Every year. What’s weird is that it starts with us 1972. Obviously the park opened in ‘72, but the park’s history doesn’t begin there. They also have a blank one before the ‘72 block. Maybe they are going to summarize five years of history on that stone.

Tried two things over the weekend: Eiffel Tower pretzel (French Corner) and Banshee Scream dog (Jukebox). It looked more like an uppercase “A” than the Eiffel Tower but it was soft and had a buttery taste. I’ll be getting this one again. The Banshee Scream Dog wasn’t much to look at, but the taste was very good! It’s probably the first hotdog that I’d recommend. Haha These aren’t on the 50th list, but they came from the Sweet Spot. They are chocolate covered Oreos with gold coloring. I’ve tried several sweets for the 50th and this is the only one that I’d do again. The others were very good, but I’m not really into sweets. This had a very subtle taste that I really enjoyed!

I see what you’re saying though. Obviously Monday morning quarterbacking is easy.

Some of us have real PR degrees.

It’s only the park’s 50th anniversary celebration. It’s not like Barry Williams is going to hang out with himself all day. Speaking of which, wouldn’t you think the news would be there if Greg Brady is at the park? I have really seen anything in the news about it today. Good thing there’s the blog or we wouldn’t know anything about what’s going on at the park.

Probably the most excited I’ve been was for Diamondback. This is the next thing after that. I love the nightly show and this is a dream come true situation for me.

VIP Firework viewing (not the VIP tours, that’s different)

You likely hit the nail on the head!! Typically they don’t need to do full scale fireworks shows as a rehearsal, but which the problems that they had on the 29th, likely management wanted to see the show in its entirety. I’m so excited!!!!

The matte is something I really liked the look of. I bought the mattes on Amazon and the frames at Hobby lobby. You have to kind of center the photos on the matte and tape them down before framing them, which adds a bit of a challenge. Over all I’m happy with how they are turning out, especially the matte’s contrast with the PT poster.

Not to rain on your parade… Any redo if the ride will like 98% certainly follow the same layout (I’m rooting for your plans as much as you are!) but the cost of doing that vs using the current track is incredible. My fear is that if they brought it back it might employ too many cardboard cutouts and screens and be way too much like Boo and not enough like the original PT. Let’s hope that it’s a true fitting sequel to PT and not just another shoot ‘em up that would tarnish that’s great ride’s legacy. Of course, we are speculating way too much on this!

Just don’t be shocked if Don peppers in just a LITTLE BIT of knowledge of batting gloves and jock straps from time to time.

I’m finally getting these things matted and framed. I have these plus the train, but I ran out of frames. Before someone else calls me out, The Beast poster is the old one from before they had the partnership with the park.

I appreciate that! The video-cast was the hard part to figure out. I'm pretty good with computers, but I'm no genius with it. They have this vast open source software that someone recommended and I had to figure out all of it. Youtube helped a lot with that. haha

That’s what I wanted to do it on.
