Someone could get seriously hurt. They had a show on the Travel channel a while back and it talked about the "Millenium Mile" or something along those lines. It was insane!

YAY IT WORKED!! I'm happy now haha.
-
haha okay. I'll do that.

T I Fully agree. I never understand it. I would rather walk to a ride and wait a little longer than Run hurt myslef and have to go get bandaged up.

I saw you in line for Diamondback on Friday! I didn't want to say anything considering you have no idea who I am haha.

The Beast at night is by far the best thing the park has to offer! Especially when there is mist and it is kind of cold. I'm so mad I didn't have a chance to ride it yesterday!

Absolute WORST park-going experience of my life!
I_heart_pki replied to IBEW_Sparky's topic in Trip Reports
Yesterday while me and my friend were in line for Diamondback a group of kids tried to cut us and half the line to meet up with another group of friends. I sopke up and said that there were signs saying no line jumping and that either they should split or all go to the back of the line. One 12 year old looking kid said something kind of rude and others waiting in line spoke up as well. to make a long story short so many people started complaining at the group that they eventually went to the back of the line. If you handle things calmly and rationally than you get a lot further than by "Blocking them." -
So for the senior trip all the seniors were herded onto charter buses and sent to Kings Island. I really didn't know what to expect considering that most of my friends don't like coaster but what happened is what I will remember as one of the best days at the park! We get to the park and get through security and me any my group head over to Action Zone. The first thing we rode was Flight Deck. It was a walk on. The paint job really is getting bad though. I mean REALLY bad. But you all already know this. The ride op was really nice also. making conversation with me and my friend from the booth about college haha. We get off the ride and half the group decided that they don't want to ride any more coasters so we branch off and decide to do our own thing. Me and three other guys of course lol decide to go ride Son of Beast. Okay so this was probably one of the lowest points of the day and thank goodness it was early enough to forget. The wait for SoB took us over an hour. I noticed that they only had the blue train going for most of the time. Se we finally get on and we sit in the first car of the blue train second row. The whole ride was PAINFUL! I thought that since I was in the front it would be smoother but I was completely wrong. I don't think I will ride SoB again. It was too long of a wait for something that hurt. So after Son of Beast the four of us did Drop Zone and Delirium and decided to go see what the line for Flight of Fear looked like. A little under half of the outside queue was occupied. I tried to explain that it was okay because the inside queue is only one line but they wouldn't listen so we went ahead and had lunch at LaRosa's! We had free drink bands so my total came to only 6 dollars and some change! I was so happy! After lunch only two of us wanted to keep riding so we decided to head over to Diamondback! Me and my friend Tyler who actually knows KI just about as well as I do had been waiting for this for over a year! We were so excited. While we were in line two kids tried to cut in front to get with their group. I told them quite nicely that there were signs posted that said no line jumping. Two people behind me said the same thing and eventually the kids went to the back of the line. I was so pleased with myself for finally speaking up about this. It would be nice if employees could be through out the lines watching for this but I know that can be hard to do. The wait for Diamondback took all of twenty minutes! I have to give it up to the employees they were really getting people loaded and unloaded quickly all while helping people enjoy themselves. Me and Tyler were assigned to row 6. and the ride was AMAZING!! The seating was so comfortable and the ride was so smooth. That first drop really does take you by surprise! We even felt the splashdown a little! All I can say is Kings Island seriously has a winner with this one! With adrenaline pumping through our veins after Diamondback we headed over to FoF to give it another try. The line took maybe twenty minutes to half an hour. Not too bad. Great ride and it will always have a soft spot in my heart! I love it! It has always been my favorite steel coaster so now I just say that it and Diamonback are tied. When we got off the ride we spotted some friends and decided to ride it again with them. There is nothing like riding a coaster with a huge group of friends! It is so much fun! After FoF me and Tyler headed back to Diamondback to ride it again. The wait was still about twenty minutes and we were put in row 13. The back is so much different from the front! It feels like you are being pulled through the whole ride. especially with that first drop! We get off and immediately get back in line. This time it took about half an hour and we were put in row 6 again. Amazing. After being bitten by Diamondback haha we headed over to Vortex and waited about 10-15 minutes. I found that it is not a good idea to ride immediately after Diamondback. The two are so completely different! Vortex caused some serious headbanging and was rougher than I remember it. Still love it though! After Vortex we decided to take a break and get something to drink and just walk around. We rode Scooby-Doo and then headed to I-Street. One other thing that bothered me was we went to the stand under the tower to get a drink and even though nobody was there the woman who waited on me seemed very troubled to get me a drink. I heard her mumble as we walked away that the drink bracelets were a waste of time. Not for me haha. We looked around the shops and then caught Please don't stop the music. It was a really good show. You can tell that the performers have worked very hard. It was so cute when The girls started singing put a ring on it by Beyonce all the guys gave rings to little girls in the audience. After that we decided to ride Diamondback again. This is what makes the trip the most memorable of them all! While we were waiting in line an older biker type man and his wife asked us if we had rode the ride. We explained everything about it and got to talking through out the wait in line. The man was very cautious about it and didn't really want to ride it. When they started asking how many riders we told them four so they put us in rows ONE AND TWO!! The couple didn't want the very front so me and Tyler graciously accepted it! While everyone else was being loaded and checked I was practically screaming at how happy I was! Brandon who was one of the workers yelled at the people in the queue that I was in the first row and it was really funny. As we were going up the hill a bunch of my friends that were in line saw me and were yelling. It was great! Then we made it to the top of the hill. IT WAS AMAZINGLY INCREDIBLE!!!!! I have never enjoyed myself as much as on the ride! To make a very long post short the couple loved the ride! I bought the picture and we all had a great time! I can't wait for my next trip up!!! Diamondback ride count-4 longest wait- 1hr complaints- 2 line jumper and Eiffel Tower free drink lady Overall- The park was very clean and kept and I really had a great time!!! Thanks for taking the time to read this I know it was long!!

I think this is a GREAT idea. I'll be able to find fellow members when I go to the park now!! I hope I can put my username on it though! The only problem is I'll have to change my username considering it is i_heart_pki and the park is no longer pki. This has bothered me for a while now! Hahah. Maybe I won't change it. -
Agree 100% That is what my parents did with me! Look how I turned out!! haha. Runaway Reptar is a good one too if they are tall enough!!
-
I would only be able to go on that Saturday. Plus, I don't know if I can afford it.
-
Oh I forgot it was that weekend!
-
I think I'm going to prom so now I need to come up with another day to go to KI. Thanks everyone who posted the advice for me. (even if it went from dealing with the crowds to actually going) Haha. The only weekends I have free are the 9-10 and then I go again for the senior trip. Maybe I'll go the day after graduation. That would be fun!

I_heart_pki replied to USArmy1985's topic in Kings Island
Now I'm worried!! I'm note exactly Really Big but I'm not exacltly small. Now I think I'm going to fast before the trip up there so I don't have to worry about it. Nahhh stupid idea. -
Well.... I still haven't decided haha. I swear I wrote this topic already know that I was going to go KI instead of prom. And now you guys have me all confused!!
-
Age limit is 21. For Blazer anyway.
-
I don't think there is enough time for me to be able to go now. I hate high school.

Prom is a week away so I don't think I have enough time to find a date. But who knows. Stranger things have happened I suppose.
