  1. NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Hehe
  2. Feel free for anyone to throw the $.02 back in my pie hole, but IMO (esp. given the shaky weekend weather prospects) how could anyone go to KI this weekend versus next?? (if only one weekend could be had for a while)
  3. Marrying a non-enthusiast...that'll get'cha every time!!
  4. ^^Cinnabon on the right, just past Keyhole on the left.
  5. ^^That's cute... Woot! Another person who likes the Crypt! I enjoy the ride, despite the lack of theming, because the line is usually short and the ride is real fun, and you get sweet shots of Diamondback from the exit! Here here on digging the Crypt!! TR:TR was a total bore, btw, Jackson, have you been on any other Top Spin? Specifically any outdoors!?

  7. And best yet, is that with many only proclaiming to ride Diamondback once or twice Opening Day, I'm hoping to take the early lead for April...Tiggy takes the center square!
  8. I describe it to people as riding a coaster on a Lazy Boy chair!! It's BY FAR the most comfy riding experience for ANY high thrill coaster! It's also totally different than any other steel sit-down coaster as usually all those come with dynamic intensity and forceful direction changes (Intamin hypers, Giovanola's, Morgan) or just jerky-ness (Arrow), but the B&M hypers are radically different...super smooth (non-inverting) with a very free feeling going up and down the hills. It really feels like you're flying above the tree-tops and not aboard coaster track...the experience is similar to Delirium, but on a coaster. It's really the Cadillac of coasters!! Some (like Terpy) think they can be too smooth or controlled (over-engineered) like with Apollo's Chariot and it's not much different than a coaster simulator with a fan. But I thought Behemoth took things to a whole different level and was a billion times better than Nitro or any other B&M hyper (and I've been on all in N. America), so I really think Diamondback could be the best yet!!
  9. ^^Yeah, apparently that recently changed and there is now ERT starting at 9:00 am on Opening Day.
  10. As a GP'er, I agree! But when considering the auction, I'm hoping 6 rides should be attainable...I mean, I'd call 3 rides in 10 hours pretty realistic to me! And btw, as for myself, since I'm planning to be at KI both the 18th and the weekend after, I'll hopefully have many chances to ride other things. Just think, in 168 hours (a week) from now, God willing I'll be in Diamondback's queue!! That's pretty d*mn exciting.
  11. I emphasize realistically, what's the most you think you could get in? Assuming weather is average, like overcast and 65 degrees and dry, so nothing to keep crowds away but no gorgeous weather either. I can't say Diamondback will be the only thing I ride, especially if there are some opportunistic short waits for other things, but if D-back was my main focus, let me think about this for the first time... Including the First Ride Auction and ERT, here's the times I think I could ride: 9 am-auction ride, 9:45-2nd ride, 11:30 ish-3rd ride, 3:30-4th ride, 7:00-5th ride, 9/9:30-6th/last ride depending on when they close the line. I'm kind of thinking from around 11-7 the line will be >3 hrs. If I changed up the afternoon a little and the evening waits are a little shorter I could maybe get in 7 rides? So anyone wanna make their ride count predictions?
  12. ^^Just remember, it's best enjoyed if riding with as much of an Abercrombie model's physique as possible!! Tiggy, hoping my honey Bruna is back at the "operater's table" of the Bull again this year!!
  13. ^^Hmmm...makes me wonder what the angle of descent could be for CF's per caps?!
  14. ^^Yes, also remember it's equally ineffective when it comes to rain! Not to rain on your parade, so to speak...
  15. ^^WOW this weather talk is starting to get old!!
  16. ^^Not to mention an unconfirmed, at best, status of their ride operations!!
  17. ^^And as BrownT intimated, I've often found the peninsula can miss out entirely on rain that's just a little further south!
  18. ^^I was waiting for Terpy to start his lecture (of which I am an attentive pupil, btw!) on the low editorial grade of published articles nowadays!
  19. ^^Oh, how I miss, 1.) TW's DVR (I'm accustomed to Comcast's now, but I still really liked TW's!), and 2.) that WCPO weather channel...their forecasts were always a lot more optimistic than the other stations!
  20. ^^Honestly, in my self-proclaimed expert opinion, while you have a chance and obviously you should utilize the test seat as well, if you do make it the fit will be the tightest that's allowable. For what it's worth I'm optimistic, but just be prepared...as an aside, I myself was very concerned about my El Toro prospects last summer when I was above 200 lbs for the first time in a while, and though the ride experience wasn't quite as great as being under 200, I actually made ET with flying colors!! Good luck!
  21. ^^Which still proves the fact of how unpredictable the long-range forecasts are. I still believe Wednesday morning will be the earliest time to have the best accuracy.
  22. ^^REALLY!?!?!?!....so Terpy affirming PM usage...interesting (as I like to say)
  23. ^^Be sure to post his on-ride pic in the future 'show your D-back on-ride photo' thread!!
  24. ^^Again, I contend this weekend should be for yard work, sleeping in, laundry, and Mother's Day gift buying sandwiched in between 3 other KI weekends of 4/18, 4/25-26, and 5/9-10...but maybe I'm just not as die-hard as I thought!? (also remember CP's opening weekend of 5/16-17)
