New episode of “Behind The Curtain has been dropped. And on Opening Day. Go Reds. Nice interview with Rick Bastrup. Can’t wait to see more. -

Well, I’m keeping the credit. *adjusts fanny pack and glasses* -
Kings Island General Discussion 2026
beastfan11 replied to Losantiville Mining Co.'s topic in Kings Island
Spot on. The exception, at least in my hopeful opinion, would be for the parks that “work,” I.e. Cedar Point, Kings Island, etc. If they can generate revenue then I would hope the board can see stuff like this as valuable and embrace it. Definitely not applicable to every park in the chain, though. -

More than just tradition, too. Hate to be so corporate minded about this long standing tradition, but it keeps people in the park until close. More people in the park = more money to spend. I feel like John Reilly’s recent comments about the lack of revenue as a result of canceled seasonal events would apply here, too. But who knows. -
Any current photos of the Coney site since demolition?

Already using that $8 million wisely. Great. (Thick Sarcasm) -

Might finally be getting that Little Bill’s Giggle Coaster RMC reboot we’ve been wishing for. -
Discussing Land and Space in and around Vortex
beastfan11 replied to Klabergian Empire's topic in Kings Island
100% agree. New water ride would be my top choice for that space as of now. Plenty of space in AZ to develop the next big coaster. Anything coaster-wise built in The Vortex will draw comparisons, for better or worse. -

Truly appreciate your creativity. There’s so much that can be done with this space and I look forward to seeing your other ideas. -
Shame on them. Hope they’re all voted out. Public opinion on this has been pretty strong. Coney feelings aside, there’s much more that these funds could’ve gone to that would’ve benefited the city much, much more. Pretty transparent and embarrassing,

If someone paid $90k for that I hope they intend on being buried in it. Wow.

Scoreboard is at $2k. Somebody must’ve been a real Master Blaster…

Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare Construction Progress
beastfan11 replied to Hawaiian Coasters 325's topic in Kings Island
Totally. I’d really love to see something akin to the original facade, but I’m hoping this is more of a situation where they feel like this is more of an opportunity to build off of what they have as opposed to any type of budgetary constraints. Mentioned this elsewhere, but I feel like adding something similar to the original marquee would go a long way in taking this from a castle to a theater, amongst a few other changes. -

Totally get this. Hahaha. Just one more month and maybe we’ll be able to sleep again normally. -
Haven’t been on it so I’m not totally aware of the capacity. But if there’s a way to increase riders per hour without affecting the actual ride experience, then I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to. Especially in a (new) park that has issues with wait times on other marquee attractions. Man, I’m hoping to make it to Epic soon.

If it means more budget for the actual ride experience/show, I think it’s worth it to update what’s there. But yeah, an original facade would be preferable. Guess we’ll see. Ultimately, I’d say what’s inside the building will matter more. -

Appreciate it! I’m a visual person, so I had to take a bit of time to obsess over what it could look like. Haha. Can’t wait to see what the finished product is. -
As asinine as it may be, there may be an ROI on theme park trash cans, outside of adding to the park experience… Read More About Disney Trash Cans, I Guess

My friend, that may be true, but I can assure you I’m still crazy. -

Looks like some paint showing up, unless I’m crazy and imagining things (which is possible and likely). -

Kings Island General Discussion 2026

I think you could do quite a bite with the existing facade to make it work. The castle dental molding should go, as well as the turret style features (which they seem to be addressing now). A lot of the existing colors in the art design (from what we’ve seen) could be incorporated into what’s there. Mocked up this concept over the last few days to try and visualize what it could be. Not sure how it would work, but I’d really love to see some kind of marquee added to the front inspired by the original: Excited to see what they do. -

That gave me a laugh too. A lot of references in that short pre show clip from the original ride, the Encore show, BBoBH, and more. Love the story treatment. You can tell a lot of love went into this.
