Kings Island name
With the new recording at Kings Island and the new logo both omitting the word, Paramount, does anyone know if and when "Paramount" will be officially dropped from Kings Island? I figure if not this year, next year. And I anticipate a new URL. We shall see. Have a great day! Italian Chef

What would YOU like to see in Kings Island?
A new employee who wrote a book about the park (hint hint); no more "Paramount" in the name; more indoor rides; and a full-service dining restaurant. Cheers! Italian Chef

Gold Pass Parking/Reserved Parking
It makes perfect sense to me. Now that there are no longer "Gold Passes", how can there possibly be a Gold Pass parking area?? And I do hope that the Paramount theming goes away and we see some exciting changes in the park. Merry BELATED Christmas! Italian Chef

How would you feel if PKI got X Flight?
I never rode X-Flight. So if it comes to Kings Island, it'll be very new to me. Merry Christmas! Italian Chef

Vote for PKI!
I just voted for PKI on all categories. Merry Christmas, Italian Chef

Kings Island losing Paramount?
Well, the "Paramount" name has to go eventually. I'd say sooner is better than later. Merry Christmas! Italian Chef

What would YOU like to see in Kings Island?
I would like to see new signage and theming at Kings Island - all without the Paramount name. I'd like Kings Island to be fully assimulated into CF by dropping all Paramount references. As far as rides are concerned, I'd like to see a ferris wheel. Every amusement park should have one. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Offseason tours
Considering that the new attraction(s) for next year haven't been announced yet, I wonder if there will be any off-season tours. If there are, I'd love to go. Have a great day! Italian Chef

10/29 Visit - Last day of the season
Today I went to PKI with Mrs. Chef and Toddler Chef. We were there at 10 a.m. and learned that rides wouldn't commence operation until 11 a.m. So we renewed Mrs. Chef's season pass and took pictures of the Phantom Theater characters. At 11 we entered Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. Toddler Chef was delighted because he loved Scooby Doo. I scored 750 - the highest of my entire life and it was the second time I actually defeated Mrs. Chef. After that we met Scooby Doo in person and had pictures taken. Toddler Chef was very happy and exclaimed "Bye Scooby" very loud after we were done. Then we went to the Pumpkin Patch Express. We enjoyed the ride, especially since my son loves trains. At the actual Pumpkin Patch Toddler Chef ran around in his costume and had a great time. We video-taped him. Next Toddler Chef and I rode Little Bill together - and Toddler Chef didn't cry or complain at all. I was very proud of him. Mrs. Chef took pictures. We then had a snack and took Toddler Chef Trick-or-Treating throughout Nickelodeon Central. After we were done, I ran to Adventure Express and the Race for two enjoyable coaster rides. Since it was close to Toddler Chef's nap time and we had many errands to run, we left the park early. It was an awesome family day at the park. I love PKI and will miss her during the off season. Have a great off season everyone! Italian Chef

PKI 10-22, Cold but no lines!
You are so so so lucky. I wish that I had small crowds last night. It would have allowed me to do many more rides and attractions.

10/21 Visit
Tonight I went to PKI with two of my friends for FearFest. I noticed immediately in the parking lot that the park was super-crowded. Before entering the park we renewed our season passes for next year. I was surprised to get a "temporary" pass and learn that "officially" we don't know whether the park will be "PKI" or "KI" yet. First we rode Adventure Express and we waited a lot longer than usual. Next we saw Monster Mash. WOW!!!! It was awesome! This show's singing and dancing was as good as Graveyard Shift or a lower-tiered Vegas show. Well done Kings Island. Next we visited Holiday Horror, which was cute. After that we walked around the park looking for a shorter-lined Halloween attraction and couldn't find any. So we left early and ate dinner out. Have a great day! Italian Chef

9/30 Visit
I didn't need to stay for FearFest. I experienced all the attractions on Thursday night during the dry run. I will return some evening to experience some of them again if I find anybody to carpool with. As much as I love PKI, I don't want to go alone.

9/30 Visit
Today I went tto PKI with one of my friends and was very happy that the crowds were light. We got there at 10 a.m. and rode FoF first. Since there was no line, we got back on a second time. Next came Zephry for a good spin. After that we rode Vortex twice - and I realized how much I love Vortex's loops for the first time. Then we rode the clown film at the FX Theater. We rode The Beast afterward and then had lunch at the Festhaus. After eating we rode SDATHC - the first and only time we really had to wait on line all day. Next came The Racer, Adventure Express, Viking, and finally a ride up to the Eiffel Tower. Since my friend needed had an obligation, we called it a day around 1:40 p.m. Hey - what a day - 12 rides and lunch in such a short time. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef

9/28 FearFest Dry Run
Tonight I went to PKI for the FearFesr Dry Run and had an awesome time. I managed to experience all 9 attractions open tonight: Massacre Manor, The Asylum, Psycho Path, Circus of Horrors, Cowboy Carnage ( which is new), the Worksite, Cornstalkers, and Holiday Horror. I think that Psycho Path was probably the one. Have a great day! Italian Chef

Nick U. or Hanna Barbaera
I grew up with Hanna-Barbera cartoons, so I vote for H-B Land over NU. Have a great day! Italian Chef

SDATHC?
If Cedar Fair continues the tradition of changing the haunted house every 10 years, SDATHC will remain until around 2011. And Nickelodeon Universe is less important now than before. If memory serves me right, the license expires in 4 or 5 years. Hence, eventually SDTHC and NU will both be replaced by Peanuts. Have a great day! Italian Chef

If you were Cedar Fair, what would you do...
If I were Cedar Fair, I would hire a special marketing communications area manager to assist Maureen and perhaps the marketing departments of some of the other CF parks. The person I have in mind is an author honored by the Ohioana Libraray Society, Blue Chip award-winning public access TV producer, freelance writer who has contributed to 9 newspapers & 6 magazines, and in my humble opinion......a man who is a wizard of words. Hence, if I were Cedar Fair, I'd hire Charles Infosino as a marketing communications representative. He would grace Cedar Fair with his talent and passion. Have a great day! Italian Chef

2007 Season Pass Information!
Well then the press release on PKI.com is false advertising, and then all hell will hit the fan if that's true. All renewing 2006 season pass holders will receive FREE season-long parking, provided they purchase their passes and have photo IDs taken at the park by October 29. Renewing pass holders should bring their 2006 passes with them to the park when they have their photo IDs taken. For new pass holders, season-long parking is available for $34.95 per pass. Parking is valid at Paramount's Kings Island only. Source pki.com Media Center. If you are correct - and I assume you are - that means that the representative whom I spoke to gave me inaccurate information. HEY - it happens. $75 for season pass renewal and parking sure beats $110 ($75 + $35) for season pass and parking. The $35 makes a HUGE difference. Have a great weekend! Italian Chef

2007 Season Pass Information!
I called and was told that parking is NOT included with the season pass, even if you have a pass this year. So $75 sound cheaper than $80 from last year....until you add the $35 for parking. I wonder if there will be any family of 4 or other deals? Have a great weekend! Italian Chef
