It's probably just the lighting, but the logo looks extremely faded... Although it's not quiet as bad as the logos on Delirium lol

Theirs is almost totally flat, ours actually has depth, and stuff, on each of those little blocks on the ring, and ours has more than two colors.

thats kinda bad that the saddest day of your life is when The Racer is turned forward, but then again that might be considered a good thing...

If they are doing a complete "retheme" then they would have had plenty of time when the ride was down, to take out all the existing theming. Remember all the parts laying out by the doors, that you could see while on The Beast last season?... hmmmmm...

Well, after looking at pictures of Kings Dominions opening Day pictures, their Tomb Raider Still had a "Monkey statue". So will these stay on our Tomb Raider even though they are movie references?

In another topic, some members were saying that The Crypt aka Tomb Raider, will be totally different from last year. I figured they would just remove the least amount of theming as possible, then leave the rest in the ride. Will It still be the same exact ride? (Giant Topspin?) Will it have a new prgram? Will any new theming be attempted? and will it even come close to what TRTR was when it opened? Post your speculation, and info about THE CRYPT.

I think it would be really cool if they have one train on each side running backwards, that way you can have Two backwards racing, then two forwards. And if they close one side for less cowded days you would just wait and see if you will end up going backwards of forwards! I think that this would solve the problem of closing one side to save money AND it would satisfy the people who like backwards better.

I will like Kings Island still, no matter who owns it. I just don't like some decisions they've been making lately. Regardless, I don't own the park, and in the end I'm sure i'll end up liking what CF will do to the park. But as of right now i'm just a little angry that The Racers will be turned Forward, and I didn't mean to sound so bitter, I guess it's just the way it came out.

It only ran both sides forward for ten years! One has been running backwards for the last 25 years! Why change it back? Why don't they just put the dumb OTS restraints back on FoF with Cedar Fair's Logic, or better yet tear out every ride that has been added since 1972, so that KI is what it was when it first opened!?! This is not a change for turning the ride back into it's classic form. No, it's a way for Cedar Fair to be cheap, and only run one side during the week. If CF couldn't even handle the debt that they've gotten from buying the PPs then why did they do it? Now the park guests will have to suffer because CF bit off more than they could chew.

Yeah, I doubt it. They could have easily attempted to race them last year, but they didn't. If this is a cost issue, then I doubt they will even have both sides running except for on weekends. Why don't they just rip off the one tunnel on The Beast that wasn't enclosed untill after the ride had opened!?If they are going around with logic like that, oh lets take off everything on a ride that wasn't originally there when it opened! The Racer has been backwards for so long, most people don't even know they both used to go forward, changing now is pretty much stupid. They've been running all this time without any injuries. I HATE the forward side of The Racer, it's rough, jerky, and it felt like my spine was compressed

yeah but my point is, it may start out as turning both Racers forward, but what will they do next? MAYBE I went a little to far to say they were ruining the park, but they really aren't doing any better than CBS/paramount. Lets see, they stopped Winterfest without even giving it another chance to do better. It takes time for people to hear about events like winterfest. They are turning The Racer both sides forward. They will probably strip TRTR of most of it's cool theming. And they will probably end up destroying the atmosphere of Rivertown by filling in Swan Lake for the "2009 Coaster". So far i'm not too impressed by CF. But hopefully in time I will grow to like them owning my home park.

It's official, Cedar Fair is ruining the park. Oh, it may just start out as turning The Racer around. But whats next?! And for all the people who said "I'm glad they are changing it, forwards is better anyways" That is exactly why they should leave the backwards side BACKWARDS! You can ride your crappy rough back breaking forward side, while I would be enjoying awesome airtime on the backwards side! Oh and another reason they shouldn't do it is this. Think about it, when you ride The Racer forward, how short is the line? Almost always there is a pretty short line. Now imagine THAT line size spilt to both sides. you could practically get on in 1 cycle or less! I will probably only ride The Racer once every time I go from now on because the forward side is not worth a reride! I just wish someone else bought the park, or Paramount still owned (Not CBS, Paramount!)

If They're building ahuge coaster for '09, then they need to do something for publicity, to get things stirred up. And to get everyone excited. I remember the HUGE "animated" box they had for Son of Beast, where it would rattle, and growl. It was awesome! So who knows, maybe we'll see some of these "teasers" and ints as to whats coming in '09. Also, well said MasterofKI

yeah, because wouldn't they have to flip the brakes to the other side?, and The Racers have been going backwards for so long that most people probably don't even know that both sides ran forwards. So I think that they should keep it backwards, people say "oh I don't like backwards so I don't care if they switch it." Thats the point! People who want to go backwards ride backwards, and people who ride forwards, ride forwards! Racer Forwards never has too long of a line, so if they divided that line up into 2 seperate lines! you could get on after like 2 trains practically all the time!

I was really little, and me and my dad were on Taxi Jam, all the other cars made it into the station so everybody else could get out, but me and my dad were in the last car, and it was just sticking like a foot or two out of the station. They wouldn't let us off though, because it was a saftey hazard, so we were stuck there for like 15 mins.
