  1. Need I remind everyone that the outside of Action Theater still had all it's urgent scare facade up until very very shortly before the new Dinosaurs Alive 3D movie opened? The park can easily remove that stuff. If they are going to do work on Son of Beast later this season, and need to remove the haunt out of it, it could be done very quickly. They are probably so busy with the other aspects of the park, that they figured they would leave it in SoB's station until they HAVE to remove it.

  2. I used to be the biggest fan ever of the Blue "ice cream" at Kings Island (I had to put quotations to please Interpreter, since technically it isn't real ice cream lol) but this season the ice cream has changed. It used to be really creamy and delicious, now it is almost...."icy", that's the best way I can describe it. It isn't anything like it used to be.

  3. Speaking of Cedar Point's rides restraints, does anyone know why their PTC trains on Mean Streak and Blue Streak are different than KI? at Kings Island, it seems like there are only a couple clicks on rides like The Racer. On Blue Streak and Mean Streak there are many little clicks on the lap bar a lot more close together, instead of the 3 or 4 very spaced out clicks on The Racer and Beast at KI?

  4. ^ There are exceptions to everything. I am sure there were also kids that didn't like spongebob either. You can't please everybody. Overall, I have seen a lot of excited kids looking at the dinosaur by the fountain, getting pictures with the one by The Great Pumpkin Coaster, and excitedly jumping up and down watching the one in the glass display at the front gates, and the one by the entrance to DA!. Kids are going to love this, it's something different other than a ride, and it's something everybody can do.

  5. Have you been to the park lately though? SO many kids love to go up and get pictures with the characters, and their parents are telling them who they all are, and they kids are extremely excited! Then you have the crowd at 18- any age that remembers watching Peanuts specials and what not! Peanuts are for everybody!

  6. I would just bring it and ask them to fill it. If they end up saying that you can't use it for pop, at least you can use it for them to put free ice water into. Which would be way better than the tiny cups they normally give you when you ask for icewater

  7. Kings Island, The One and Only? The one and only WHAT? Every other Cedar Fair park says THEY are the one and only, too!

    ;)

Did I stutter? I meant to say "one" and not "fun"

    ;)

btw, it's cool if you support the park. It's just that....

    ....ich bin ein Dollywooder!

Well, the parks claim to be "The Fun and Only" not "The One and Only". Oh, and to answer your question, how many Kings Islands are there? Oh, what's that you say?...one? So....there's one and only Kings Island? So you could accurately say Kings Island, the one and only? Or even more accurately, The Fun and Only?

  8. Wow! It seems like the park is paying extra attention to making the park look great this year! Was that a large new circular planter built into the pathway in Coney Mall I saw, if so, then that is awesome! The landscaping was lacking there lately!

  9. If it's open, then awesome. If it's not, then oh well. It wouldn't be the first time a ride opening has been delayed.

All I have to point out is that they got all of the seats they have up now in less than 24 hours. So they could probably do the remaining ones in a couple hours once they finish up doing whatever they are doing in the tower. Then testing could be completed in 24 hours. It's still very "do able".

  10. Now I am beginning to doubt that WindSeeker will be finished on time. I mean, it's still doable, but I don't know if it will get done. i wonder what else still has to be done in the tower, that they need to leave those last few seats off.

Can they test the ride, so that it is certifiable by the state while it's raining? I don't see why they wouldn't be able to, but you never know.

Edit: I wonder what's with all the people standing there watching. I wonder if WindSeeker will be finished tonight?

  11. Well not counting the day it is on, and counting "days of waiting" then your countdown would be:

Saturday: 6 more days of waiting after today

Sunday: 5 more days of waiting after today

Monday: 4 more days of waiting after today

Tuesday: 3 more days of waiting after today

Wednesday: 2 more days of waiting after today

Thursday: 1 more day of waiting after today

Friday: 0 more days of waiting after today.

So in a way, it makes perfect sense lol

  12. That's not going to be there the whole season, is it?

I sure hope not! That thing is just as much of an eyesore as the one by the road! It would be a shame to have something repulsive like this blocking the view

of the beautiful fountains! I didn't like the Paramount logo blocking them back in the day, either. When you come into the park, you should be dazzled by

the majesty of the fountains shooting up into the sky! Not seeing some repulsive looking dinosaur! I will add that to my list of complaints that I am taking

in with me on opening day!

Dinosaurs, did they really exist anyway? If they did, they didn't live 350 million years ago, as Kings Island's "fun facts" would lead you to believe! The earth did not

even exist that long ago, so how could dinosaurs?

I would beg to differ, but I don't think this is the place to get into that argument. Maybe you would learn some cool scientific facts if you went through Dinosaurs Alive.

Anyway, yea it does seem like a nice photo op, and it doesn't seem to block the view of the fountain. It is more off to the side. I can't wait to see more of Dinosaurs Alive. It seems like a really cool educational experience that is fun too!

  13. They could get the chairs on by wednesday for all we know, and begin testing by thursday, and build the line as they are running the tests each day, and have the whole ride done and ready to go by opening day. I remember watching a roller coaster show about the building of Kingda Ka and their crews stayed there 24 hours to get the testing done, I am sure the same could be done for WindSeeker.
