  1. Pretty darn cool! https://www.kingsislandgear.com/products/the-racer-color-coaster-cutout
  2. Same here. Lesson learned. When they originally said the preorders sold out I freaked. Lol From now on, if they don’t offer a specific online discount like they did with the black sweatshirts then I’m going to have to be patient.
  3. You can get 3 meals? That’s news to me. I know there is a loophole where if you use it at more than one park you can get 3, but I don’t think the terms of KI’s allows for 3?
  4. I always thought they’d do a quiet reopening in the middle of this season. I doubt that now. Perhaps they are making modifications and using its reopening as a marketability factor. If someone modifies it I’d bet you dollars to donuts that Intamin has a big hand in it. Cedar Fair still works with them quite a bit, despite not having purchased any new rides for a while.

  7. I like how the pins are sometimes completely obscure. Like, it would be impossible to guess what the next pins would be because for all we know it’s the register at I-Street LaRosa’s.
  8. $29.99, just like the online store.
  9. I’d say the much bigger question is about weekends in November, since many of the other seasonal Winterfest parks have added them, often using them as the Peanuts Celebration.
  10. Now available in-park. No word on when the preorders will ship. These are actually cooler than I thought they’d be!
  11. Or it’s mislabeled online. I haven’t gotten to check the park yet, but it would be weird to have a price change mid-line. I’m hoping that’s the case.
  12. 2 sides to loyalist programs; 1. High perceived value, low cost rewards (your coupon idea is spot on) 2. Being able to leverage it to drive certain behaviors: attendance, spending, etc, How do random emails do that?
  13. Gee, I’m glad I bothered to click the link, figure out how to get to the pass portal (the link takes you to general Pass Park info), and reset my password (it kept prompting me to change my email address instead for some reason)… only to find out I don’t have any Pass Perks. This has good intentions but needs work.
  14. Very, very interesting https://www.ocregister.com/2022/07/26/niles-new-chaperone-policy-should-be-a-first-step-for-knotts
  15. Put me down as having bought them all. I plan to buy the full set and display. Those and the MTT posters are some of my favorite products this year!
  16. I love these.
  17. July 25th is National Carousel Day! What's the difference between a carousel and a merry-go-round? Don Helbig has some theories that are... unusual...

  18. This product is approximately 10” tall. I know some people were asking. Also, I understand that it is made of metal, not plastic. Makes it harder to 3D print. I can scan it for whomever has a 3D printer as a fun project.
  19. As @Snowball assumed, this was about 10 minutes after the concert. People were walking out. The crowd was good!!
  20. I debated putting this as a trip report, but I feel like this is more factual than reporting my experience. I went to the Skillet concert last night. I’m not very familiar with the band, but they did put on a great show. We had Ultimate VIP tickets, and this is what that is all about: First, Ultimate VIP gets you a ticket in the first few rows. We were in the second row. The site lines there were great. Obviously it was loud but the sound was good. Very enjoyable experience with the show itself. The VIP Lounge is stage left. It is newly built and has a bar, free snacks (pretzels and chips), and one of those decent air conditioned trailers for bathroom. Surprisingly, you can use your drink plan at the bar. My favorite part was how, with Ultimate VIP, you had access to this view of the stage from the actual wing of the stage. There are two tiers of VIP: VIP and Ultimate VIP. They give each group a different wrist band. Although VIP has access to the lounge, this is a perk of Ultimate VIP. You can get in the vicinity of the side of the stage, but to walk up onto the wing you need the Ultimate VIP. You also get a private Wi-Fi network. I’m not kidding. I think that we are all rooting for the park with the concert series, but I wanted to have concerts as another dynamic of the park, but didn’t put much thought into actually going. I had such a positive experience that now I really hope that a band I regularly listen to will come soon. This VIP experience was definitely something I would want to do again. I know there have been some reports of hiccups in the logistics of the concerts, but I can say that I did not experience that at all. Everyone was rehearsed, knowledgeable, and organized. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this far, 2022 has been the finest season in our great park’s history! Oh, and just for fun: here is the back side of the giant video boards. Have you been to a concert yet? What has been your experience?

Don’t want to hear it.
