I hope for the best for the injured, the park, and SoB. May we keep the hospitalized in our thoughts.
-
This is horrible! It is so tragic when this sort of stuff happens. May those who were injured be in our thoughts. (And to think I was going to ride SOB, but instead decided to ride the rides in NU.) I hope that no one has a severe injury.
-
SOB doesn't open at 10 either. It didn't even open at noon last time I was there. (Which was July 7th.)
-
Really? I haven't gotten one this year, so I wouldn't know, but when I got mine (2+ years ago) it looked nice.
-
Well, it's to be expected. There are high prices at every other photo booth in the park, this one had to follow suit.
-
They will allow you to take pictures with them for free. PKI has professional photographers there, so you can buy the professional pictures, but they allow guests to take pictures with their own cameras. They can do some cool things with those professional pictures, though. They can put it on a t-shirt, make it look like a cover for Nick Magazine, etc. Hope that clears things up.

Cedar Fair gets Antitrust Approval for Acquisition
Pkirocker77 replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Kings Island
Yep, go ahead! Cedar Fair has taken over. It is now offical! -
What would you suggest bringing in the park?
Pkirocker77 replied to becca011906's topic in Kings Island
My family puts everything on a stroller and walks around like that, since we don't have a young child. I would suggest that you DO bring your own cameras/film and sunscreen, as the prices for these are unreasonable in the park. As for stuff you SHOULD NOT bring, I'd say water and foods, but you may be able to get in with this stuff. If you do, you'd save money, but I'm not sure how strict they are. You should be able to bring sippy cups with you, but I'm not sure. I heard the cost for lockers is $5.00. The lockers can hold quite a bit if you stuff everything in the right way. As far as I know, the only lockers you can still use are the ones by the gate. You pay for lockers at the wheelchair/stroller rental desk. Have a great trip to PKI! -
Okay. At least I know I'm not missing much. This is only my second visit this season, the first was opening day, and I was too tired to post a trip report for that.

Today, my family and I went to King's Island. Here's my report: We got there about a half hour before park opening. We had to get our Gold Passes processed, which took about 20 minutes, since the employee who took our pictures was hard to communicate with. Then, we went in the season pass entrance. We rented a wheelchair for my sister who hurt her back a couple of weeks ago. Then, we went to the Nick Universe early ride times. I went straight to Avatar with my dad. It was a blast! We got right back in line and rode again. The second time we got a seat on the end, which resulted in a great ride. Then I rode the Fairly Odd Coaster. (I still call it The Beastie, though.) It was a good ride. Then my father and I rode Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle. My dad scored about 700 and I scored 390. Then, we looked around in the Nickelodeon store. They had loads of cute Nick stuff. After that, I rode Phantom Flyers. It was a fairly cool ride. I went on it again just because the line was short. Then, it was time to go to Rivertown! My dad and I rode Tomb Raider and had an awesome time! The line was about 30 minutes. A staff member said 45 minutes, but then loads of people got out of line because they didn't want to wait that long. Then, my dad and I rode The Beast. I found it painful, as usual. Yet somehow, it's always fun. We moved on to ride IJ. The line was probably 15-25 minutes. It was loads of fun. After that, I rode Shake Rattle and Roll, which, like always was enjoyable. Then we ate lunch at Happy Days. I had a chicken sandwhich with nothing on it, fries, and a soda. It was delicious! Then, my dad and I went to the FX theater, to find Hanna Barbera closed. We rode SpongeBob 3D. My dad and I rode Adventure Express. Then we all watched people play Jacob's Ladder. We only saw one guy win, and the whole area appluaded for him. After that, my dad and I rode Top Gun. It was okay. Then, I rode Delirium for my first time. It was awesome!!! Then, we headed home.

Get in line for Italian Job. It breaks down. You wasted 30 Minutes in line. Lose your next turn, and hope that it reopens.
-
You might be a PKI addict if... You've been there a lot, and still want/get a soveneir each time, even though it's usually the same stuff. Guilty.
-
I had to say Nick Central. They are always energetic, and most of them are friendly.... They work fairly hard, and think about how hard it is to deal with little kids. You Nick Central people are awesome!
-
They still make new Spongebob episodes. They're on with Friday night slime time. In fact there was a new one on just last week.

Another innocent hurricane victim
Pkirocker77 replied to Akira1422's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
That is sad. I hope some one reopens the park. Katrina victims, our hearts are with you. -
I seriously doubt that one. Whoever makes up rumors these days annoy me...
-
Wow! I've found nothing....
-
You're joking right? Do you know how much money KI would lose?! Without HB-Land/Nick Central, families with kids wouldn't come, thus meaning their profits would go down. Sure a coaster would be cool, and it would bring in a few people, but again families that have kids wouldn't care. PKI's a family park offering a unique experience to everbody. It dosen't matter if it's going on your first coaster like The Beastie, sharing laughs with friends on SDATHC, getting soaked on WWC, or soaring through the forest at amazing speeds on The Beast, there's something for eveyone that will impact what they remember when they're older or if they become Theme Park Junkies. *Sigh* I wish I still got Boomerang..... We changed cable providers and they don't have Boomerang, which is sad because I love the old HB cartoons. I like Nick too, though.
-
It's short. It's a more thrilling family ride (because of LIMs) It's usually worth the wait, and is pretty fun considering. Sure, it didn't live up to what it was hyped up to be, but definatly *sp?* worth a one time ride.
-
Good one PKIBeast. Strange thing is, the Funnel Cakes Guy told me the same thing.
-
FoF is the best coaster at PKI. Not the best ever on my charts, but it's up there with Raptor and Apollo's Chariot.
-
Nooo! Not Congo Falls! I'm okay with the skyflyer and DoT, but definatley not Congo Falls.
-
If PKIcould change the type of coaster TG is,What?
Pkirocker77 replied to BeastVortexFan's topic in Kings Island
I would like an inverted coaster like Raptor at CP, or Alpengiest at BGW. I'd take either company, (Vekoma or B&M) just give me a normal invert. I don't consider Face/Off a real inverted coaster.
