  1. I would be surprised and disappointed if the new name for The Italian Job didn't make some mention of Los Angeles/L.A. It is the perfect name to fit the theme. The rest of the rides can easily be re-named. For example, Top Gun can be called Navy Pilot. And I am mighty curious about Tomb Raider. It is really themed after the movie. But the pre-show film can be removed or replaced and the name of the ride can be "TREASURE HUNTRESS". We'll see. Best regards, Italian Chef
  2. The last 2 years I had a guest during the KIC events. I hope that next year I won't so that I can make it.
  3. KI should surely lower the prices of the beverages. They are TOO TOO high. $3+ for a bottle of water??? As far as the food is concerned; price, selection and quality can surely use improvement.
  4. Selling Star Trek The Experience makes more sense than keeping it. Star Trek doesn't fit the CF label and the cash would surely help.
  5. All names to change? AWESOME!!!!
  6. According to Ryan's post, the Paramount names will change. I wonder if all of them will change or just some of them. Here are all the Paramount names: Rides: Tomb Raider: The Ride Top Gun Days of Thunder Face/Off Congo Falls Drop Zone The Italian Job Stunt Coaster Eateries: Wings Diner Happy Days Diner Bubba Gump Shrimp Shack Lieutenant Dan's Bar I hope that CF changes ALL of the names and not just some of them. We'll see. Any ideas? Italian Chef
  7. No more Paramount names??? AWESOME!!! Now I can get on rides that I've ridden before and pretend that they are new rides. New experiences! Besides, I'm tired of Paramount. Best regards, Italian Chef
  8. All of the above. I love the coasters and rides first. But I also the atmosphere - even I'm just walking around. And I also enjoy the shows. The food I like least at KI. There are certain items like the blueberry ice cream that are great. But the overall food service can use some major improvement. Best regards, Charles
  9. No update on the monorail. It is outside, not running, and no one inside knows anything.
  10. Today my family visited WonderPark at the Cincinnati Mills mall for the first time. I purchased am ride pass for my son for $12. It came with $3 worth of game tokens and allowed me to ride with him. My son and I rode Boa Squeeze about 10 times. It is a small, steal coaster maybe 200 feet long with an 8 foot hill. It was bumpy and hurt my back. But we had fun. We also rode the flying tigers once. It is a ride like Blue's Skidoo. We sat in a tiger that made circular motions in the air. Also, we rode the Centipede once. I am TOO big for it, but my 3-year old son wanted me to ride with him. So I squeezed in a car in back of my son. And my son played video games. We had lunch at Pizza di Roma in the Cincinnati Mills Mall. The pizza was excellent and we enjoyed the scenery of the mall. Afterward we drove to Jungle Jim's, where we bought $130 worth of ethnic foods and wines. While there we enjoyed the free food samples (offered every Saturday) and the animatronic shows, such as Elvis the lion. It was my son's first time at Jungle Jim's and he really enjoyed it. Overall, it was a great day. Even with Kings Island closed, we still manage to have fun. Best regards, Italian Chef
  11. That would not be practical. Sure, I'd stay late at night if I were stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. But from a business perspective, it would not be practical.
  12. By my count, Greater Cincinnati now has 3 outdoor and 2 indoor water parks. Which one is your favorite and why?
  13. It was quite crowded due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Still, I don't think that I waited for than 15 or 20 minites for any water slide.
  14. On Friday my family checked into Mason's Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend. We stayed in a Wolf Den Suite, which was great for my son. He had a private area with bunk beds and his own TV. He loved it and slept on both beds. We checked in before 12 p.m. and had lunch at the Camp Critter Bar and Grille. I had a quesedia, my wife had a burger, and my son had kid's chicken bucket - that came in a metal buchet!!!Our food was excellent and the portions were large enough for us to have leftovers for our room - which had a refrigerator and microwave. We then headed to our room to unpack. My wife and (3.5 year old son) took a nap, so I hit Bear Track Landing (the water park) alone. I rode Hydro Plunge (the water roller coaster), Coyote Cannon (a toilet bowl type of tube slide) and nearly all the other slides. After that I went to my room, showered, and headed to THE BEACH WATER PARK'S HOLIDAY FEST operning night. I wrote a trip report about it already. Then my family headed back to the GWL and hit Bear Track Landing again. I played with Little Chef in the kid's area of the water park. Next we headed to the Rhythm of Nature animatronic, musical show. Then we played in Nothern Lights Arcade. The next day we got breakfast from Bear Claw Cafe and later lunch from Pizza Hut. That day we hit Bear Track Landing 3 times!!! I did every water slide at the water park - all 8 for adults (4 tube, 1 water roller coaster, 1 raft, and 2 Totem pole body slides), enjoyed the Lazy Creek with my family (all 3 of us fit in a 2-person tube), played basketball in the water, enjoyed the sauna water, played in the kiddie area with my son, and had an AWESOME time. Plus we had an awesome dinner with White Zinfendel wine at The Loose Moose Cottage. My wife really enjoyed the shrimp and crab legs at the buffet. We made it back to the Rythm of Nature show - and I purchased gifts for my family at the Buckhorn Exchange. We even visited Iron Horse Fitness Center. This morning we checked out and returned home. The Great Wolf is such an awesome place, that we were sad to leave. Best regards, Italian Chef We got to bed late
  15. Fewer animals in the zoo? How about fewer books in the library, too? And less food in the supermarket? What abou fewer clothes in the department store?
  16. I can't wait! My family visited The Columbus Zoo for the first time this year. It is much nicer, cleaner, and in a safer area than my local zoo. Even the food is good! So is the live entertainment. I loved it so much that I would move to Columbus and take a full-time marketing job at the Columbus Zoo. So, with the coming of Zoombezi Bay, I can only imagine how much more awesome this facility will be. Best regards, Italian Chef
  17. I'd like to see videos on the www.pki.com. I mean videos of the rides in action, past shows, and maybe, just maybe TV series that featured Kings Island.........such as The Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family. Am I dreaming? Italian Chef
  18. Tonight my family went to Holiday Fest at The Beach Water Park. We enjoyed the parade that passed through before the opening ceremony. Live musicians in period clothing played music at the entrance while we waited to enter the park. Once in, I enjoyed the Christmas decorations and music. Little Chef rode several kiddie rides including the cars. All 3 of us rode the paddle boats, which was an exercise in frustration as our boat always ended up sideways. We ate junk food (quesedias and hot dogs) for dinner at the park. Then we enjoyed seeing animals and trains before leaving. It got too cold. I'd like to return in the daylight so that I can enjoy more of Holiday Fest. Best regards, Italian Chef
  19. I thought about going there, but opted for GWL instead. When my family goes to the GWL, only its guests will use the water park. But at CoCokey, the guests from 2 hotels plus day pass people can use the water park. Hence, I estimate that the water park will be more densely populated than the GWL.
  20. Greetings, I ran into an article about Holiday Fest at The Beach Water Park. It seems like a great place to go in the winter without WinterFest around anymore. http://www.pulsejournal.com/hp/content/oh/...familymain.html Best regards, Italian Chef
  21. An Action Theater film based on a baseball movie? LAME! LAME! LAME!
  22. Will Bill have any book signing at Kings Island? I think that he should, as well as other book, stores in Greater Cincinnati.
  23. I look forward to seeing the new sign next year - if not sooner. Best regards, Charles
  24. For me, it'll be many more visits to the Cincinnati Museum Center for my son. But we will make our THIRD trip to the Great Wolf Lodge this month for my wife's birthday. And I plan to sleep later on weekends and watch more TV and DVD movies at night with Kings Island closed. I'm also planning on taking my son to WonerPark at least once so that he (a 3-year old) can ride the tiny roller coaster. Best regards, Charles
  25. I live in Kentucky.
