^^Honestly, it just wouldn't make sense that your 08 gold pass is now invalid...I could be wrong, but perhaps that free visit in 08 can be given to a friend or something... Btw, while funny, that's also a little mean what you did to your cat!

^^but ONLY in the blue train!!! (the smoother of the two!)

CIN Weekly Article About Kings Island's Natalie Gibson
tigellinus replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
A quote from the article, "Delirium - I won't get it on it," she says. "It looks terrifying; I have no interest in it!" Nat, Nat, Nat....I thought the same until a few years ago when I finally tried it, and now, it's by far KI's most fun ride!! Someone should force her on it, cuz after riding it once she'll realize how tame it actually is and what a blast of fun it is too!! (although, a little dizzying if you ride too much at once) -
^^During Haunt attractions it's cool! But I've noticed on Invertigo some VERY unnecessary and constant screeching that almost ruins the ride....better not hear any of that tomorrow!!

Meteorlogist Judd Redfield on WTHR (channel 12/13 in Indianapolis) was claiming during this morning's forecast that the updated Farmer's Almanac for this Fall was calling for the Ohio Valley (i.e. central Indy and Cincy) to be very dry and hot (possibly 90's in Sept!)....sounds perfect for erecting some D-back steel this Sept and Oct!!

Wow I've never seen Stricker's Grove so crowded
tigellinus replied to raptor's topic in Trip Reports
Last year on TPR's Midwest trip multiple peeps had SG shirts, AND I've seen them numerous times before at both CP and HP....I don't entirely remember what they look like to a tee (no pun intended ), but using my photographic memory, I recall they were white with blue print, and while I don't remember the front much, on the back Stricker's Grove was off-set to the left with Grove under Stricker, like: Stricker's Grove and SG was in a cool, old-fashioned-ish looking font, and to the right of that was like a ferris wheel and maybe part of one of their coasters...it was actually a REALLY cool looking shirt, something like you'd see at an Urban Outfitters or even American Eagle store, and not sort of your typical nerdy-looking coaster shirt at all!! -
^^Although I LOVED the backwards Racer as well, that side is definitely a lot smoother than I ever really remember the original frontwards side being, although it's not as smooth now as it was in April, it's still very ride-able. Looking at the big picture, CF has definitely helped to "make good" on certain changes with Diamondback....

Funny to see those construction workers using a support beam as a "bench" while eating their lunch!...I guess, why not?!

Hello, I haven't read the rest of your TR (yet), but "living on Zantac 150"?!? As a MAJOR Zantac 150 fan myself (when I do need to sparingly take it), have you ever considered that you might have acid reflux?? My brother-in-law's a gastroenterologist and "living on Zantac 150" does not sound good, especially when he disapproves of me taking it like 2 times over 2 days during a family cookout when I see him.

^^Yeah, definitely transfer track for the trains' storage shed...sort of like for Nitro. Great pics, btw!!! They've really kicked it into gear the past two days!! It seemed from the pics I saw last Wednesday to this past weekend when I was at KI not a lot had been done, but since Sunday there's a TON of more progress!!
-
Yep, KI-only passses.....
-
^^Yeah, I agree....all my first day's started at least on the 20th!!
-
^^Step son?!? You learn something new about a KIC member every day!! But that is your biological daughter, right?
-
I haven't read your TR (yet), but 4 days at KD?!?....WOWZA!!!
-
^^Oh, I was on the first train of the day on Sunday, so that's technically a 0 minute wait, but I usually ride at least twice...often when I get back from a late afternoon meal at Gold Star, the 1 hr 20-30 min wait is a good time to just chill and let the food digest....
-
^^In addition, I saw some semi-hot chick employee cleaning the glass...I guess it gets dirty with all the finger prints and little kids' nose smudges!!
-
When did you ride?? I saw DT go down at like 6:00 pm last night and was testing empty until past 8:00 pm....did you ride during that time??
-
^^Yeah, but "stadium seating" can also evolve....just look at movie theatres...in the late 90's "stadium seating" was when the seat in front of you was partially lower, now in the late 2000's, the ENTIRE seat in front of you is below you!!
-
Yeah, Sat was bad...you should have gone yesterday instead!! Perfect weather, and the only wait (for me) over an hour was, of course, Firehawk!

^^Wow!!! Any chance the shirts I've seen are "vintage"??? Adding to the uniqueness and pretentiousness even more!!! -
I also love the name!! I think it's more colorful and interesting than Mustang would have been, and it rolls off the tongue pretty well for a 3 syllable word, which is important and not always easy!! Also, it can be easily abbreviated as "D-back" or fairly well initialed as "DB", and the artwork has been out of this world!! On the one hand, I kind of wish it didn't share the name of the MLB team in Arizona, but on the other hand, the baseball team has helped to bring some public recognition to the word so people are more familiar with it, have heard it before, and know what it is.... So there's some free marketing analysis for KI!!

Is this segment on ABC.com???

I agree...I was at KI for a short time Saturday and all day yesterday and every time I walked past the glass case not only were people in a bewildered amazement about what they were seeing, but the crowds were very big and getting very excited!! A lot of times I did have to point out the train to people as it was going up the lift since it is kind of hard to notice, but being at KI this weekend for the first time in a while (due to my growing amount of traveling to other parks in other states I've never been to) and talking to GP'ers this weekend, I can tell you the GP will freakin' love this coaster next year AND absolutely have no idea what to expect as so few GP'ers have ever been on a real B&M hyper, which at this point Raging Bull doesn't count!! Being at KI next season will be awesome for sure to see the GP's reactions and get to talk to them about it!....provided D-back is, in fact, anything like Behemoth, which I'm hoping it should be!!

WOW! Sounds like with the crowds I was better off at KI on Sunday...even if that did mean sacrificing getting an elusive/exclusive SG shirt!! -
That's why I'm so quick to defend DL's slow ROS operations (which I thought were actually good), with no test seat out front, I saw a 'walk of shame' on virtually EVERY train!!! Btw, I thought the seat belts were more forgiving on ROS than El Toro...but we're getting a little off topic from Diamondback! (no thanks to me!! )
