  1. ^^OR if this is publicity to add awareness to the area for CP's 2010 attraction...hmmm.....
  2. ^^How confident can you be your ferris wheel pod won't fall off, or how confident can you be some hyperactive Kings HS teen won't side-swipe you on N. Columbia pulling out of CVS? I mean, life in itself is an inherit risk, especially as is riding anything at a theme park.
  3. ^^AND don't forget most opening day's have frequent ride operation kinks resulting in downtime...anyone remember opening day in 07?? YIKES!! However, I feel confident D-back won't be nearly as susceptible. I mean, I actually think non-Diamondback rides won't be that bad, but Diamondback will likely have a 3 hour+ wait most of the day completely regardless of weather excluding a non-stop down pour or all day thunder and lightning.
  4. ^^Failing to clear TTD's top hat, and rolling back down the verticle launch track backwards. Height won't be an issue at all. I'm 6'3" and I can't even put my feet on the floor of the car. I'm 6'2" and can easily touch Behemoth's train floor with the front of my foot. My 6' girlfriend could not, however. 6'5", 42" will fit fine on D-back, but I'm not guaranteeing you'll have a ton of extra space from the lower torso to the front of the clamshell restraint (which is obviously how you maximize airtime). But like I said, you'll fit fine...the difference is like riding El Toro if you weigh under 200 lbs. vs. 200+...they are different experiences. I also disagree some about the thighs...I never could bust out a tape measure to determine dimensions, but it truly seemed to me that Behemoth's seats were a lot deeper than any of the other 1st or 2nd generation B&M hypers.
  5. Will Ryan sell me a custom KIC designation, a la The Interpreter?? I'd pay some bucks for that!!
  6. Could KIC indicate if anyone younger than 14 is posting by like highlighting their member name in bright, bold yellow or something?? That way, I'd know which posts are more so 'kids playing on the internets'!! (Jackson, excluded, of course!) -Tiggy, 27, and feelin' the old age!!
  7. ^^I'd be down for Ryan just deleting my Post # as far as I care...BUT leave my Platinum status!!
  8. I think you're still good until June 1st...but after that?? Ummm...Obama...can you delay that Passport thing like you did with DTV!?!
  9. If AE's theming is changed....YOU...WILL...PAY!!!!
  10. ^^Very similar...except a mountain instead of Eiffel Tower. However, Kings Dominion is even more similar.
  11. Operational kinks at the start of the season?!...shocker!!
  12. ^^Was it just me, or did I-spy some vending machines with $3 prices at the end of last season?? Also, wisely or not, I commonly put my unfinished plastic bottles in the loose articles bin before riding, and then retrieve them when done always without incident.
  13. ^^Well, there's definitely far more to complain about...but while the queue shade doesn't have the most theming in the world, the money is probably better spent at other places. At least there is shade! You could be in Fahrenheit's queue at Hersheypark being fried like 10 cent egg at a cheaper diner on 78/22!!
  14. Yeah, most people have hit on the key things. The only things I'll mention is this, first, definitely ride Time Warp if you've never been on a Zamperla flyer...as someone who's NOT a credit'or (hence, still never been on any Skull Mountain), it's worth the experience! Also, I thought the food prices and options were good inside the park! There was this hot dog stand on the right side of their I-street just in front of the mountain where I got a giant (more than one foot) corn dog, fries, and drink for all under $10! AND it was pretty good!! The Pizza Pizza place in the strip mall across from CW was a lot more expensive (but the McDonald's on Major Mac is cheaper). Someone in line for Top Gun (their hang 'n bang) told us about some donut holes they claimed CW was famous for, and my g/f got them and thought they were really good! They had powered sugar on them, and I thought they were ok. Also, getting back to rides, I thought Dragon Fire (their Arrow sit-down) was really rough. I take it you're going to CW after D-back opens? If so, I'd love to see how you think B-moth compares after riding D-back first! Lastly, the two biggest Canadian gems for me are the candy you can't get in the States, like the Bounty bar!! Also, getting Nestle water still bottled in Aberfoyle! Plus, the caffeine Tylenol was interesting too.
  15. My coaster goals....have a ride on D-back when a giant stick is NOT up the rump of KI's operation of the ride!! Hey, it could happen!?!
  16. My only observation with the 10+ forecasts is that the temperature at least does seem to be ballpark. i.e. the temp's predicted for a 10+ forecast seem to be within +/- 5 degrees (this even held true last December when during a string of 20's Beast1979 posted a 12 day with high's in the 50's....guess what, a week and a half later the temp's were 50's for December). So my only take away is that hopefully the high that day should be between 60-70 degrees, which is good! Otherwise, the forecast during the morning on the 15th will be the first really good idea.
  17. ^^Wait a minute..I thought you started your weight lose after the WT media day FAIL??
  18. ^^And I don't know how old you (2013 your HS graduating class??), but soon you'll want to ride more and other things like El Toro and Superman: Ride of Steel!!
  19. ^^That's a good idea. I've also told intimidated riders to have their eyes closed the whole time, which I've found works pretty well. Of cource, that strategy always failed with me cuz I'd be too tempted to open them. Best of luck! It's hard to believe that for myself as recently as a few years back I refused to ride Invertigo or Delirium!?! Of course, now, my pulse won't even be elevated beyond the resting rate for my first D-back ride! Though riding is still very fun!! (just not scary)
  20. ^^But just in case, hopefully you've got your allowance all saved up, Jackson!!
  21. THE BEST maXair seat there is, Giga, is 21! When I told a ride op this, he said he agreed and called it the "Black Jack seat", which I thought was cool.
  22. Better clarity as always? Was that ending remark really necessary? I was not in any way complaining about the clarity of Ryan's post, which is completely fine. I merely asked a related question that I felt was valid. Actually, my 'better clarity' remark was solely directed at KI and no one else, so sorry if I offended you
  23. ^^It's ok! Great PP find, btw! Also, Anaconda is nowhere near as thrilling as Vortex!
  24. Dudes, I've been having D-back dreams for months now!! Hopefully in about two weeks those will start going away!
