I just realized how cool the view from WindSeeker will be! We will get views of rides from a completely new perspective!

First off, I'm not your friend. Secondly, because you are a Tomb Raider fanboy and nothing good as ever came from Tomb Raider. Even if you disagree with somebody's views, then that's fine, but why be so rude about it. GYK makes good points and suggestions, and makes good contributions to these forums. People on this website should be "fanboys" of the park and the rides. We are on a Kings Island FAN forum, in case you didn't notice. And another thing, if you have the time to claim that there is so much misinformation in this thread, then you should have the time to explain what information is wrong, instead of just making vague posts that don't add anything to the discussion what so ever

Don't overdress either though! For a seasonal position in the park, it wouldn't be appropriate to wear a suit and tie. lol

That's my point though....there were never any waterfalls on the old map. Just rocks. On the new map there are waterfalls

Well said guys! And speaking of Tower Gardens On the 2010 map, it was still depicted as Paramount Story was. A little mountain with a car infront of it, and some other rocks. On the 2011 Map, that they found in the Math and Science packet, it is depicted as the mountain, with waterfalls. In the 2010 Paramount style map, there are no waterfalls to be seen. In the new one, there are. Could this be an indication of them bringing back the water? Maybe, but i figured i would point it out.

It will even create excitement this year, for those of us who have ridden it in the past since nobody knows what changes there have been to the ride cycle, it will be a mystery to all of us, since the ride will no longer be visible. I can't wait to see The Crypt on opening day! If they do a good job with the theme and improve the ride cycle I will be SO happy!

This is the door from the preshow room to the ride chamber right? Not the Antechamber to the preshow room?

Is the new Crypt, just a walk through into a boarded up dead end with no escape? If it is, it owuld still be more exciting than last year! Seriously though, whatever they are doing looks pretty cool! I wonder if the wooden door raises up for guests to walk though, then on the far left side it is blocked by stones, because there is no need for guests to walk though that part anymore since that row doesn't exist

Alien Encounter was such a cool ride! I rode it when I was about 10 years old, and it's a ride I will never forget!

Generally the 4-D theaters have real...."effects" such as mist spraying, smells, touch.

That information on the braking system was posted here a while back, not even in this topic. I believe it was posted by Interpreter. He is a member known for being truthful, so I wouldn't think that he would make it up. I guess we will see in...(let me check my countdown) 27 days 21 hours and 13 minutes, what the "new" Crypt will be like

As I have heard on here before, paramount decided to go with a different braking system on Tomb Raider The Ride, than what was recommended by HUSS. I wonder if the braking system that was supposed to have been installed on the ride, could be put in now. Maybe this would allow for more reliability and a more intense ride cycle, without it falling apart? I hope so!

I think he was posting it iin this thread to point out that Son of Beast isn't on it. Which would be appropriate in this thread.

LOL they have Eurobungee on the new map instead of Eurobobbles. And you can't say the map is TOTALLY treeless. There are three little palm trees in Boomerang Bay, and a certain Kite Eating Tree in Planet Snoopy

I like the map, sure it isn't perfect, but the rides ( for the most part) are more accurate than they were on the paramount style map. For those of you complaining about Adventure Express's layout not being right, and you hate the new map etc... Look at Adventure Express on the old map! It's just as badly drawn! Then you have Vortex on the old map where the train is going the WRONG DIRECTION on the tracks!

Well you have to admit, if Son of Beast were to be put back on the map, it would definitely be an indication of it's future. I don't think they would put it back on the map if they weren't doing SOMETHING with it. Whether that means putting it on the map and writing " Look for a new and improved Son of Beast in 2012" or just putting it back on because it is reopening.

I loved the Spongebob film when it was newer, but it's time is up. A lot of people are getting bored with the movie, and it is time for something new and exciting.

It's been like that since WindSeeker was announced...

What would be the purpose of having the control box up there though, I wonder?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, Kings Island will open the first Mondial WindSeeker model ride, all the other WindSeekers being installed at other Cedar Fair parks will open after ours

Can't wait to make this my first ride of 2011!! The ERT for WindSeeker is for everyday of the season, right? Including opening day?

from the webcam, it appeared that there were people inside the tower, maybe to help guide the next piece into place?
