  1. I would say $10-$15 for gold pass holders and $20-$25 for non-pass holders.
  2. Greetings, I am thinking about visiting KI and dislike crowds. Do you think Monday will be as busy as Sunday or less crowded? Please let me know based on your experiences and/or other reliable information. Best regards, Italian Chef
  3. The headline is very misleading, possibly unethical. As an editor or journalist, I wouldn't have used it.
  4. Too bad none of those models are full-figured. I don't find skinny women very appealing.
  5. As far as I'm concerned, SOB is an SOB. Tear it down! Out with woodie and in with a steal!
  6. That is a terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. On a side note, I have visited South Korea and Lotte World - its biggest amusement park, which is all indoors. I was impress with the nation, its food, culture, temples, and amusement park. This horrible accident doesn't reflect on South Korea any more than an accident - such as SFKK - reflects on the United States.
  7. I voted for prices - and only because of the beverage prices. Everything else seems standard for the industry.
  8. How about a retirement party for Drop Zone and Son of Beast? And let's say we bring in a new, steal, smooth coaster to replace them?
  9. I voted for more mazes. They are the highlight of FearFest.
  10. Wow! I am surprised that anyone remembers Kenton's Cove. It seems like it disappeared many ages ago.
  11. I would take out Son of Beast. How many more lawsuits and injuries will Kings Island tolerate until the park finally removes this troubled wooden coaster?
  12. Sorry I meant 8/18 Saturday. It was so packed yesterday.
  13. Yesterday I went to the park with my wife and son. It was super-crowded. Never had I see such long lines to the rides, to get photographed with SpongeBob, or even use the bathroom. All we ended up doing was riding the Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad to purchase clothes at Boomerang Bay. Ironically there were few people there - but we didn't bring our bathing suites! Hence, we left the park.
  14. Tonight I visited Kings Island with one of my friends, who I used to work with. First we rode Top Gun in the front car, which gave us a grand view of the Great Wolf Lodge. Next we rode Flight of Fear, which had a relatively long line. It seems like the preview video got tweaked a bit. Has anyone noticed? After that we rode Zephyr, which was fun. This experience was followed by an awesome ride on The Beast. The ride was smooth, the scenery was beautiful, and the wood had an agreeable aroma. Next we rode The forwards Racer, Adventure Express, Viking Fury, and the Carousel. Then I bought some clothes for my son and me at Emporium before leaving. It was a pleasant evening. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
  15. I THINK that I read on this website that Blackstone was amongst the bidders. But I STILL think that CF paid TOO much.
  16. I recall reading that PP could be bought for as little as $900 million. Hence, I thought that CF was over-charged. Did they get stuck with an inflated price because of a bidding war?
  17. I voted for Arrow even though they are out of business because I like their coasters.
  18. Mary attended the 5:30 ice show with Mrs. Chef. I had to leave early because Toddler Chef wanted to run.
  19. Today I visited Kings Island with my friend Mary, who portrayed a jedi knight in The Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith. She was in town and wanted me to show her Kings Island. First we rode Firehawk - and it was awesome! I loved flying and Mary enjoyed the comfort of the ride. Next came Flight of Fear, which seamed faster than usual. The video recording wasn't functioning. We then rode the forwards Racer - which is always fun. Then we rode Rugrats Runaway Reptar and then headed to Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. Mary and I tied each other with 840 points. It was the first tie of my life. We then rode Sponge Bob Squarepants 3D, Adventure Express, had lunch, and then went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. We also saw the ice show and rode the KIAMV Railroad. Though Mary has traveled to many places, she was impressed with our park. May the Force be with you, Italian Chef
  20. The numbers are not good. Perhaps it is a matter of time before CF publicly puts a big "For Sale" sign on itself.
  21. I think that International Street could be improved if it were more "International". It could annex Festhaus and serve German food. Panda Express can be moved to its own location on International Street. Those eateries and LaRosa's could play music and display the flags of the nations of their cuisine's origins.
  22. I think Congo Falls will be removed sometime in the next 50 years, but no time in the next 5.
  23. Ah no. It won''t happen.
  24. I think that Geauga Lake will get sold. I've even heard rumors about it. Thought much money and many rides have been invested into the park, it has experienced low attendance.
