EDIT: here is my post from the other topic I think that's why I rarely post here anymore. People were complaining about trees getting torn down. I try and bring up a valid point that maybe you just couldn't see the trees in the picture, and they were just barely out of the frame (I mean, you can clearly see their shadown in that other construction picture\) and what do people do? They completely ignore my post and continue complaining about trees getting removed, that may have not even have been removed at all?

I loved Mantis. Rode in the front row last time I was at CP, it was my first standup, and it was awesome!

How do you guys even know they removed the trees right there? In the construction pic, it is taken at a slight angle looking toward subway. Look at the overhead shot that TG1993 posted. Those trees near the lamp posts in that particular midway center "island" are a few feet away from the lamp posts. They might just be out of the picture!

Great pictures Amy! KI FANATIC: Wolf Pack is a pretty lame Haunt. It's really short, too brightly lit, and the people didn't really seem to care all that much.

Picture if Festhaus was like Hofbräuhaus in Newport, KY. A fun exciting german themed environment. With a live polka band, people cheering, and having fun. They serve german food and beer there, and it is pretty packed all the time. If they do Americanized German food, then it would sell well.

Wow. The Beast was amazing with the "surprises"!!! When I rode it last night, it was one of the best rides on The Beast I have had in years.

It would probably be a three way tie for me between Skyline, Festhaus LaRosa's pizza, and Juke Box Diner

The Six Flag's incident is why there are now strictly enforced safety and fire codes on haunted attractions. It is also probably why there is an entire day of training at Haunt rehearsals about how to handle a situation if there is a fire in your attraction.

Well I say you go and enjoy what you like out of the aspects of Haunt at KI. If you don't want to go to Half Pint Brawlers, then don't, and go see something that interests you more. I know I won't be at Half Pint Brawlers, but I will definitely be at all the other haunted attractions and and riding rides in the park. Now if you don't like any aspect of Haunt at all, well the best thing I can recommend for you is try to avoid the roamers because there isn't THAT many of them, and just ride rides. Nobody is forcing you to watch the shows or go through the Haunts.....

Well, it's really annoying when people behind you want to rush through the whole thing and then you end up right behind another group. Better to be slow and cautious and make the hour you spent in line worth it.

If I read Terpy's post correctly (probably not, this is pretty much just what I WANT it to say lol) it says that since Cedar Fairs rides for 4 of the 2011 park additions are relatively cheap, and Cedar Fair didn't even make Cedar Points taller or faster so it is the same price, and the extra money could be put toward a "Texas Giant" style redo of Son of Beast. That's just my wishful thinking though lol

I love this time of year! Nice to see the park starting to set things up for Haunt.

I would love for them to play more Nox Arcana songs, even though they play quiet a few. Also if anybody could help me out in finding this one song from Trail of Terror. It was played in the section right after the doll section. It was played in the section with the exploding port-o-potty. I used to work in that section, and it would bring back a lot of funny memories and inside jokes if I could fin the music. I remember one part was a girl saying "stop.no! stop. The trees are alive!!" then a male voice would go "aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh shooomba shume." LOL. That's the best way I could describe it

As for the person that said "this isn't like Zephyr 300 feet in the air, it's more like Linus Launcher" Your telling me Linus Launcher wouldn't be thrilling 300 feet off the ground? When I first heard the rumor about Cedar Point getting a Star Flyer/ WindSeeker. I was talking to my sister about it and I even said that I wished Kings Island would get one of those, it sounds like a lot of fun, and thrilling too! If you think the ride is going to be boring and a waste of space, then by all means stay out of line when it opens so that us people that want to ride it don't have to wait as long.

I think it was just plotted wrong on the interactive park map. My guess is it is going exactly where Eurobobbles are/ Flight commander was.

I am extremely excited for WindSeeker! It is going to be a ride that Kings Island has needed for a while. We have been lacking in flats, and this fills the spot perfectly. From the looks of the animation video and those cgi concept pictures, it looks like it will be in Flight Commanders spot, or at least on the left side of coney mall. If you look in the animation, it is basically right where the two sides of The Racer meet back up after separating for the turn around, which would be the left side of Coney Mall. Does this make any sense? lol

I instantly thought we would be getting a Wind Seeker when I first got the KIC text at school today. It fits the description well, and they are relatively cheap compared to something like Diamondback.

The audio was working for it when I rode it on Tuesday. Or at least I thought it was working lol

I just wanted to let everyone know, the fog effect was working on Tuesday August 17th. The skeletons were also "shreiking" and moving again in the last part. For a while there I was worried that they would never turn the fog effect back on!

If you are talking about the park logo on the arch, it doesn't look like it was made to be permanent. It actually kind of sticks out compared to the other parts of the cave entrance. It could easily be taken down at the end of Haunt. I mean, look what they did with Stunt Crew Grill last year.They built an entire maze through the outdoor eating section! Many people thought that they would leave those walls up, and SCG wouldn't reopen this season. Well, the walls got taken down and SCG reopened...

^ I would gladly wait through those completely full to ride Son of Beast if it were open.
