  1. Per Cedar Points site: http://www.cedarpoin...point_perks.cfm

    • Millennium Force (must be 48" tall to ride)
    • Raptor (must be 54" tall to ride)
    • Maverick (must be 52" tall to ride)
    • Iron Dragon (must be 46" tall to ride)
    • Planet Snoopy (seven rides - height requirements vary)

These are the early rides available at CP for ONE HOUR (as they put it) everyday.

Notice that 4 of their premier coasters are offered. and 11 total rides are available as ERT for pass holders.

Versus 1 flat and one neck shaker from 1987? Vortex is fun occassionaly but definately NOT a KI premier coaster! and not one that will bring tourists in from out of town.

I wonder if KI will offer refunds to all of us that bought Gold Passes last year under false pretenses?

Most tourists from out of town wouldn't have gold passes anyway.....

  2. Do you guys really think they would post a picture of a service road plan on the internet? And why would they need a service road to go over the area where Trail of Terror, is, it would serve no purpose, there are already service roads right near there.

And, I wouldn't say the land where it is at/ the Trail of Terror area is steep. It's relatively flat, and if they are building a rollercoaster, it can fit to the terrain, it's not like it HAS to be completely flat...

  3. I also darkened the image and changed the contrast, and i could see yellow highlighter marks, or what appeared to be highlighter marks, along the line of Action Theater in the diagram.

EDIT: On the left diagram by the way

  4. So far, it has been confirmed that Action Theater will not close.

On the subject of WindSeeker's queue, if you drew a line straight down the center of that section of Coney Mall. To me, it appears that WindSeeker is more toward the bathrooms than Vortex's exit. So why would they cut all the way across the path, toward Vortex's exit to make the queue? That would bottleneck the Action Theater traffic around WindSeeker toward the space in between te bathrooms and WindSeeker. That wouldn't make much sense. And the queue would cut off the exit of Action Theater?...

  5. 2h3u2ys.jpg

    BLACK hexagon= WindSeeker

    RED dot= exit of WindSeeker

    YELLOW dot= entrance of WindSeeker

    BLUE= queue area

and the blue queue area could be extended back along the bathrooms. This is just an idea of how it could be

  6. WindSeeker isn't really in the middle, it's more off to the side toward the bathrooms. They could easily put the queue towards the bathrooms and racer hills. Then have the exit go directly out onto the midway, similar to the exit of Drop Tower into the Action Zone plaza. Maybe I'll draw up a picture to explain what I mean

  7. Not to mention, the state of Ohio inspected Son of Beast after that woman had the supposed burst blood vessel (that she reported 2 weeks after riding Son of Beast. So there's no proof that Son of Beast actually caused her burst blood vessel), and after inspecting the ride, they declared it safe to re-open. It was Kings Island's own choice to close it. Either to make improvements, demolish it, or do nothing. According to them....they still haven't decided yet...

  8. If only I started college sooner than this coming Fall, if I was already in college, I would have applied for that Marketing Internship in a heartbeat, since in the fall I am going to be in the Media Informatics program at NKU. It's basically a major that incorporates aspects from a Media major, such as graphic design, web design, 2D 3D animation, but then also shows uses for it to convey a message. Maybe they will still offer that position next year around this time.

  9. Not to mention, they already had the webcams up, it's not like they have to install new ones (unless something happened to the old ones). I would think it would be pretty simple to get them back up and running.

  10. I wonder why they don't put it in the grassy area where the laser tag building was. It seems like the perfect spot, and since parks comes up with their plans for new additions a couple years before, you would think that when they decided to install WindSeeker, is when they also took out the laser tag building...to put it there.

  11. Well, when I was there they always had glasses, so maybe that was just a one time occurence for you.

That's good to know...it really was odd when we were there...I am used to some full trays sitting around...we stood there until a girl came in with a messily half filled tray. Maybe someone was sick that day! :)

    If only 5@5 still existed....

I STILL miss that so much...but let's face it, we still may not have got a straight answer.

That is really weird that they didn't have enough ready, that they made you guys wait, so they could get a half full tray. Maybe they will order some new glasses this offseason, IF Action Theater remains open. You would think, that with them upgrading Coney Mall, and putting WindSeeker back there, they wouldn't want a closed ride back there, just sitting there.

  12. Well, there is more room over where the dome was,so I would guess that the ride would be where laser tag was, then the queue would wrap behind the bathrooms, to that area where the construction picture was taken. I guess we shall see soon enough, when more substantial construction begins!
