It was one small piece of plywood, so I wouldn't get your hope up. I am also just pointing out that it was there. I am in no way saying that people actually heard work going on over there, that is just what someone told me.
-
I was there a couple days ago, and there was plywood in the station leaning up against a railing, and I heard from other people that a couple days before that, they could hear people working only in the station of Son of Beast...

So is ValleyFair and Michigan's Adventure. I think...
And I'm working Haunt for the first time this year I am so pumped.
Michigans Adventure doesn't even do a event tho.
And you working it? Wanna be my rookie? kjkjkj was last year, aha.
Thank god I was your rookie! I would have been so lost if you didn't answer my 5,000,000,000 questions I had! My supervisor didn't even tell me where to go on the first day of rehearsals, you did!
-
I am going to miss working with my group of hillbillies in Trail of Terror. I had a lot of fun there! Sadly I am not returning to work at Haunt this year as far as I know. I may make my return someday though! hahaha. I don't know if anyone remembers me from Trail of Terror, but I was in the exploding port o potty section. I stood agains a tree and made myself look like a prop. I occasionally had a chain on my arm from a tree.

Has anyone made it up to the park for one of the midnight Saturdays? We are going to get there in the evening and stay until midnight. So does anyone know what the crowds were like from about 5pm-12am?
-
Although this isn't really relevant with the land clearing, but I rode Adventure Express yesterday and I could see both SoB's trains sitting on the ground near it's station. They were uncovered. I think some people thought they had been moved somewhere else other than near SoB, but they are still there!
-
Every generation has it's own fads..nothing really new there. Anybody remember Slap Bracelets, Pogs, Koosh Balls, Beanie Babies....the list goes on
-
I agree, it is still a very fun ride. I was just pointing out that it would be an even better ride if it swung a little higher
-
I didn't mean to cause such a commotion! I specifically remember there being a topic on KIC, after the ride reopened from the 2005 part replacement. This topic showed two videos, where you could clearly see the difference between "old" Delirium and "new" Delirium.
Although these are not the same videos from that old KIC topic, because I don't have time to search for that topic, compare these two videos
Watch this video, taken and uploaded in 2008.
Then watch this entire video, it is shot from many different angles, but on some parts it shows it at it's highest swing from a similar angle to the first video I posted. This video is from 2003. It appears as though it is swinging much much higher.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmtaxIX2zjQ
EDIT: I think some people are slightly confused earlier in the topic. I meant the ride swung higher in 2003. Then in 2005, it had major downtime and a part replacement. When it reopened after the 2005 part replacement, it swung lower than it had in previous years. And my final point was that it currently swings the height it did after the 2005 part replacement
-
Maybe after this repair, they will actually getting it swinging as high as it used to when it first opened.
-
No problem, I'd be interested to see what the prize is if anyone goes with a group that does this

sent an email to KI here is the response:
Thank you for your question and your interest in the park. The Beast Challenge is a team building activity that Kings Island offers for company group visits. It’s a leadership building program. If you have any additional questions or concerns, you can contact us at 513-754-5700.
Thank you,

There are more of those metal poles, across from the exit of Boo Blasters on Boo Hill.
-
Hmm, why is it called that? Because the park wanted to incorporate the characters they just added to the park, and capatalize on them in all ways possible, and the show will feature character displays. .....not rocket science.
-
What don't you understand about the point of this is to bring now things to the table, bring up new suggestions, and improve the park as a whole? If people want to volunteer their time at the park (most of these people are at the park quiet often anyway) then they can if they want to.
-
Yeah, it was a lot of fun, can't wait to go again!
-
I still want to help out and fix ride theming/lanscape. Did you talk to the park yet?
If the park wants to do it, then what's the big deal?
-
Well Flight of Fear has it's video turned back on they even had the part playing where the show a live feed of the guests in the queue.
-
Really enjoyed it guys! Glad to finally meet you, but only saw you once in the park.
Nice to meet you too!
Quite a few people who do trip reports seem to have their own little "specialty"...in your case I think what you excel in with your reports is that you are able to show just how much fun you guys have when you go to the park. That is what I enjoy the most about your reports.
For someone so young you have a VERY diverse musical taste...that usually comes with age! Even though I have worked in a record store for years I can't say as I had ever heard Raffi until now! (I will also add that not only have I seen Danny & The Juniors in concert...but Guns N' Roses...so I also try to be diversified.)
Your photos are a lot of fun to see...and I liked your downward shot of the tower.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks! We try hard to capture how much fun we have at the park.
I do have a very diverse music taste, with so much good music from different time periods and different genres, how can you not have a diverse musical taste and enjoy music? When we pick out music for our slideshow videos, we pick music we like, that also captures the fun-ness (I just mad up a word lol) of the trip.
Thanks for all the compliments! We are glad you enjoyed watching/reading our trip reports!
Nice vid could tell you guys had a blast.Me and the wife wanted to go all weekend no kids yeah but poor weather all around boo
If the weather isn't severe then I say go for it! It usually means no lines at all the rides, as long as they are open.
-
Cool video, and I'm glad I watched all 20 minutes of it so I didn't miss anything like the "LOL" about half way through! Also, really liked some of the pictures you got from the Tower and in Planet Snoopy - I'm a big fan of the "Good Grief" sign and think they've done a great job with the re-theme.
Thanks for sharing.
Yeah it is a very long video, thanks for watching all 20 minutes of it!
I missed both of you all too... I didn't get to the park till pretty late though. Glad to see you all had a good time. Nice shots of the park too.
There's always next time! We did have a really great time.
Very well done! Times with your family are always very special!
Thanks!
-
Thanks! Last weekend's weather was nice, except for the cold temps.
-
By the way, comments are appreciated! Isn't it weird how toward the end of the video how the firework almost synch up to the Top Gun Anthem? It's almost as if it was meant to be that way
-
Thanks!
It's weird, we didn't see you guys either! We met up with KICers throughout the day, but normally it wasn't for an extended time period. Everyone kind of went off and did their own thing.
-
My sister Ashley (Ashers on KIC) and I went to Kings Island on opening day!

That ride looks pretty intense! Especially being that high up in the air!
