  1. ^^No...they're that bad!! It's like wearing a cartoon custome, and the shorts are really short and only go down mid-thigh! Like I said, I can't believe my eyes when I see them...if I was dreaming or not sober then fine, but I think I was really there in person when I saw them!?
  2. ^^I'm not even sure how much Gold Passes or two-day tickets are, but if the Gold Pass is the same as a 2-day ticket, then I think it's pretty obvious!! Btw, you did give me a good idea that KI tickets for fam and friends this summer would make a great gift, especially since so many I know I haven't been to KI in a few years, and it's a good way to finagle my way to another KI visit!!
  3. Well, I did notice one in between Vortex and BLSC, but I thought they just veered off course!? However, yikes!!...I'm sorry, but even for $30 an hour I wouldn't work in that uniform!! I couldn't honestly bare to make eye-contact with any of those people because those uniforms are preposterous and it's too awkward!! I mean, anyone think that wearing those uniforms doing those jobs is like the entry-level position when arriving in hell?!
  4. ^^So does the 5 Hour (or 6 Hour) Energy really work?? I had one driving back from CP in 07 and thought it did nothing. I bought one on Friday for Saturday (the Max kind), but found a Red Bull in the morning and then on the drive back were both enough...so I'm curious about trying this?
  5. I've been saying this since last year as Behemoth's camera placement was is in a similar spot, but D-back's is better, if you can imagine that!! And which is why I was so happy when I heard the early rumors of bottom of the 2nd drop being the photo spot. But oh well, probably for the better to prevent being tempted to buy them if the photo will most likely stink, but I still want to get a keychain if I do get a good pic!
  6. through Nick Universe Technically that doesn't narrow it down...
  7. Btw, is it accurate to say those yellow jumpsuits for ecology are mainly for the Nick U. area?? I don't seem to recall anyone dressed like that in Action Zone!
  8. LMAO!! At least she rode, and I'm glad that she dug it! As an auction rider I was wondering what the poor souls were doing from 6:00 am on, and now I have a better idea, but I'm really starting to think waiting for a long time in the morning for D-back is a waste of time, maybe... Btw, why was shaving your head a regret? You never explained that part?! sunburn maybe?
  9. ^^Good TR! At least they were running in the rain! I'm definitely with you on D-back being one to avoid in the morning, at least if you can defeat temptation and hold off!!
  10. ^^Also, to add to that...KI really is right with their line tip...don't ride in the morning!! If the season goes like Saturday did, the line will just be shorter as the day goes on. But I want to see how this weekend continues to play out...
  11. I just wanted to publicly thank the Diamondback crew for all their hard work this weekend, and for doing such an amazing job during D-back’s grand opening!! I know your hours were long on Saturday, but for the opening of one of the biggest rides in all of 2009, and considering the tricky queue management with the line extending into Nick Universe and beyond as well, I thought the crew did a phenomenal job!! It’s a testament to their great performance how never once did I really feel like the queue/line or the people in it were out of control, and all the while handling a Single Ride Line on such a ridiculously popular ride! There are definitely still some kinks to work out, but I’m confident that’ll get better in time and soon. Also, there were a couple of stars on the crew in particular that I hope will continue their excellent work and maybe rub-off on some of the meh op’s on the crew as well. So thank you again! Btw, one comment, when the temporary queue gates in front of the entrance slide down to the curb (since that area’s on a slant), that first inside entrance lane is really narrow and there is a pretty bad tripping hazard where that curb curves! (pardon the alliteration)
  12. Honestly, I would rather wait the 45 mins in the queue if I could pick my seat with no assignment. However, you kind of need seat assignment to make the SRL work the absolute best. I guess the next few weekends will give us a better idea how the SRL will work, but I do think it's a crock how your SR fate is determined on whether or not the enterance op has a card...if you're an unluckly soul it's possible you'll never get a card!!
  13. ^^Ummm...The Beast is also open for ERT and wasn't busy at all either!! So you'll still get that...
  14. After taking some night rides last night I can add that with the trim barely grabbing, the 5th hill was producing some killer air!! Same with the 6th drop when the MCBR barely slowed. However, I think the trim is going to be mostly used, but I hope its night use can be limited at the least. Also, I figured out why Behemoth's hammerhead is so d*mn good!...it comes after the 2nd hill! But I still can't get over how much I'm digging the 3rd hill. And with each ride I like D-back more and more...its best attribute is the layout for sure. With all the interaction from the midway, Crypt and on-looker's, the seclusion of flying around back in the woods, and then the finale of diving straight into the Splashdown; it has one of the sexiest layouts of any coaster!!
  15. I'll do one better...I have a feeling the lines for Gold Pass/PP ERT will be longer than a lot of the lines later that day!!
  16. I talked to Bob for a bit yesterday, and he seemed pretty cool...the funniest thing is when I was commenting to him about following certain queue rules, he'd always respond, "Do it anyway!" ya gotta love that!
  17. Sorry to hijack the costume convo , but it's good to hear there's at least one person not concerned about the D-back crew seeing our DB loving faces many, many times!!
  18. Like I just saw a whole d*mn family with 3 SR cards each...that's crap!! Trust me, I've spent a lot of time in the D-back queue today and it's being abused!!
  19. As someone who's been burnin' up the Single Riders line today, if they're out of SR cards you can't go in the SR line. But honestly people have seriously been abusing this line today, so I hope KI tries to be strict, which they've been pretty good about! Also, the whole freakin' main queue is seriously barely 45 mins, so if they're out of cards just please move on and don't b*tch!
  20. I forgot to add I got wet on the Splashdown without trying...at all!! Also, there are still some kinks with ride operations like way too many W.O.S.'s (seeing one on almost every train I've been on!), ineffective seat assigning (seen LOTS of empty entire rows due to a row not being assigned when a train is ready to load!! ), and a lot of people getting on from the exit on almost every train too (VIP's, whoever). There's definitely too much train stacking, but that stuff should get better with time and D-back will be as blazing fast as Behemoth, which that line never stopped moving! Also, as far as D-back not being outside of the box, inside of it is what's in right now in the industry, and on opening day D-back's never stopped running once, the cheers and applause are deafening after each ride, and I just traversed the entire main queue in 30 minutes! Sounds pretty good to me! Update: despite the seat assigning, I successfully begged my way to a front row, which was AWESOME!! I might like that more than the back row!?
  21. In line for D-back now, and I'm still hoping to get in a few more rides tonight! The Single Rider line rocks, and I hope they continue it! Having said that, I'm sorry, but the seat assigning is incredibly lame!! Just pulse the line at the top of the stairs! Behemoth assigned seats through May, and I hope KI doesn't do it for that long...while it's true people want the front row or maybe back first, it's also true if they see a long wait for the front, but no wait for Row 7, most will go for Row 7!...especially GP'ers! As for the ride, it completely delivers, period, and the afternoon rides were way better than the morning and I can only imagine how these night rides will be! Other notes, the 3rd hill is the gem, no doubt! The 5th hill trim is sadly used, but not bad at all as with the MCBR, and I've gotten very wet from the Splashdown on all 3 of my last row rides!
  22. It's literally hours now until the first ride, but I wanted to create this so I could post my very first quick reaction and impression after riding tomorrow! I'm definitely getting crazy excited!! Anyone who's ridden yet wanna post what they thought and what seat they rode in?
