Pretty sure they are just taking what people say on KIC and putting it on screamscape...

Dinosaurs To Roam At Cedar Point?

Am I the only one who is sad that Paddlewheel Excursion could possibly be removed? -
We need some new body slides, and possibly a water coaster. What Boomerang Bay REALLY needs is a ride similar to Hidden Rapids at The Beach Waterpark! That attraction is my favorite one there lol
-
I was really nervous too, it was my first job interview! Just relax, listen to what they ask you, and try to have fun too! They want energetic and enthusiastic people for Haunt!
-
funny how one word missing can change a whole sentence. I believe dudecoasterman was missing the word "modern" in his sentence, since there were many many looping roller coasters well before Son of Beast

Well, if you want to learn, KIC is the place to be! I would suggest reading this timeline http://www.KICentral.com/history/timeline.php You will really learn a lot about Kings Island and it's past.

All the makeup artists seemed really happy while doing their job, and seemed to enjoy their work. You's also be surprised at what they can do in that short amount of time (5 minutes may be an estimate, it really just depends) I think if you are interested, you should give it a shot!
-
As a former Haunt monster, here is how we got makup applied to us. We waited in a big line until an artist opened up. We go, sit in that artist's chair, and they do all our makeup, then once you are done, you are done. The monsters in the haunts makup takes like 5 minutes to do, but I think the roamers' makeup takes longer.

What do you mean? No one and nothing is off limits at Kings Island's Haunt, after all. Be they dead, alive, or somewhere in between! All's fair game. And I highly, highly doubt Kings Island's Haunt will be an up-charge this year. If it is, it will be free for season pass holders. How do I know? Because season pass holders were told that was a perk of their passes, and if the park tries to change it now, it won't last long before the paying customer forces them to come to their senses. Remember last year when they decided that everyone needed to vacate the park for an hour, then return for Haunt starting at 7 PM? Many of us here were struck by how unlikely that was to actually happen, and lo and behold, it did not happen. I can see a loophole though. Kings Island technically promised free admission into the Halloween Haunt event, not free admission into each house... If they stooped that low though, it would be pretty stupid of them.

I would be really mad if they ended up doing that. I know tons of season pass holders would be pretty angry!

Slightly off topic, but last year for our Trick or Treaters, we set up an entire haunted trail in our front yard. It was very similar to Trail of Terror theme wise, but not in the same order. It started off in a cemetery, then you moved up into an area with a cannibalistic hillbilly ready to eat you, with human body parts roasting over a fake fire. Then there was a "blair witch" section. It had blair witch dolls hanging from the trees, and an animatronic witch stirring a cauldron saying incantations. Then there was the doll section. One of the best sections of the trail! There were dozens of mutulated creepy dolls hanging from the trees, and we had someone dressed up as a full life sized doll, and there was creepy doll music playing. Then after that section you moved into the circus tent area, an area filled with balloons, carnival flags, and a creepy clown ready to jump out and scare you! Then finally, you go through the corn section. The path was closely lined with 7 foot tall cornstalks, and I hid along the edge, completely still, with my arms straight out. I was dressed as a warped creepy scarecrow. I pretended to be just a fake prop, and then I jumped out and scared people. Then you exited out onto our driveway. After people got scared by me, many of them went tearing down our driveway! lol Here is a short video from when we were creating the weird warped scary dolls I'll post some pics here in a second EDIT: here they are These are from when we were getting stuff set up, if I can find the ones that were from when everything is done, maybe I will start a new topic and post all of those, and maybe a video.

They used to have a "cutting in line" system for Gold Pass members too, and it all worked out. Also, wouldn't the people "cutting" be in line anyway? so it shouldn't really affect the time considerably. $50= good price that will limit the number of people using system, so wait times for other guests aren't dramatically increased <$50 means more people would be using it, and that would actually mean longer wait times. The park offers a VIP tour, that has front of the line passes, and not many people on here seem to be blowing up about that.
-
Maybe the $50 amount is so that a huge amount of people don't do it, that way people waiting in line don't get angry when 30 guests go to the front of the line.

It is so hard that I never put it on the channel in the first place. Never watched one second of any of those crap shows. Reality crap doesn't appeal to me in the slightest due to that horrible scripting and acting. As long as you enjoy the garbage though they will continue making it. MTV should be pulled from the airwaves and brought back under a new name since it has nothing to do with Music any more. It worked well for the channel formerly known as The Nashville Network. Well, I rarely watch MTV, I'm just saying, if you don't like it then don't watch it, because chances are someone else likes it, and wouldn't be happy if it was removed. Oh, and there is this magical invention called the internet, where you can find any music video...there's probably a reason MTV stopped playing music videos during primetime hours. Oh and they still play music really early in the morning last time I checked.
-
I really hope that if they put it on millennium island, they don't close Paddlewheel Excursions, that ride is a nice relaxing way to get good views of the coasters, and to just take a minute to relax.
-
Well, my motto comes in handy yet again...if you don't like it, then don't do it. If you don't like the shows on MTV then don't watch them, an entire network shouldn't have to be removed because you don't like it. I'm sure it is just sooo difficult to press the arrow button on your remote to go to the next channel.

Starlight Spectacular @ Canada's Wonderland

Wow, that looks amazing! -
Maybe by a DA expansion, they meant the re-addition of the dinosaur that burnt down at the beginning of the season, the biggest one on the trail...

There are fog machines in the queue for Flight of Fear, that could be turned on for a cool effect, and I believe in the first UFO room, where the blue light up map thing is, there are misters all around the room, that could also be turned on. Mist in Adventure Express's tunnels could be turned back on Tower Gardens ponds refilled or at least fill them in and plant flowers or something!

WindSeeker didn't run at all today...

People seem to think Tomb Raider: The Ride went from what it looked like in 2002, then to The Crypt theme. It was falling apart and neglected in it's last years of Tomb Raider as well. Half the lights didn't work, the music system was off, or messed up half the time in it's last year as Tomb Raider the lava didn't shoot up as high, the fog didn't work anymore....

Just watched a POV on iSpeed, and something like that would be perfect! Or something similar to Maverick at Cedar Point. I love Maverick, the inversions on it are really smooth, and it proves that a ride doesn't have to be 200 feet tall to be extremely fun!

Sounds like you guys had a good time! On the subject of the photographers, you make it seem like they were holding you at gunpoint. All you have to do is let them take your picture once, then when other people ask you, just say, "we already got ours taken" then they move on to the next group. It's really not a big deal. They don't "force" you to get your picture taken, they try and persuade you, but I would never say force. About the safety pin, why not just throw it in the trash? Why would you give it to a security guard.....

I've gotten it in Planet Snoopy and Coney Mall (yes you can now get blue ice cream in the place that used to be Midway Treats & Eats) and each time it has been the new "icy" consistency. It is also a different shade of blue, almost a turquoise-ish kind of blue, instead of the baby blue color. Everyone else in my group who also got Blue Ice cream agreed that it was different than last year...
