You can ONLY get the basket at Chick-a-filet - and it doesn't include soda. Next time I eat at Kings Island, I will go elsewhere. I REALLY wanted to eat at the Wings buffet - but it was closed!

You are correct. Next time we will eat elsewhere in the park. The food prices don't bother me too much - but the drink prices are way too high. They really should go down.

We ordered one kid's meal for Toddler Chef, a chicken nugget basket with soda for Mrs. Chef, and a chicken sandwich basket and soda for me. $31!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I visited Kings Island with my family. The highlights were The forwards Racer, Adventure Express, Lazy Town Sportcopters, and Nick-o-round. We tried to eat Wings Buffet, but it was closed. So I dropped $31 for fried chicke, fries, and soda at Chick-a-filet. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef

Gas prices do not affect how often I visit Kings Island. Having a family does.

Getting rid of the Paramount name makes perfect sense. Too bad GL is not doing well.

Since Cedar Fair took over Kings Island, the park seems cleaner. And this season we see more shows. So I'd say that the park is better with Cedar Fair than Paramount Parks. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Today I visited Kings Island with my wife and 3-year old son. It was a beautiful sunny day. The highlights included: - Toddler Chef and I riding Little Bill's Giggle Coaster - All 3 of us riding Nick-o-round - All 3 of us posing for pictures with Scooby Doo - All 3 of us riding Lazytown Sportcopters - All 3 of us eating eating lunch at Nickelodeon Universe - All 3 of us riding the Kings Island & Miami Valley Railroad - Me riding The Racer alone - Shopping at Emporium We had a nice time. I think that Top Gun should be re-named "Navy Pilot". I'd like to see all "Paramount" related names get replaced by generic names with new theming.

I also rode FoF in the dark today. Quite frankly, I prefer some light.

I was there for the grand event and cheered intently. WOW! It was an unforgetable event. The speeches were so compelling that I was moved to tears. This event changed my life. Never again will I walk into a takeout pizza joint without gazing upon the floor and pondering how much work went into it. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Today I went to Kings Island for opening day with one of my friends. I immediately noticed the new signs with the new logos when I entered the gates. First we riode Flight of Fear, which was more dark than usual. But it was an awesome ride. We next rode Zephyr, which made me feel like a super-hero flying. Since Kings Island Central advertised the LaRosa's grand re-opening, we attended it next. The extravagant festivities were marked by breath taking speeches. These words changed my life. I will never be able to look at the floors of LaRosa's again without appreciating the great efforts that went into revamping them. Following the spiritual experience of the festivities, we ate LaRosa's pizza for lunch. The food was not quite on par with the dinner that I enjoyed at Jean Robert's at Pigall's, but worth every penny I paid for the meal. After lunch, we rode SDATHC and I didn't score too well. Perhaps I am out of practice. Then we exchanged our temporary IDs for permanent IDs and enjoyed alcoholic beverages at Lt. Dan's bar. Next we rode the (forwards) Racer, which I think has become my favorite roller coaster in the park. We tried to ride The Beast and the Kings Island and Miami Valley Railroad, but the former was down and the latter wasn't operating. Hence, we rode The Italian Job, which had a very long line. We then rode the bumper cars at Coney Mall, followed by a ride to the top of The Eiffel Tower. Then we visited what used to be the Paramount Story and were pleased to see all Paramount props gone. The next thing we did was watch the Hot Island Rythms show, which was entertaining. After the show, we rode Viking Fury and Adventure Express. By then we were tired, so we shopped at Emporium before going home. I purchased clothes and souvenires for every member of my family Overall it was a great day. I'm glad that Kings Island is now owned by Cedar Fair - and I'm glad that I now have a new job with a new company. Both Kings Island and I are enjoying awesome changes. Have a great day! Why do they always get young folks to do these shows? I'd like to see some musicals starring sexy, middle-aged, full figured women. I'm not into younger women!

Great article in The Post! I am glad that the Paramount theming has been removed from what was once The Paramount Story, Action Zone, and Boomerang Bay. And I am so excited that Scooby Doo (who my 3-year old son ADORES) and Yogi Bear will appear in the ice show!!! And hey - 5 shows!!! It has been YEARS since we've seen that many.
