  1. Hopefully when the first drop is finally constructed you can break out the protractor and confirm the 74 degree angle too....because ever since the Behemoth controversy last year, I am a little a paranoid the first drop won't be 74 degrees (if not maybe even a wee bit steeper).
  2. Besides, wouldn't a chain lift be ideal for max dispatch intervals?? I'd imagine gauranteed stacking like on Vortex (or Medusa) with a cable lift...as cool as one would be! But the chain lift for Behemoth seems super charged and a lot faster than Nitro or AC, for example...unless the lift is super steep then maybe a cable will be necessary?? But I think a chain will still fine.
  3. ^^Likely replaced by Kidzville since, as has been 'interpreted' here before, the Snoopy license is strictly fixed to the pre-existing parks it's at. Kidzville at Canada's Wonderland Sigh...
  4. ^^Especially since the weather on Saturday is supposed to be really good!! I would think Friday is your best bet! Although, for what it's worth, CP has been embarrassingly empty the past two weekends, so who knows what it'll be like?
  5. ^^Well, but it ended up being a Godsend anyway....TDK coaster sucks and is much better off at SF Mexico where a much less critical and demanding audience will appreciate it more!
  6. SuperWait: Ultimate Letdown!! Although, to be fair, the pretzel loop is probably my second most favorite inversion to Storm Runner's flying snake dive.
  7. So my question is, will the trains be modified to remove the boxed-in lap bar and ankle restraints??
  8. Wow! That is very sad to hear!! That National Geographic special in 2006 (when I first ever heard of him) must have been one of the last things he did publicly.... For now, I am still counting coasters while I'm young, BUT I definitely don't credit wh***! (hence, still having never been on Skull Mountain at GAdv) In a way, I'm very envious of this!! There's a whole big world out there to explore beyond OH!! My first ever visit to Great Adventure (and first ride's on El Toro & Nitro) was probably the most fun I've ever had in one day!
  9. ^^Even still, in 2003, I question 650+ unique coasters!!
  10. Good to know it's not all toddler TV dinners!
  11. You know that Steve Urbanosewic or whatever his name is?? Well, yesterday I was getting around to some stuff on my DVR, and watched an old Travel Channel coaster show I DVR'ed last month that was from 2003 (LONG before I became an enthusiast!), and they had that Steve guy on talking about some GAdv rides-GASM and Nitro. Anyway, so he said (in 2003 mind you!) his coaster count was over 650!?!? As a somewhat knowledgeable enthusiast nowadays, in 2003, do you think this 650+ count is BS?? I mean, based on the TR's from "that west coast-based site", even the most hard-core world traveling enthusiasts barely have 500 credits, and in 2008!! So what gives? Was the 650+ in 2003 embellishment, or is he counting Racer as like 3 credits or something with the direction changes?
  12. Science is fun!!!
  13. Hey Beast1979.... How sad is it that I haven't (and am not even planning on) checking the D-back webcam today?! But honestly, I know they're not working today, if the weather is like Indy's it sucks and the views won't be good anyway! The only reason to check is the off chance you get a screwed up shot that provides a good view of the areas we can't really see well...like the lift hill, which hopefully they'll re-position the webcam for next week!! Btw, why are you showing up online now?? You should be in school, getting your edjabucation!!
  14. Well, my sister has already tried convincing me to move to west Cleveland (for CP purposes), but I actually already moved to Cincy (05 & 06) and moved back to Indy! But it was sweet living 5 minutes away from KI, and I still have friends who live there.
  15. Awesome pics!! I'm kind of jeleous that Cincy's weather looks better than Indy's right now! (bluer sky and less clouds...great track rigging weather I guess!)
  16. ^^That's why I said "being connected" and not just simply "connected" or "is connected"... I wonder if they'll finish this today? My guess is yes!
  17. Diamondback Blog finally updated today!! And it seems the lift hill is, indeed, next up!!
  18. ^^Splashdown being connected to the brake-run as we speak!! However, if they're going to use this giant crane for all their track work, I think we can throw out the theory that having this giant crane means anything in terms of the speed with putting up track if it's going to be used for everything. But hopefully more lift supports will be next!
  19. They also had orange Vortex track prints extending close to the carousel, and I seem to remember similar prints for AE, KC, and maybe even Amazon/Congo Falls.
  20. ^^I'm actually just kidding on that!! Happy webcam watching today!
  21. ^^Except for the new Easter Eggs!!
  22. ^^So did you see the signs in NMB for "video games"??? B/c if so, what are those?!?
  23. ^^Actually, I check the webcam often, it's just the angles right now suck to get a real good idea of what's exactly going on, which isn't throwing up track piece after track piece...yet! Hopefully soon the action and angles will start providing for more entertainment!
  24. People were speculating earlier that the blog updates might be happening about once a month...so maybe in the next couple of weeks once some more significant track goes up (like the lift hill), then maybe we'll finally hear something!! But this definitely won't be like the Holiblog or anything like that!
  25. I don't think the two will be that comparable since Behemoth has a turn out of the station and into the lift hill, while D-back just heads straight out! Looking at the D-back diagrams, there will be a couple feet of track before the incline. So while the lift will be very steep, it appears it won't be coming straight out of the station like Millennium Force.
